This is Dorothy Anya.. isn't she and Toto adorable! And talk about instant gratification... you can be coloring in minutes after your purchase!
She and you doggie are colored with my Copics and of course her shoes are stickled with a bright red... there is no place like home... there is no place like home....Now I am not for sure but I think the original sketch was more for a long rectangle card... but well I just went with square and made it work. or not. But I did it anyway. I started with my pattern paper.. an old piece of Sassafras Lass Piccadilly paper, don't know why but it really reminded me of Oz... I cut my half circle from a scrap of the base card stock and drew in the "brick" for the yellow brick road - shaded with my copics and then darkened with a light brown ink. I matted the pattern paper with a light blue and then a bright orange, and sewed it all together and placed it on the base. I wasn't for sure what to use for a sentiment... then I just thought of "Follow you Dream" and this could be a great encouragement card... I used an old sheet of Cloud Nine Rub on Letters... man they were hard to use, drying out and cracked. But I kept going and got them down. I found three felt flowers in my stash and three striped brads. I think it is fun. I hope you like it - something different huh?
I hope you will check out the sketch challenge and give it a go.. if you don't have any Anya's or Ian's... think digital!
