Howdy - Today is the High Hopes Challenge, and this week it is a pretty easy one if you ask me. ;0) Some weeks I think that is really a good thing. This was one of those weeks.. LOL BUSY BUSY BUSY! And it was wonderful to sit down the other evening for a little while and have some fun and not stress. And Flowers is one of those things that I know we have a TON of and love to use.
I was just dying to color up the new two by two image - Skyla and Stretch, I totally fell in love with these two when I saw them.
I colored with my copics, sorry I thought I snapped the photo of the colors and it wasn't on my camera. I then found papers that had similar colors in them... giraffe colors are not easy to match you know. But I found the Basic Grey Lucille collection was perfect. I matted a few of the pattern papers on a piece of core'dinations blue/green coloring card stock, ran a piece of satin ribbon around and tied a bow.
My sentiment is a sizzix die from the card maker die set. I always forget I have these dies, then I run across them and get all excited and use them... then they get buried again and forgotten. Sad.. but I guess it is a little like finding them new each time.. LOL I added some Viva Decor Glitter pen to the white cut out Happy Birthday. Then I found three mulberry roses in the deep red/orange shades. Added some Martha Stewart branch punches and some more glitter pen.
Inside is mostly all scraps from the front.
I think I spent maybe an hour tops on the entire card - And it relaxed and made me feel so good to take the time to color. I told Hubby that I miss coloring every evening... he said then I should just do it. UH yea... lately I fall into bed after midnight still behind from what I needed to get done that day! But as long as I can have a little coloring time a couple two or three nights a week I think I may stay sane. Maybe.
Now you need to Click on over to the High Hopes challenge blog and see the other DT's flower in their projects. Then please do join us and have some fun for a chance to win more High Hopes!
Now I am out the door early today to get over to the storage unit of the Estate that I am working with. I am selling an estate for a lady. An estate that has been packed away for many years. Sorting it and cleaning it all is a BIG job. But it is really awesome stuff and I feel honored that she chose us to sell it all for her. I promise once I get more of it sorted and organized to show off some of the items. I have been in awe of what comes out of some of the boxes.
Hope you have a great Tuesday -
