Cute as a Button!

Camilla is the best Buddie! We did a swap, a great swap! She helped me get the new Hanglars and I helped her get some tools and gadgets that are only here in the USA. I think we were both very pleased with the trade. I am so happy! Last night I stamped out all the new Hanglar kids.... they are just so cute! Do they have names? You know like Magnolia's are Tildas and Edwins? Hmmm need to find that out so I know what to call her. I think the girl on the bike is the cutest, the little guy is just as cute, but those pig tails just sent me over and I knew she had to be used! I colored her with the Copics and high lighted with white gel pen. I love the basket... I had a green/yellow and pink plastic basket on the front of my first bike. Loved that thing! This just needs the bright pink tassels from the handle bars!

Now the challenge at this weeks Cute Card Thursday is "Buttons and Bows" how fun is that, and cute too! I went through my pattern papers and couldn't find anything that I was happy with. Then I saw these large dots, I saw them and saw buttons. hmmm now for the bow... I pulled out the Fiskars "threading water" border punch and then wove dark purple ribbon through and tied a simple bow just off center. I dug and dug until I found the perfect buttons to scatter on the card, and attached with glue dots. Matted my girl on the same purple as the card base, and then realized I needed a sentiment. Looked at every sentiment stamp I own... it took a while... and nothing seemed right, Friends forever, Sending my love, and on on. I then remembered this twill ribbon with the sentiment printed on it that was perfect. "Cute as a Button". Which I think she is! I wrapped it around the bottom corner and then attached her to the card with foam pop dots.

It is simple, but cute. And I love my new Hanglars.... Did I tell you that?
I cannot believe that it is Friday, this week flew by! It is the weekend already and I didn't get my weekly chores done like I had planned. Lots of those little things popped up. Maybe today...
Off to check a few blogs - I hope you have a fun weekend in the plans! Have some fun and get inky!
