Tuesday!!! It is Spoon Full of Sugar Day, and today "Love is in the Air" - yes the challenge this week is love - Valentines Love. My favorite holiday! (our Anniversary and Hubbies b-day!)
My card today used three of the newer Alota Rubber Stamps images. "Girlfriend Sharon", "Chocolate Candy Box" and the sentiment from the "Valentine Cuties Set". Now I did something a bit different - I stamped everything with the Mementos London Fog ink... a light gray. I love the Candy box that way, but I think Sharon should have been done in black... the features show up better.
Everything is colored with Copic Markers, and high lighted with white gel pen. Again I have used one piece of the Making Memories Sabrina paper, the Martha Stewart large Valentine border punch on the top and the bottom. The cute checked ribbon is from the Sabrina ribbon collection. My flowers - bottom layer is a EK Success retro punch, stacked with a tiny prima pink flower, jewelry spacer and a MM Sabrina mini heart brad. Stitched the edges with black on the image, and white on the black card stock background.
Make sure to check out all of the "Love" at the Spoon site, the DT's work is all pretty and full of hearts! Hope you will join in too some great prizes!
Sorry this is short and quick today.... lots to do this morning! I am soooooooo excited! Today is Heidi and Stuart day!!! Now what does that mean? Well Heidi and Stuart are the owners of Stampavie... yes Stampavie they live in France and are here in the states for CHA, they are flying to Texas today!!! Now they are coming to meet me, but I think a lot is also to meet the donkeys! LOL! I have been looking so forward to this for weeks and weeks, but didn't want to jinx anything by saying it out loud! Well today is the day and we are going to pick them up at the air port in a few hours! So some last minute cleaning and making sure things are ok outside! Sad thing is the weather has been gorgeous the last week, high 70's and sunny.... sad because this morning a serious front is coming through and it is going to be in the 40's this afternoon and drizzling. Not great donkey viewing weather. But we will make do.... Hope you have some fun planned today...
