My New Eye and Brand New Sarah Kay!!!

But first I have to report... I have two eyes again!! Now only one works.. but I look normal! It blows me away the talent this woman has, really my eye looks real. Hubby said he doesn't think anyone could ever tell which one isn't real unless they knew to look directly at it. I will work on getting a photo to show off in the near future, but today - uh no.. My eyelids are all red and swollen from taking it in and out, and me learning to take it in and out by myself, so I don't have to call her in the middle of the night someday - LOL  I don't plan on taking it out that often -no I will not be one of those party trick people. I will be going back in three weeks to have the color tweaked it may be a shade lighter than my real eye, and to make sure the angle is correct. I told you this woman is a perfectionist, she even took flash photos to make sure that the flash shows in the same position as my real eye. Would not have even thought to worry about that! So when the swelling is down I'll have Hubby shoot a photo to show off the new me -

Now to the new Sarah Kays!

We all love Sarah Kay - especially me :0) And when I saw the new ones I just fell in love with each of them, but Jacqueline baking sweet treats, oh my she was the first one I inked up and had to color up! (You can see all of the new Sarah Kays HERE)

Love a girl making up some ...hhhmmmm I think Chocolate brownies! LOL

I knew exactly what paper I had to use, I found his cute piece of baking themed paper on a clearance rack - no name on it, but just loved it and was saving it for something special - nothing more special than new Sarah Kays!  I sewed it down with a striped scrap and blue Bazzil Swiss Dots paper. I made a lace doily border with a EK Success punch, and a pink dot ribbon.

I colored with my Copics, and all though it is hard to tell in the photo I highlighted a lot of this image with Spica Glitter pens - this baby sparkles in the light!
Hope you like Jacqueline - I know you are loving her and all the new Sarah Kays - me... I am thinking I need to go and see if I have everything to make some brownies :0)

HUGS and have a wonderful Sunday!

MichJay Challenge #3 - Papertrey's Ready, Set Wrap!

Hello and Happy Monday... today is the 20th, and on the 20th of every month is the MICHJAY Challenge!! A reminder what the MichJay Challenge is "a personal challenge between me and my Buddie JayJay (http://www.stempelelfejayjay.blogspot.com/), we were chatting at how wonderful it is so many can do the wonderful 3-D items so easily - and after a while decided that we just needed to step out of the box of cards and challenge each other. So once a month we will hold the MichJay Challenge!"

This is challenge number 3... and I am very excited about this one. I so loved this template - fellow Stampavie DT Lauren Meader designs templates for Papertrey Ink.. "My Timeless Templates" and the one we chose to purchase and use for our MichJay Challenge is "Ready, Set and Wrap" ... really cute, and I was amazed at how easy it was to use the template and put together.

Cute or what???? I found this gorgeous paper in my stash from Graphic 45 Playtimes past collection, this is two sided paper that is just luxurious. Being two sided is a must when you are planning to see the inside of the item, and I just love the contrast between these two patterns.

Now I planned to use one of the new Stampavie Sarah Kay images for my art on the front of the little box. This is "A lollipop for Suzan" - cut with my oval Nesties. Then matted with a red larger oval. I found these cute little flower in my box of flowers, and they just seemed perfect to match. I then punched one Martha Stewart frond leaf punch and cut it apart and used each individual leaf for the tiny little flowers.

Here you can see the box opened up the two pieces are attached in the center... and yes it is perfect for sending that perfect little gift to a friend.. like a new Sarah Kay stamp!!

I inked the edges of my template to give it shadows. So what do you think? I am so excited to see what JayJay made!!! he he we don't go and look at each others item until we have posted our own... So lets go.... and see hers.... HERE

Oh and if you want to join our little challenge please do!!! With today's challenge you will need to purchase the template from Papertrey.. but they are only $5.00 and I am sure you will use it over and over!! And then please leave a comment so we can come and look at what you made. I am so happy we are doing this - I am not nearly as nervous to jump out of my Card box and give 3-d items a try and that was the whole point!

Hope you have a wonderful day... Now I am running over to Jay Jay and see if she has posted hers...

Sarah Kay goes to the Zoo!

I have to admit, I really had some fun with this one. My plans were actually much bigger, but I think I will save that idea for later ;0)

So this weeks challenge at the Sarah Kay Challenge Blog is to use Animals with Sarah. There are so many wonderful images that already have animals in them, so really the challenge is wide open! But I wanted to bring in an animal to mine, well while doing the isles at the new Super Joann's that opened in town, I found the cutest things on the ribbon isle. Offray has these adorable pre-made animal heads! There were Lions, Tigers and Bears... OH MY! (ok... I just had to do that) Seriously there were quite of few different animals and I fell in love with this Giraffe! But how could I incorporate him into my card? Well Sarah either had to go on Safari or to the Zoo right? And since it was only the neck and head the Zoo was the best choice, plus the safari would have been pricey... LOL.

So here is how it all came about. I started out by stamping my Sarah Kay image and coloring her with my Copics and cut her out with my Fiskars fingertip craft knife. I then stamped the Magnolia Brick wall stamp and colored it with Copics as well, then cut it out. I cut a piece of the cloud pattern paper from Cosmo Cricket and pulled lots of my Catseye inks and my Rubbernecker Kitty Kit Cause for a scene stamps, these are fabulous little nature items to build a background... I adore these! I worked them, and created the tree and the ground in lots of colors.

My giraffe head is attached with glue dots, then the wall with pop dots. Sarah Kay is then attached 1/2 with pop dots and 1/2 with adhesive so she looks as if she is standing on the corner of the wall. I added a few tiny Prima flowers to the grass, and then needed a sign for the Zoo... otherwise we wouldn't know why there was a giraffe with his head over the wall. I found a Martha Stewart journal tag, I thought the cut outs around the edge looked a little like fancy iron scrolls, I hand wrote the word Zoo and the arrow. eeekkk. I so wish I had something that would have looked better for that! I think this is a fun card... and can't wait to show off more of the giraffes friends!

Make sure to see how the other DT have animals in their cards! Too fun!!!

It is Sunday... breakfast with the gang, some outside chores and then Hubby's family is coming out for dinner later. We are grilling....mmmmmm love the smell of steaks on the grill this time of year! Hope you have a great day too!

Sweets with Sarah Kay -

Good Sunday - Oh my loving the sweet theme of this weeks challenge for Sarah Kay Challenge Blog Inspiration from "sweets, candies and treats" and how these things inspired your project is up to you, it could be chocolate so you could make a chocolate coloured card, a treat bag filled with chocolate a wallet with chocolate bars inside or something else! Of course you don't need to choose chocolate as your theme, you could be inspired by cakes, cookies, candies or some sugary themed patterned paper.

I normally would have gone right to the chocolate theme and done something with that. But I had no chocolate here at the house and if I went out and purchased some "just for the challenge" Well I would have ate it all, as hubby isn't a huge chocolate person. Well I decided I needed to work with what I had here and this is what I came up with.

This is a recipe from a Christmas Cookie Magazine from last year, and this recipe is one that everyone loved. It is simple and not to "much". If you know what I mean. And it is a cookie recipe that I usually have everything in the cabinet and is easy to make.

Amish Sugar Cookies.. mmm yummy. I pulled out one of my clear paint pails, and decorated the inside of it with a piece of My Minds Eye "Tres Jolie" pattern paper, the red is the back side of the pattern... love that! I cut a circle out of it with my Nestibilites and then a scallop from the solid side to go around the circle hole. Now not that I planned it - LOL - but the circle I cut out fit the top perfectly... so I attached it to the lid then stacked three Basic Grey flowers and a vintage button. Tied some matching gingham ribbon to the handles for fun. I typed out the recipe, and then matted with the solid, it took to 4x6 cards to fit everything so I matted the second as well then attached them together with adhesive. I inked the edges of everything and then white gel pen stitched the edges. I colored one of the sneak peak Sarah Kay images... (is it adorable or what!!!) anyway I colored it with my Copics and white gel pen, then cut it out and placed it on the front of my recipe card.

Isn't this a cute gift? Oh I did make up some of the cookies for the "photo shoot"... Hubby was standing by waiting for the ok to grab some...

OH and BTW.. if you want the recipe, just click on the photos they will enlarge for you to be able to read them.

So unless you are totally dieting and can't take the risk of more sweets... he he ... run on over to the Sarah Kay Challenge Blog and see the other DT creations... just yummy!

I had a blast at the Rubberstamp and Scrapbooking Expo... Tracey and I laughed all day, and got lots of fun goodies. Need to do it more Tracey! (well without dropping so much $)

Some of what I got:

12 sheets of EZMount foam (hey 3.25 a sheet is great!)

Glazes - can't wait to try these different from anything I have seen before.

Oil Pastels

2 more distressing inks (colors I haven't been able to find)

Felt Buttons and flowers

Some pretty Blings and ribbons

A few of the new Sizzix dies... boy they have really come a long way! CUTE!

a few Rubbernecker stamps and a couple of others brands

some 12x12 papers, and a paper pad as a gift for my sister

and a few other things that right now I can't remember.

Well busy busy busy today! I am running out the door now for breakfast with the gang, swing back by the house and pick up my "stuff" for a class I am teaching today, then hurry back home for family that is coming out. Whew! I am already tired! Hope you have a calm restful Sunday planned with lots of stamping fun!

Doodles and Sarah Kay!

Sarah Kay Christmas Stamps soooo beautiful, I love all the details in them. This is a really a cute one called " Christmas Magic" Look at all the patterns on the presents, and that little tree with the star even. But I love that so many of the Sarah Kay images have animals in them! Are those two doggies precious or what.

Well this image today is on my Sarah Kay Challenge card. Sunday so a new challenge is posted, and this week is as fun and as detailed as you want to make it. Doodles, yep doodling in any way on your card. Whether you want just draw stitches, doodled edges, or a complete card full of doodles. Just please make sure to include one Sarah Kay image with all of those fun scribbles.

I started by coloring my image with my Copics, Spica Glitter pens, Sakura Glaze Pens and then white gel pen. I doodled the edges of the image with a Copic Multi-liner in a light grey color. I then used puffy fabric paint to create the snow.

I used a dark blue card stock for the base, I wanted to make sure that the white gel pen that I planned to doodle with would show, I found a piece of pattern paper that had snow flakes on it and then a dark red card stock to mat. The image I decided needed to have a stack of mats, so I used light blue, white and then the red. I found a layout I liked and then doodled and gel pen stitched around most everything.

For some added detail, I used silver jewelry pieced that reminded me of snow flakes and placed them around on the pattern paper where ever there was a snow flake center. Aren't they cool. Love them, I just stuck them down with tiny glue dots.

I am really into these darker cards right now. For a while everything I did was pink/brown or purple/green now I guess it is these winter stamps I have been into the dark blue and white.

Make sure to visit the Sarah Kay Challenge Blog and see the other DT's Doodling! And to see all of the Sarah Kay Images, including the Christmas Collection and the sneak peak of the new images coming visit the Stampavie DT Blog!

Off to my Sunday Breakfast... hope you all have a wonderful Sunday and get inky!

Sarah Kay Sneak Peak!!! and yes it is Donkey Day!

Oh my I have just been busting at the seams to share the new Sarah Kay images! I have been good and not showed them to anyone.... But now I have the ok to share!!!

This is my first card with one of the new images, this is the card I talked about last Sunday, you might recognize the Sarah Kay Challenge Blog sketch. This is called "Puppy Love", isn't it just adorable! Heck I love all of the new images! If you want a sneak peak of all of them visit them HERE at the Stampavie DT Blog... they are showing them off with a slide show!

Quickly let me run some of the details of the card so we can move on to the Saturday Business -

I colored her with Copics, and then doodled the edges with light grey Copic Multiliner. I used a cream colored card stock for the base and then the Martha Stewart Doily Lace Border for the opening edge. Placing a country blue behind it to show it off. I matted the K&Company pattern paper with Country Blue and Rose Pink Card stock and did the same for the image. Two ribbons are stacked to make for band across the middle, and a Little Davis Designs Key hole is used for some fun. A Prima flower with a vintage button on the bottom corner with a 7gypsies key sewed to them, I thought the key thing matched well with the image.

It isn't too late to join in on this weeks Sarah Kay challenge, it is a great sketch! New challenge will begin tomorrow morning.

And remember to see all of the new images check them out on the Stampavie DT Blog! I am sure you will begin to see lots of sneaks in the next few weeks! And you may recognize a few of the images as those long gone wanted images! YEA!!!! And until these are available look for the new Sarah Kay Christmas collection, they are available now!

Ok, here are some photos from this morning. Sorry they aren't great as the sun wasn't up yet.
First is three of the girls... look how cute they are coming up the path to greet us, I love how Gloria always trots with her ears back.
Then I found Valentine, getting a drink of fresh water. Hubby washes all of the buckets each morning, and then fills them with clean water. Spoils them, but I wouldn't want yucky water either.

Next pen was Patti... Grass is always greener on the other side of the fence. ;0)

Lola was really wanting some attention. PLEASE come pet me! I stopped photographing and did just that of course -
And then there is the Gloria, she is always interested in everything around her, nosey... wants to make sure she isn't missing out on something better. But she is adorable! Look how much she has "sun bleached" she looks red, but no she is black under there.

Hope you enjoyed - I have two classes I am teaching this morning so I need to go and get my stuff together. Have a GREAT Saturday and take time to get inky!

How exciting are the New Christmas Sarah Kays!

Oh my I love my Sarah Kays! And now there are some new ones!! The Christmas collection will soon be hitting the shelves and this is my first card with the new images. To see all of the new collection just visit Stampavie and while you are there click on the DT Blog, there are some really amazing works there, from all over the world! Oh just you wait there are all kinds of new images coming to Stampavie!

Ok now to my card, this week at the Sarah Kay Challenge there is a great sketch. I love this sketch, this is actually my second card this week with it! He He.. my first card - Oh I was so happy with it, wish I could show it.... but ooops I used a Sarah that isn't quite ready for "viewing". Just you wait... if you love Sarah's your are gonna be over the moon with what is coming! So I put that card aside and will show it when I get a green light. Then I made a second card with the new Christmas Collection. This is "The Joy of Giving", isn't she wonderful! You know what I like the best about her.... she can be used for more than Christmas, I am thinking she would make great Birthday Cards too!

I colored her with my Copics to match the Basic Grey Figgy Pudding paper, that I thought was perfect with all the presents. I matted with the red Basic Grey papers. Now I decided that I wanted the actual card stock to be the scallops on the right side. So I folded my card then punched it with the Martha Stewart Doily Lace Punch, then to make the "lace" show more I layered a piece of the red paper behind it. I used a Satin ribbon for the center band across the middle. Now we know it needed some bling right? Well I found a package of Heidi Swapp Bling Ruby frames, I cut them a part and made borders on the ribbon, and corners on the image. Then for just a bit more detail I gel pen stitched the borders of everything. I think it is a fun card, I can't wait to color in the other new images!

Don't forget to check out the other DT's work at the Sarah Kay Challenge Blog, these other girls really rock!

Also want to spread the word, my fellow DT, JayJay, from Sarah Kay Challenge and Stampavie has some really wonderful blog candy up! Rachelle Anne Miller stamps!!! Check it out! Her blog is StempelelfeJayJay .

And LIM my Spoon Full of Sugar DT buddie has some candy that makes me drool! Make sure to check out her blog The Voices in my Head and check it out too!

Ok, I am going to run... I am in a bit of panic mode. You see right now I have to go my Sunday local breakfast bunch, won't be there long as I have to get home and bake. Yes I am a bad girl. I didn't get the carrot cake made yesterday so I have to get it made... cooled and iced, decorate this fly boat cake thing, wrap my nephews present and be on the road by 1:40pm... to get to the birthday party on time. Yes.... panic mode! Hope you all have a great Sunday, and get inky!

Pretty in BLUE?

This week the challenge at Sarah Kay Challenge is to use Blue as the main color in your card. Great challenge, because it leaves it soooo open to what ever you want to do just use blue! Any shade of blue!

I used a dark blue card stock as the base of my card, and then chose a K&Company paper as the pattern paper. And it was a scrap so bonus points for me personally! I decided I wanted to use one of the Sarah Kays that I could color in lots of denim... so I chose "A kiss for Chloé" love those over-alls! I colored them with my Copics and then inked the edges with a dark blue ink, matted with the same card stock as the base.

How how about those flowers, lovin' my new EK Success Retro Flower Punches. I have been admiring them for so long on other blogs, and when punches were on sale last time.. I got two sizes! I punched three, one large and two small out of the blue card stock. Then I placed them upside down on a mouse pad and with a bone folder I rounded the petals out, it really gave some shape to them! I then punched a small flower out of what was left from the pattern paper, it is the pattern on the other side of the dotted paper, and used buttons for the centers. My flourishes, die cuts from Quickutz, are also K&Company scraps and has a vintage script pattern on it and looks kind of cool cut into the flourishes and also the sentiment that is a Cuttlebug die cut.

I gel pen stitched down the edges of the card stock and the image.. then for some fun I stitched around the petals of the flowers... love how that came out!

Ok, now for more blue inspiration.. run over and see the other DT cards at Sarah Kay Challenge Blog! and to see all of the Sarah Kay images including the BRAND NEW Christmas images that very soon will be available... go over to STAMPAVIE and take a look, the new ones are so cute and I can't wait to get them!

I'm off... it is Sunday, so Breakfast at the local cafe with the locals! Hope you have a great day, with family and friends and time to get inky!

Sarah Kay in a CD!

This week just flew by! Man where did it go? Here it is Sunday again and time for the Sarah Kay Challenge Blog, and this week it is a great challenge - to use a CD case in your work. Definitely made me think.

Well I finally decided to combine my CD with and accordion folder. I have been wanting to try making one of these and this seemed like a great time. So here is my Accordion CD image holder!

I started out by coloring my Sarah Kay image with my Copics and Sakura Glaze Pens. I cut her out with a border around the edge.

Now I didn't want to add much bulk inside so I made the accordion folds for the sides and attached them to a card stock back and pattern paper front. (this is a Heidi Grace Shimmer paper) I cut this down a million times to get it to fit perfectly into the CD... I was so nervous I would cut it too much and I had way too much time on the folds to ruin it. Once it fit just right, I added the ribbon, the image, the flower/leaf to the front and then on the inside I attached two pieces of the pattern paper to cover the attachment of the folded sides.

I wanted this to stay "slick" on the front. Nothing that would come off. That way you could carry it in a purse or mail with no worries. But I did have one slight problem... that nasty open area down the side. I really need to order some that don't have that, but this was all I had. So I attached a ribbon down that side just to cover the hole. I think it is a "neat" way to ship RAK images what do you think?

Run on over and see what all the other DT's came up with this challenge.... wow really creative! Then give it a try yourself!

A heads up... I am thinking I am over due for some blog candy. I think I actually promised at 10,000 to do it again at 20,000 - oops missed that. So I am currently putting together some goodies and should post it in a day or so. Keep an eye out!

Sunday - so better get my act together to meet the gang at the local cafe for breakfast. This is a tradition we have had for years - Sunday morning breakfast with friends. I had someone ask me about the cafe we go to each week. It really is an old fashion small town cafe. Gas pumps outside, red and white plastic table cloths on the tables. Large griddle cook top right out where you can watch the sweet ladies make your meal. Breakfast is plain and simple but always tasty. Their other menu items range from hamburgers to chicken fried steaks, meat loaf to fried chicken. A few Mexican foods (it is Texas you know!) and on Wednesday and Fridays all you can eat catfish! Gotta love it! Plus it is the best place to catch up on all the local "news" - not gossip these old farmers would never do that! Well better run or I might miss something shocking! ;0)

Hope you have a crafty day planned and HUGS!

Sunday Sarah Kay - 3 Pattern Papers

Sarah Kay Challenge Blog this week has a real challenge this week. To use 3 pattern papers on a card. Ok... so it isn't walking thru hot coals or anything, but can be difficult if you don't pick the right papers.

I first decided which Sarah Kay image to use, I picked "My sweet Lili"and colored her with my copics... all except her night gown. That is where my first piece of pattern paper is! I stamped her on the pattern paper and then cut out her night gown and attached it to the image.

I matted her on a piece of tan card stock. I cut down the two other pattern papers (all are from K&Company)and matted them on the same paper. I decided that I wanted this card to have a vintage look. So I blanket stitched around all three pieces. and inked the edges. My card is a base from American Crafts and is a pretty dark brown. I used two short pieces of Doodlebug velvet flower ribbon, chipboard corners from Little Davis Designs that I inked, Heidi Swapp Chipboard clock face and a tile heart to embellish. Hubby liked this one, he tends to like the more vintage looking cards.

Make sure to check out the other DT cards at the Sarah Kay Challenge, they are all so gorgeous!

Ok... need to pass on some info:

First make sure to check out Nikki's Blog Candy! She is celebrating hitting 20,000 hits with some fabulous High Hopes goodies and paper! So check it out... but hurry cuz it ends Wed. the 17th!

Then take a spin over to Karin's Blog Candy. She has reached 10,000 and it giving away goodies to celebrate too. Some really cool stuff too! Her candy give away is the 19th so hurry there too!

And then also I wanted to share that my buddy Amy, that owns my local Scrapbook Store, The Scrapbook Corral has opened up an online store! She is still loading it up, but there are Sarah Kay stamps, some Penny Black, Fiskars, American Crafts cards and papers and tons of Thickers loaded as of today. Make sure and check it out and watch it, I know what she is planning on adding ;0)

Better get going... Sunday Breakfast with the locals! Have a great Sunday and hope you get to get inky!

Out for a Bike Ride!

Ha not me... don't even own a bike, but I love Rosalie's bicycle. I think it is wonderful with her two baskets!

This card is for this weeks Sarah Kay Challenge Blog. A wonderful sketch this week. I do hope you get a chance to play with us at the site.

For my card I colored Rosalie and her bike with my Copics and white gel pen in colors to match paper from K&Company. And I had to color her puppy as a border collie... oh how I wish my baby Bonnie was still a puppy!

I matted her with the gorgeous teal blue/green Bazzil card stock and inked the edges to give a distressed feel. For my scallops to follow the sketch I wanted the larger scallops so I used my Fiskar's medium Circle squeeze punch and punched six circles. I drew a line on the back of my plaid band 1/2 the size of the circles and then attached the circles in a straight line across the top and bottom. The line really helps to make sure that the scallops are even across the edge and look like one piece of paper.

I inked them and the base and large pattern paper as well. I then found the exact same shade of thread in my box and sewed down everything. For just a bit of bling I added the four dew drops to the whole scallops. I did not use a sentiment, that way I can use it for anything later.

Do take the time to go and visit the Sarah Kay Challenge Blog, the DT work is so pretty this week! Love these ladies work!

Off to Sunday Breakfast with the local gang... then to my Sunday chores! Hope you have a wonderful day, enjoy some outside time, and then inside time crafting!

Sarah Kay Purple and Green YEA!

Sunday again.. and Sarah Kay Challenge today is to use the color combo of Purple and Green. LOVE LOVE LOVE this combo. I am also using the challenge to make my MIL's birthday card. She really likes the Sarah Kay images and I picked one of my favorites.. he he favorite top 9 right? This is "Rose's Garden" and I think it is her hair up and the kitten that I just love. I colored her with my Copics, Spica Glitter Pens, white gel pen and my new Copic Multi-liners, copic ink in a tiny fine point marker. Helps with things like the trim on her blouse.

I used papers from Making Memories, and then a lilac card stock for the base and a sage green card stock for the mats. I inked the edges of everything with dark purple ink. Stitched the edges of the mats with white gel pen. The Happy Birthday sentiment is from Alota Rubber Stamps. Now how about that stack of flowers! The largest is from Bazzil, two center ones are primas, and the smaller one and the brad is from Creative Imaginations. The leaves are Prima as well.

Now as a little extra the DT of Sarah Kay Weekly Challenge was asked to make an item to match our card. I just happen to have this wonderful clear pail sitting on my desk, and thought it would be perfect to decorate to put MIL's gift into. (Candy and a pair of earrings, lucky it was a small gift this year!) I used all the same items as the card. I put the striped paper inside the pail so it would have the clear over it, then used my Oval Nestibilities to cut out the image. Now I don't know why but I don't have a scallop Nestibilities large enough for the biggest oval... hmmmm so I made my own scallops by punching small hearts with my Fiskar's Heart Squeeze punch and then attaching them to the back of the oval with just the "humps" sticking out the edge. I used a satin ribbon around the top edge and a felt flower from Creative Imaginations. Same large flower on the top.

Oh by the way .... she loved it, her birthday was Friday so I already gave it to her. =)

Off to Sunday morning breakfast with the local gang at the cafe, then we are hoping to work outside some! Hope you have a wonderful Sunday -

Friends to the End

It is Sarah Kay Challenge Sunday! And today there is a fun sketch to do.

For my card I decided to use my Amy Butler K and Co. papers. I love these papers but they are so bold I have a hard time using them. But I went for it and just put them together, even though I wasn't sure about it. I like how they came out. Different for me, but I like it. I used a dark green shade of card stock to match the centers of the flowers on the dark bold paper. then a shade darker than the blue paper for the mats. And followed the sketch with the placement.

I decided to use "My sweet Lili" this week, love that teddy bear, I colored with my Copics and white gel pen. I then doodled the edge of the image with black, and with my white gel pen I stitched down all the pieced. I thought the right top corner of the image needed something more so I found some bling in the same shade of blue and made a corner out of them. The sentiment is from Papertrey Ink, and is cut with my oval Nestiblities. A bolder card, but I like the colors even if they did scare me at first.

Make sure and go and check out the other DT cards at the Sarah Kay challenge today, they are all so pretty again this week.

And for more Sarah Kay or Rachelle Ann Miller inspiration you could take a look at the Stampavie DT Blog. Lots of wonderful inspiration plus you can get news about Sarah Kay image, Rachelle Anne Millers wonderful images and soon Leere Aldrich stamps.

Sorry it is short today, we are running out for Sunday Morning breakfast at the local country cafe here. Hope you have a great day and take time to craft!
