Animal Crackers - Making Me Smile

Howdy -

These "children" of mine each have a way of making me smile. They each have their own personalities and show them off in there own way. Some are down right hysterical... some a calm and beautiful. Some are just trying to get the most attention -

Juliet and Lacey were at the fence pushing... shoving and both working to get the first head scratch and the largest share of attention. Juliet usually wins at this as she is a standard donkey among miniatures... but Lacey said NOPE not this time girlfriend!

And with a grin like that you just have to laugh out loud and let her have that first rub! LOL good thing I have two hands though... Juliet wasn't giving up that easy!

Lacey's grown daughter Gabby was working the big brown eyes for attention.

This girl can rock both the sweet batting eyes for attention or the pushy shove attention depending on her mood. Today it was the calm beautiful look working best....

Now Ellie Mae's personality is usually calm and beautiful. She always looks so pretty..... but she gets the biggest grins from Hubby and I when she calls out to us.

This gal has a yell that can scare some. Sounds like a two or three year old child scream at the top of her lungs. Makes you jump for sure if you aren't use to it. I love it... she is the only one with this distinctive voice. And even when I am in the house I hear it far out in the pasture and it makes me smile.

Rhett can be listed as one of those pushy personalities....

But this girl can also stand perfectly still and make me laugh. I always get this feeling she is saying "Look deep into my eyes... good and now bring me some treats" Those eyes can melt you ....

And I know Spartacus has been shown more than once wearing his hay... But seriously if you are going to list ones that make me smile... Spartacus is for sure in list!

Usually it is breakfast he enjoys storing on his... but this week I found him out there scooping up and walking around with a small pile of hay late in the day. Guess he was just proud he found a little late afternoon snack... or it was just a fashion statement... LOL

Now Autie's fashion statement was not too funny... Ok so I laughed a little... but Hubby, nope he was not happy.... You see Autie had a bath the night before I snapped this photo.

He decided that his fluffy clean fur would feel good rolling around outside... yep Hubby was not thrilled with the boy. But who are we kidding... he really wasn't too mad... you can never stay upset with that sweet face!

One of the outdoor kitties, Samantha was not kidding around with me though... LOL She was reaching out to me... or was it the can food I told her about?

LOL Check out those claws! LOL Sweetest kitty alive in reality... well unless you are holding back some can food! She did let me give her some loving before her meal though. So all is good.

Hope you got a smile this week. Maybe a chuckle or two....
Have a wonderfully blessed weekend!

Whimsy Stamps - Poppy

Howdy -

Whimsy Stamps just has soooo many fabulous artist! It is so hard to choose one favorite, and you don't have too! This week I was so excited to color up "Poppy" by Sylvia Zet.

Now I colored with my Copics (colors below) and then used papers from Paper Studio. Sewing down the layers. Now I have been playing with Whimsy's new "Honeycomb Pattern" Die. I wanted it to have a thick look to it so I painted it with dimensional glaze. And since my Large Martha Stewart large leaf punch and Marvy flowers punch were on my desk I thought they would be pretty with "Poppy" as well. I added Stickles to her wings and lots of stickles for the image to sparkle. I guess sweet little fairies and lady bugs should sparkle? Not sure why I thought this but is does sparkle!

High Hopes Stamps - Kovu Drops In

Howdy -

Enjoying playing with more High Hopes Stamps this week. And this week "Kovu Drops In"

Isn't he just adorable! I saw that sweet little blanket he is dropping in with as an opportunity paper pieced effect. Picked my papers from Pebbles Front Porch collection. Love that gingham with the flowers papers. So I colored with my copics (colors below) and then stamped and cut out the blanket out of the gingham paper and the red pattern paper.  Then glued the pieces onto the image. I sewed the papers down with zig zag stitches. Some Martha Stewart Large leaf punches and Marvy small flowers for embellishment. White paint dotted for centers. Finished off with the great High Hopes sentiment "Falling For You"

Animal Crackers - Cozy Bed

Howdy -

The doggies got a couple of new beds this week. I just love a clearance sale... and They LOVE the new beds...

This was seconds after it landed on the floor. And all three dogs have been moving from bed to bed and stretching out and enjoying them. Now honestly... When Libbie wants one the others usually give it up... but well... when Gato wants one....

Yep she isn't as easily persuaded to pass it up. But with Libbie's high pitch constant barking she does end up deciding the noise was just not worth it... She can sleep just about anywhere...

And the warm laundry I just got out of the dryer was purrrrrrfect! Now how she thinks this position is comfortable I have no idea... but she was like that for hours. No worries this was Hubby's laundry not mine... I would have made her leave if it had been mine, wouldn't have wanted to all that cat hair on my clean laundry. :0)

Louise was lounging and posing pretty for me too...

Such a pretty little girl. Those ice blue eyes and those jet black "boots" she is wearing... just stunning.

Was heading back inside when Rico called out to me...

Now honestly it was more that he wanted some afternoon hay, but he did call out. Handsome man. And seems like lately he has been wanting to have more than his share of blog time. But it is ok Rico... you are a handsome stud and I love showing you off... :0)

Hope you enjoyed this week. I didn't venture out to the far pens.. Been a bit under the weather and walking out too far would have been just more than I had in me. Wish I could find out who gave me this so I can give it back!! I felt I needed a nap after typing this up! Thinking jammies, a blanket and a good old movie sounds good today.... Oh in a Cozy Bed.... Not Libbie's though....

Have a blessed day - HUGS and

Animal Crackers - Yep it's 2017

Howdy -

Yes, I realize I made the classic January error last week. I dated my photographs with last years dates... sigh... hey I haven't written any checks so I have to mess up something dated wrong.

Now I guess that I have to start off by letting you know that it hasn't been such a great week here. Last weekend we lost two of our adult boy goats. Chachi and Paul ... we have been so sad.

Chachi has always been a favorite around our place. Stunning coloring and outgoing personality.

Paul was a shy boy, but very friendly.

We believe that it was some sort of pneumonia, our weather here has been warm, cold, hot, wet, freezing then warm again all in a couple of weeks time. It must have been too much for these two boys. So very sad.

Because of that I think we have been paying even more attention to all the other "kids". The other two boys in our MEN pen... Hank and Chuck are doing good and loving the extra attention and extra feed.

Hank has always been one to love the extra attention. He knows how to demand it as well. Since his days as a tiny baby to now always a cutie.

And his 1/2 brother Charles "Chuck" a bit more cautious and laid back than his brother..

Looks so much like Hank, just as cute. But such a different personality.

Wyatt is another semi look alike for Hank and Chuck - He has Hanks more outgoing personality. Soon he should be moving down to the adult MEN's pen.

Love that little grin on his face.. those shiny pearl whites showing through. Ok so not too shiny. Now I have told you in the past about that red on their horns.. how they do that on the fence panels.

Caught Spartacus in the act.

I guess that rubbing them feels good. You know like a great scratch. Spartacus will also me making the move to the Men Pen. Just making sure things are safe as you see Spartacus is a bit of curious little dude and I want to make sure he can't find any way out.

Next week we have a family coming out to visit looking for a pair of boy donkeys... So we will be introducing them to Patricio "Pat" and Flavio.

Will do some serious tears when these two find their forever home. Wish it could be here, but we just can't keep all the guys. I know if this family falls for these two they will have happy homes, and be loved but it still makes me sad to see them go. But these two will spread lots of joy.

Hope you have a blessed weekend -

Howdy -

More new release from Whimsy Stamps today. And today I colored up Lee Holland's "Mouse with Rose" such a pretty little mouse with a large rose! I colored with my Copics (colors below) and then cut him out.

Cute isn't he? or is it a she? Then I wanted to try another new Whimsy Stamps new product... New Butterflies Stencil. I can't wait to try some other new things with this stencil. For this card I pulled out my PanPastels and chalked up some pink and purple butterflies. Layered onto a polka dot paper and kraft card stock. Doodled around the edges. Then for a sentiment a great die cut "hello".
