A Spoon full of another new image!

We are putting our pieces together! Yes A Spoon Full of Sugar this week is asking us to use some Paper Piecing in your images. And we have a fabulous prize this week of the cute High Hopes stamp "Love Birds" which has been kindly donated by Bryony owner of Silly Monkey Crafts. I love doing paper piecing, how fun it makes the images to have the pattern papers appear in the images makes them pop.

For my card this week I again have used one of the new sneak peeks from Stampavie's Leere Aldrich brand new line!

This is "Mother and Daughter" but I think they look more like best friends. I stamped my image first on my white card stock, then a second time on a scrap of pink pattern paper from My Minds Eye, the a third time on a scrap of blue, that I have no idea who it is.. scrap no name. Both of these pattern papers are two sided, so I then stamped a fourth and fifth time on the back sides to create their "pants". I colored my image with Copics, then cut out their clothes and "dressed" them. Don't they look cute? I used the scraps for the papers on the card, I just love that pink My Minds Eye.
I used brown card stock for the base, the pink papers I cute and then used the Martha Stewart Doily Lace border punch on the edge. I inked the edges of everything with brown ink. I found ribbon that matched perfect in my stash, but I thought it was too narrow - so I ran it twice lining up the stripes created a checkered look. You again today see the new sentiment from Leere Aldrich... told you that I would be using it a bunch! Now for my flowers... what do you think about those big silver circles? I am not sure about them, kind of odd, but you see I purchased this big box of silver jewelery making pieces at the LSS garage sale the other day and there is a bunch of these circle things - so I thought I would see how they work on a card.... still wondering here - LOL I stacked Prima flowers, spacers and mini brads. I love those printed primas.. add so much drama!
And of course I had to gel pen stitch down everything -
You just must go over and check out the other DT cards at A Spoon Full of Sugar, wow these ladies piece things together!! Really wonderful work!
I have to tell you I have a great Hubby... I have been calling all of the Micheal's stores around town waiting for the new Martha Valentine border punches, I must have them... I collect hearts...so I just must! Well they still don't have them in stock! And yesterday he came into the room while I was calling again. He asked why I didn't check another town - uh hello I didn't want to drive 1.5-2 hours to go to the next town. He said well just check and see, and if they have them we will make a little day trip out of it. Well they did! They held them for me, we went and I now have them!!! Isn't he just the bestest! Thanks sweetie!
Now some time for my Wii Fit, breakfast, then I am going to squeeze in some blog surfing before I start cleaning out a closet.. uuhggggg!
HUGS and hope you have some fun planned!

Fabulous card! Love the paper piecing and the way you arranged the flowers.

How sweet of your hubby to do that for you! They don't sell Martha Stewart punches here in the Netherlands and I love the them too!

Have fun with your Wii Fit and good luck cleaning out your closet later ;o)

What a thoughtful hubby, bless him. If it were mine, I would've had to have bought them, he'd pay and then he'd want to keep them to give me as an anniversary pressie Lol!!!
