Sorry I did not post yesterday - it was a very sad day for us. Bonnie my Border Collie passed away in the night. It was a very difficult day for both Hubby and I. The house seems so empty, but I will say she played until the last day. She ran the fence with the Donkeys, and played frisbee her last day - I really believe that the Lord knew that Hubby and I were going to have a very hard time dealing with "job" of taking her to the vet when her Cancer got to bad. So he took her for us. Hubby says the Lord must have needed the best Border Collie on the planet and that she was. I still can't believe it.
I don't mean to make anyone sad - but I know so many of you have emailed and commented on my baby's fight with cancer and her status, so I felt I had to give time to let you all know how much your kind words meant to us, and my baby didn't suffer and was "Bonnie" all though slower, but "Bonnie" until that last afternoon.
As you can imagine - crafting was not something I could do last night. I have a couple of cards to show - and was going to go ahead and post one today and then decided not to - just didn't feel right to share a card with a Goodbye to my baby. I'll go back to the cards tomorrow.
Gato is missing her, keeps looking for her and can't find her. Libbie is just too young to know what is going on. Libbie has big shoes to fill - may be a hard task for such a little dog. But she does bring smiles between our tears. I know Bonnie is better off, things could have been a lot worse for her - now she is at rest and yes at rest with her Frisbee that was always with her outside.
Again thanks for all of your kind words and support during the past two months, dealing with her Cancer. She really was the best Border Collie ever.
