Animal Crackers - Went to a Scrapbook Show and came home with a GOAT?

That is funny isn't it? LOL Well it is totally true, sort of. Hubby DID take me to the Scrapbook Convention yesterday. I'll show some of our goodies tomorrow ok? Yes.. "our".... Hubby actually got a couple of things too :0) Then we went for a nice BBQ lunch - so yummy. Then we decided to go home and get some things done around the house. On the drive home, which was about an hour or so we were talking about our plans for the future. Animal Wise that is..... Donkeys for sale, Moving Donkeys, future breedings when it cools off.... then we got to the goats. And we were talking that really we are stuck for breeding except for the three original goats. All our girls are "too close" to Frank to use him to breed. We needed a new line... I googled found a lady not far from us, and well......
This road home on my lap :0)  Isn't he handsome. Today is his birthday!! He is two months old today. We named him... back that up..... Hubby named him Peso. It is cute, I like it. He was really good coming home I was a bit nervous about riding home 30 minutes with a strange upset Goat in my lap, but he really was great.
We got home and let him go in the pen with all the girls, and "pet" Louie. And man was he strutting around. A bit nervous and freaked, but you could tell... he knew he was in a pen with lots of ladies.....
Peso then found that one side of the pen has his competition in it.... Frankie. Frankie didn't seemed to worried, I am sure he will be when he realizes he has one or two girls, and Peso has 8 or so.... so not fair but the way it is.

How we got from a Scrapbook show to having a goat in my lap... only we can do that. But well... we need to work on the goat herd. They are what is selling now... oh it rained near us. In town at our business it rained 1.5 inches yesterday. Here bone dry... not a drop. But maybe it will start up this week. Gotta think positive... PLEASE let it rain here this week!

Ok... This has got to be one of my all time favorite photos recently - What do you think? Two headed Donkeys?
Nope just Sonia and Ramon both insisting on Hugs from Dad. Man you can really see how much smaller Sonia is here.. told you she was a tiny thing. :0) You can see here too that Hubby really does love the babies.
Teddy Bear... formally Ted E. Bear. Found him enjoying the shade here. Tail swinging, enjoying the shade. He is so funny. He is one of our standard Donkeys that has the run of the entire property. Sometimes that is good... coyotes.. .wild dogs... hogs.... yep good Ted runs them all off or stomps them. But there is also a bit of destruction from  time to time... like the bite out of the hood of my truck. Dent in my tail gate cuz it smelled like hay. Broken flower pots cuz the potting soil is so much fun to play in. Broken Bird feeders, cuz he needs the seeds much more than the birds. Yep... Destruction. But he is just so darn cute and friendly we always forgive him. Oh and he has help with all of that from his other two partners in crime Cocoa and Valentine. But I watch... he is the instigator most of the time. LOL How can you get mad at that face though?

I'll try an photo the goodies from the show for Sunday... didn't get too much I was pretty good. Except for the goat that is.....

HUGS and have a great day!

A big welcome to Peso, he IS a handsome chap. Made me laugh to think of him sitting on your lap on the drive home. Goodness, Ramon & Sonia are gorgeous, that's a lovely photo of them with your OH. Looking forward to seeing what goodies you bought & hoping you get rain very soon.

Michelle when you say Ted E. Bear has the run of the propery does this mean there is no gate or fence to keep him within?
