Just Magnolia & Hanglar Challenge - Two or more Stamps!

Happy Friday - this week at Just Magnolia & Hanglar Challenge it was my turn to host and choose the theme. Having so many images to choose from I thought it might be fun to use at least two on the project/card. Mask and use Backgrounds, accessories or just 2 or more images anywhere on the project.

For my card I used three images. This card is for my MIL for Mothers Day on Sunday.. so shhh don't show her ok?

I made an easel card, MIL likes those cuz they stand up on her coffee table. Now yes, I know this is a BOLD card. But I just totally fell head over heels at this paper. These papers are from the Graphic 45 Fashionista collection. They remind me of my my MIL...

So I stamped by masking all three images to create my scene. All my layers are sewed down, Papertrey Ink red satin dotted ribbon as bands on both the top and bottom with a lacey edge created with My Favorite Things die. Leaf flourish and the sentiment are also from Papertrey Ink. Mulberry Roses and Martha Stewart branch punches.

Now make sure to head over to the Just Magnolia and Hanglar Challenge and see all the Dt inspiration, and then join us for this weeks prize.

We are dealing with water here.. rain water. Drying up  and HOT and then rain rain rain. We so need it so this is not complaining at all. But I just feel for all the animals... it is really soggy out there. I hope I can get out there and get photos for tomorrow. You may see a lot of wet animals -

Whimsy Challenge - Make it Pop

Today is the Whimsy Stamps Challenge - and the challenge? It is to add some sort of POP to you card. However you interpret that works! For me I saw this adorable kitty, from Crissy's Digitals called "Love Me Anyway" - those eyes just melt your heart huh?

You know... those are the same eyes I get from Puppy Tuco when eats a whole in my sheet rock! Or rips the mail, or eats my credit card, or has an accident. LOL

For my card I used kraft card stock for the base. Matting of cream card stock then lots of papers from the My Minds Eye Lost and Found Sunshine collection. I sewed things down, created a band across the middle with a scrap of paper and two die punched lace borders from My Favorite Things. I cut the kitty out in an oval first. then I did two other kitties, cut on one and popped it on top of the first, the third I cut out just the flower pop and popped it on top as well. That way... it POPS off the card!

Here is a side view -
I cut a spellbinders Nestie Label to go behind the oval - OH.. I did something else different. Well different for me, I wanted every layer to have a shadow look to it. I took a black Copic and barely went around every layer... was surprised how much it effected things. Love how it looks. A Black pearl flourish is added for some bling. And then six metal dots on the oval. My sentiment are very old Making Memories alphabet stickers.

The inside is done as well - very simply doing the same layers as the top.

I had lots of fun with this one - And I bet you could find a few fabulous digital images at Whimsy Stamps that you could have some fun with as well.  But first hop on over to the Whimsy Challenge Blog and see all the other DT POP cards, and then join us!

Thanks for visiting - :0)

Whimsy Sweet Donkey

Well I guess you have seen that I have done a little spring clean up to my blog. I needed to make it fresh and new. And since I had just gotten the new Whimsy Sweet Donkey Rubber Stamp, and just finished coloring it - it seemed like a fun new header for my blog. Life is changing for me, and a clean fun look here is a good start.

And while I had the image colored - I decided to make a special card. Just to play and have fun. And boy did I play with this one :0)

Here is my card 0
Used my Copics of course - and the papers are My Minds Eye Lost and Found. Sewed all the pieces down. I had this wonderful mini wood fence that just had to be used. This is one of the embellishments that I buy, so excited to have it, and then am afraid to use it cuz once it is gone it is all gone. (insert shocked face here) But I have decided that I need to use! USE! USE! If I run out of something, then I will just replace it with something new. Common you know I will -

Then I got the new leafy branch die from Memory Box. OH So love this die. Heck I am loving all the Memory Box dies. I ran this through twice, once with brown card stock and then again with green. I clipped all the leaves and glued them onto the branches. I then punched out some Martha Stewart flowers,  folder the petals up and dotted and shaded with pink copic. Now I have no idea what this tree is in reality. But when playing it is a real tree...

The Sentiment is also from Whimsy Stamps, Fanciful Birthday Notables 1. Die cut with a matching die.

Here is my card from the side - lots of depth -

And you can see I have done the inside as well -

Man I had fun with this one! Hope it made you smile.

If you were looking over my blog changes, you may have noticed that Stampavie is no longer listed under my design teams. I have decided that it is time to step down and have a break. I also will no longer be working as the Sales Rep for Stampavie. No worries, all is ok, just time to move on and "re-fresh" things.

Looking forward to playing with new things, and some old things. Getting to know new companies and at some point probably looking for more DT work possibilities. But today... I am enjoying my new Whimsy Digital spot and surfing the web for other fun images.

Have a great Day  - and see you tomorrow for my first challenge card on the Whimsy Inspirational Challenge Blog!

Animal Crackers - MEET BABY FLAVIO!!

Yes... we have had a baby Donkey! Late Thursday afternoon Bella decided it was time for us to meet her son, Flavio. (Hubby named him... some old time race car driver or something)
He is one handsome guy! And doing great. Bella is a great Mom. She did so good delivering him, when I went out to check on her he was already standing and eating. This was about 45 minutes after he was born.
 Adorable or what?
This is Friday afternoon - Bella catching up on some eating, and he was following like a good little boy.

Of course I did get the Day One photo with "Dad"

While out snapping the photos of Flavio, I made sure to talk to Pedro. He has been the only baby boy for awhile. Wanted to make sure he knew we still love him and he is just as adorable. :0)

He is a sweetie -
Then I went over to the goat pen - We are in the middle of building something special for the goats, can't wait to show it off... but you have to wait until it is finished.

Until then how about two girls -
Betty Davis -

Lovin those blue eyes! Those Betty Davis Eyes... We have quite a few of the kids with blue eyes -

Gracie is another that is just stunning -

She is a keeper for sure! She really is a looker, love her eyes, yes, but that black and white is just gorgeous. I love those Gorgeous Black Boots she has :0)

While I was in the goat pen, my little buddy was waiting patiently in the shade for me....

He loves to watch all the baby goats play. Sometimes it just gets more than he can handle and he runs the fence and barks, but today he was just chillin' and watching. Ha...just noticed his wonderful vet tag... little boy is teething as you can see. If I was brave, I would show you the three walls that are missing sheet rock, the corners of the base board and the leg of one of the chairs. LOL It is so good that he is cute :0)

Hope you enjoyed this week. It is just too fun around here right now.
Have a great Saturday -

Me and My Space - Coolest Vintage Ribbon Storage EVER!

I have been so excited to share this with you! This has to be the coolest Vintage Ribbon Storage EVER! And I am very lucky that I was able to see the possibilities of it while at auction.

This is an antique Pharmacy Medicine Label Cabinet.

Seriously - Cool huh? I saw this cabinet at an auction, and I told Hubby that I HAD to have it. He looked at me like I had lost my marbles. I tried to explain to him how I thought it worked, I couldn't actually get my hands on it to make sure. But I was almost sure that it would work like it did in my head... LOL Anyway we got it! Paid a little more than I had set my limit for. Isn't that the way it always is at auctions. But I won and that was all I cared about. When we got it home I was thrilled.

It has 4 drawers. And in each drawer are slots with metal spring loaded tabs that stick out of the front of the cabinet. This is so the rolls of pharmacy labels can stick out and can be torn off when needed, fast and organized. Here is the inside of one of the drawers with the labels still in it... Yes... it still had ALL the labels inside! And this thing dates early 1900's!
Ok, now can you see it? The rolls run under the copper tabs and out the front of the drawers. There are like 62 slots total. Now since most of my ribbons are smaller than the width of the labels I was able to put 3 ribbons in most of the slots. Giving me a total of 152 Ribbons in this cabinet!!!! Sad that barely touches my ribbon stash, LOL, but my favorites are now all stored on my desk in this totally awesome antique cabinet!

And now I have all these totally cool old pharmacy labels. I am going to probably sell most all of them. Once I snag a few for "just in case" I want to use them some day. :0)

Now my big decision is should I leave the original cardboard titles on the drawers? I am one that likes originality, but it would be totally cute to put lace or something across each drawer. I don't know for now I am just leaving it. And totally enjoying it.

I have to show it again....

Ok... have to go and have a happy dance now :0)

See you tomorrow - I have something super SPECIAL to show you for Animal Crackers -

Follow Your Dreams

My turn to post on the Stampavie DT blog, and I pulled out the new Tina Wenke image Mouse and Poppy Seeds.

Tina images just make me smile. And this one is a favorite :0)

I colored with my ProMarkers, and kept it really bright and colorful. My papers are from Graphic 45, sewed down. My leaves are from Papertrey Ink, love their matching dies and stamps. I punched EK Success Retro Flowers, rolled the petals, and stacked the two smaller sizes. The centers are Pearl Pen.

The sentiment is also from Tina Wenke, cut out with a Papertrey Ink mat stacking dies.

I hope that this Tina Wenke card gave you a smile :0)

Have a great day -
