Alota Cupcake Girl to the
Cupcake ... they just seemed to go together!
Then I was trying to figure out where to place the gems if I used them, well sparkle sprinkles of course!
They are both colored with my Copics, the frosting is Liquid Pearls Pastel Raspberry! The sprinkles are just basic gems from my stash.
For the card I used a pale yellow base, all of the pattern papers are from DCWV Nana's Kitchen, you can't see it in the photo but there is lots of glitter to these papers. I inked the edges and sewed them down. The top pattern is cut with a Fiskars Scallop Scissor before I put it down. I was going to stamp ... a plain happy birthday, then I found a scrap of a paper I used last week, K&Company Cut-n-Paste paper and it had just a bit of this old looking Birthday cake recipe... it just was sitting on the corner of the desk, and seemed perfect!
I am also going to put this in for Paper Craft Planet Alota Rubber stamps challenge that just started... A Color challenge of PINK - PURPLE - GREEN... you think I have enough of these colors.. a bit more yellow than should, but I think it is ok. The prize at this challenge this week is the "Michelle's Sweet Little Donkeys" set!!!! All you have to do is make a card with those three colors and an Alota Rubber Stamp to qualify, and you can enter as many times as you like!
Make sure to check out A Spoon Full of Sugar's Gem Challenge this week, the DT really sparkle this week! LOL! And there is a great prize there too!
I better get a move on, I am driving to the town I use to live in to have lunch with the ladies I use to work with. I can't believe it has been 7 years since then.. we try and get together regularly to keep up with each other... but life gets in the way so often regular doesn't always work and I don't get to drive over. So I am looking forward to it...
HUGS and have a happy St. Patrick's Day!
