Spoon Full of Sugar - Happy Birthday!

Spoon Full of Sugar Challenge is back this week! And the theme this week is simply "Happy Birthday" - create a card/project for a birthday. We all love having those cards on hand don't we? For me I got a chance to play with one of the brand new Stampavie images!!! She is gorgeous! And I tried out a new folding technique. I have always wanted to try these cards! Too fun! Once I figured it out!

My card base is a 5.5 X 12 inch card - I followed the sizes from a tutorial at Splitcoast. You can see it here.  Was a fun card to make, I used DCWV papers and sewed them to add more texture to the card. My flowers are Heartfelt Creations Die Cuts with the petals rolled and then stacked. The sentiments are from Papertrey Ink's Birthday Inside and Out set. (love that set)

And now that great new image! She is by artist Penny Johnson "Cute little Anna". Just love her! I colored with my new ProMarkers.... getting better, but I do believe I need more colors.. LOL
Here I used: Blush, Oatmeal and Ivory for the face. Buttercup and Carmel for the hair. Baby Pink and Dusty Rose for her scarf and ribbon in her hat. And then Powder Blue, Blue Pearl and Denim Blue for the shirt and hat.

Here is the inside sentiment  - close up. Good Birthday sentiment!
Now make sure to pop over to Spoon Full of Sugar and see all the Birthday fun, then join us for another great prize this week ok?

Me... I think I am going to go and love on a new baby donkey :0)

We have a new baby!

Leave it to Lacey to want to have her baby in the middle of the day! Yep... a few minutes before noon Hubby came in telling me to grab my shoes and camera that Lacey was in labor. By 12:15 baby Gabrielle was standing!

Now I have really struggled whether or not show "birthing photos", I have had request. And finally decided that they really are a miracle.  So I decided to go for it. If you would rather not see them, then just enjoy this top photo... and then I'll show more on Saturday all fluffy and cute.

Lacey does really well. And is a super Mom. Seriously from start to baby standing was about 15 minutes!

We don't "help" unless there is danger. But we don't like it when they insist on giving birth in a not so clean place. Here Hubby is making sure that her nose is up and not shoved into the "dirt".
Sack has broke and now we are making sure that the baby is breathing on her own.. yep... and kicking too! She is ready to get going!
Now Hubby is making sure that the cord has broke clean, and all is well.... this is also where he peeked to see if we had a boy or girl :0)
Now Mom and baby are bonding. Then we get in there and bond :0)
And on her own standing just under 15 minutes... by 20-30 minutes she was having her first meal :0)
Stunning little girl - Long super model legs - and love them long ears too! Saturday I'll show off more photos! Hope you enjoyed :0) It really is a miracle and blessing to be there during such an amazing thing!

Dust It Off Sunday - Stamping Bella - Wedding Couple

I love my Best Buddy Tracey - We have lots of fun together, laughing is what we do most, that and pedicures :0)  - I got a call this week from her, she needed a little help with "ideas" for her daughters Bridal Shower. I love Tracey.... and her daughter Brittany.... if not I would have never gone from that phone call to sitting at my desk for two straight days for these....

LOL - now I made the proto type. So the sewing around each mat and each image was all me. And for that one proto type card, no biggie.... I love to sew on my cards. But 40 of them. That is sewing around each card topper twice for a total of 80 times around!! LOL -  Now from my part they go to Tracey - She is working on the printed insides of each card, she will then take each of my toppers, put them on the bases and then each of those pretty wedding dresses will be stickled. For the much needed sparkle and bling. If you knew Tracey, you would know they have to have Bling on them!

The Stamping Bella Wedding Couple was just PERFECT for these - I purchased this stamp a few years ago, used it once and then it has boxed up with many other stamps just waiting for these Bridal Shower Invites! Seriously - This is the perfect couple to use on this wedding couples card! Just as cute and perfect as they are! No really, they are perfect. Barbie and Ken have nothing on these two!

Hope she likes them. Now we move on to decorations..... hey those should be fun and a breeze now!

Hope you have a wonderful Sunday! Me - I am spending the day with Hubby - we are thinking a date day is in order- a get away day..... hmmm wonder what we will end up doing. Romantic Dinner? Movies? The Museum? The Park? Heck I enjoy lunch at the Local Mexican Restaurant, and shopping at Lowes Hardware with my Hubby :0) As long as we get some time together right?

Animal Crackers - Little Miha has found a new home....... ;0(

I showed this photo during the week.. but thought I would share it again for those that missed it. Cuz it is the last one of our little Miha -
Yes.. you read that right. Yesterday I got a phone call from a gentleman looking for a little girl. I was so torn, I really didn't want to sell her, as I have gotten so attached. But I know that we just can't keep all our babies. And she will bring love and joy to another family. We are very sad, but feel good about her going. Pout Pout

Autie and Chica are really going to miss her, but they do have each other. And honestly Chica has been a little down with the attention that the puppies were getting.
So Chica goes back to being my baby...

Got a cute photo of Gato our cat - She LOVES to watch out side from her Bed Lounge. Enjoying the birds, and goats from the comfort of a cushy bed and air conditioning.
I took this photo from outside - :0) Love that you can see the bottom of her little foot pressing on the window.

NO we didn't forget to get a photo of Miss. Libbie - she is in her skinny stage from the babies. I think she was about ready for the last one to leave. She still would tend to her, but wasn't letting her nurse anymore.
She is such a super model. Now she can go back to just being the leader of the three - running the house and no worries of babies.

Do you love this photo I got of Bo or what!!! I leaned over the fence to talk to him. Now mind you he is one of the skittish ones and normally would bolt to talk to me from a safer distance.
But instead he just stood there looking straight up at me with those gorgeous baby blues! Sad he has to go off to the sale barn soon.... I hope he will go somewhere that he can pass on those gorgeous eyes.

The Girls pen was having dinner when I got to them. I just love that Juliet has bonded so much to these girls. We really wanted her to run with the other standards, but we just are not pushing her, she loves her "little" friends.

Lydia is her bestest friend - she is ALWAYS by her side. Actually Juliet is by Lydia's side, as Lydia all though smaller is the leader -

Lydia's Mom is getting really close to having another baby!! I just hope she will wait until evening, or early morning. Her last two she has had in the middle of the day and it is just too hot for that now.
As long as they are both healthy - we are happy. Lacey is a great Mom and has really given us some pretty girls. Well Raffie technically supplied the girl part right? But Lacey has done her part on good friendly babies!

Here is our wonderful spot Jack Raffie - many know him as my "smiling donkey" But he is a working guy here... and has given us many great SMALL babies. Most of which have been girls.
I just had to share one more... it was tooooo darn cute!

Hubby was getting hay to feed the goats. We don't use big round bales in with them. Well Raffie and his three girls here really was hoping that they were going to get some too.... Here they were just keeping a close eye on "Dad" But when he went the other way with they hay they let out a few "Over here - we want some too" yells for him. Then they went off to their round bale and had dinner. LOL

Hope you enjoyed today's Animal Crackers - And we hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Just Magnolias and Hanglars - Anything Goes with an option of Glitter!

Just Magnolias and Hanglars Challenge day and today is our Anything Goes day... with an option of Glitter to your project.

Me, I was trying to do a bit different in shape, I don't know it is still square-ish... so didn't do so good on the different aspect. But I got lots of Glitter in there!

Basically this is a simple easel card, I just didn't like the full size for my stamps - They fit so perfectly side by side. ;0) Love these adorable little Hanglars. And those huge wings leave lots of space for lots of glitter! The blue mat paper is also glittered paper ;0) DCWV Linen Collection. The flower pattern is also DCWV. I wanted something pretty across the top, and love the MFT die with those delicate scallops, they fit perfect across the 6 inch card, and make a topper I think. OH and do you love that sentiment :0) It is from Papertrey Ink. I found the metal flower in my stash while sorting this past week. It looks much darker here in the photo. It really does match better in person  -

So now pop over to Just Magnolias and Hanglars Challenge and see all the DT work. There are some wonderful things this week! Then join us - maybe add a little glitter?

Have a wonderful Friday! See you tomorrow for Animal Crackers!

Belinda and the Cardinal

Sorry for the second post today.... Blogger and I didn't get a long and instead of scheduling - it posted.... sometimes I just don't get along with that scheduler!!
Stampavie’s Belinda and the Cardinal
I am very excited to get to show off a brand new image released by Stampavie! This is Belinda and the Cardinal – isn’t she beautiful.

She is my first image colored with my new ProMarkers :0) Thanks so much Letraset ! I am really enjoying them - taking a little time to learn the smaller point instead of my brush end of the Copics. But the ink is wonderful... I am just going to need more colors now! But I am really looking forward to their new product at Letraset - Their new FlexMarkers - really interesting and I am looking forward to giving them a try as soon as they are available. Ok.. back to my card. The colors used will be listed below.
One of my favorite things about this stamp is that the bird is separate, so you can place it where ever you want, and as many times as you want!

For the background of my card I chose 5 different pattern papers from My Minds Eye – Lost & Found Market Street Collection. One as the mat, then I cut the four other patterns into 1.5 inch squares, then sewed them all together with a zig zag stitch. My own quilted background. Love this look! My image was cut into an Oval – with my Nesties. The scroll work on the ends is a Spellbinders Fancy tag cut in half and put on the ends of the oval. This pretty girl needed lots of pearls. I cut a pearl flourish into pieces and then placed around the oval as if behind. The sentiment is from Papertrey Ink, Wonderful Words with matching die cut words.

ProMarkers Used: Dusky Rose, Pale Pink, Baby Pink, Blush, Caramel,Tan, Burnt Sienna, Ivory, Powder Blue, Sky Blue, Apricot, Warm Grey 3, Warm Grey 5, Blender

Hope you enjoyed my card – Have a great day!

Me and My Space - more drawers - and a clean shelf!

Hi :0)  I have been working on my room, really I have! But why is it I am getting deeper and deeper and it isn't getting any better? I have been sorting through stuff and actually putting that donation box together and filling it! Ok, so it isn't filling as fast as I wanted. I am just having such a hard time getting rid of stuff. I am so scared that I will want it later. sigh.. I'll buckle down and try harder....

I have been also sorting out and changing some of my desk drawers, as I sort things I am wanting newer things close at hand I guess you could say. Here are three more drawers -

First is my Bling Drawer - love this drawer. Is it good or bad that I need an entire drawer for my bling? Adhesive pearls, rhinestones and such are just so needed!

Then I have a Pan Pastel Tool drawer. I have always wanted to do more with my pan pastel paints. And I have played with them since getting them last year, just not a lot to show off you understand :0)  - But I love playing with them
Next drawer - oh first.. if you look to the left of my drawers, you can see my Pan Pastel paints standing up ;0) Now the drawer, new stuff - I received a gift certificate to an online store, and have just been dying to use some of the Claudine Hellmuth Studio paints. They are Acrylic paint, but unlike the "cheaper" bottle ones I have used forever, these are suppose to be semi gloss and well... richer :0) I just got them, and haven't had time to play with them... but I hope to soon!
Here is a close up for ya ;0) If you have used them before... hints please?

Now I'll show off my clean shelf! I wait way too long to do this, one reason is it above my desk. My very wide desk - I have a heck of a time getting to it. So I tend to let it just stay as is... dust and all you could say.
But while cleaning, I decided it was past time and climbed up there and got everything down and dusted it off... then I decided it was time to put more recent things with some of my favorites. I do loving having a non-reachable place to display things.  Do you have display space in your area?

The puppy pen was picked up this week as well. Our one left puppy just was not happy in it all alone, and I have no spine and just can't let her cry and cry and howl and scream.... So she is out free - doing ok with the run of the house. We have a few tiny accidents, but if we remember to take her out as soon as she wakes up or every couple of hours - then she is good!  Wanna see this weeks photo?
We are still waiting for that perfect person to want to buy "Precious" but until then, or until we are so attached we can't let her go, she is part of our busy household. OH... and Hubby came clean and said Precious was fine for her when she was a slug in a kennel, and maybe even when her sister was still here and being the forceful one. But now, Precious just isn't fitting, he didn't like that for her name. She is getting her own personality and all though Precious.... we are now calling her "Mija" Which is locally  Spanish slang for "mi hija" - translation - basically it is a term of endearment for a little girl around here.  Perfect for this little precious puppy :0)  Especially since her older sister is "Chica" which is girl in Spanish!  I keep telling Hubby we are not keeping her.... but if someone doesn't come forward soon and want her... I am getting really attached to my little Mija :0)

HUGS and have a wonderful day!
