It's a Pink Day!

What a great challenge this week at A Spoon Full of Sugar! Ok, so it isn't a hard challenge at all, I love using Pink and Green together. I knew I was dying to used this image. Nikki, my fellow Spoon DT and a great friend, sent me some Hanglar images, this is one I just love!!!! Oh I would love to find this actual stamp, as I think it might be my favorite Hanglar. Isn't she just adorable. It may be because one of my many "collections" is laundry stuff.... any how I just adore it! I colored it with my Copics, and white Gel pen all the way to the edges of the paper.

I matted with a bright green card stock as close to the same color as the American Crafts card base that I chose to use. The pattern paper is DCWV loved how the bright pink and green pops together. For some fun I used a Quickutz flourish die and made two flourishes that I dabbed with a light pink ink, then stickled. Really looks neat in person, darn camera, you can't see that! How fun is the "Let's Do" stamp? It is from Inkadinkado, that I stamped with green ink. And then checked in a few with a pink gel pen. I thought it looked lop sided, it needed more on the left, so I cut two Quickutz strap dies with the green card stock and then found two pink buttons. The die comes with a button die, but this time I wanted the real thing. I gel pen stitched down the edges of everything to finish it off. I am so happy with how this one came out!

Make sure to check out all the pretty Pink and Green cards at the Spoon Full of Sugar Challenge! They are soooo pretty!

Now a second card for today!!! And it is pink too! Yesterday I read on Sue's Blog "Slumber Cards", that she is having a Think Pink Challenge for Breast Cancer Awareness and a 30,000 hits celebration Candy all in one. All she ask is that you make a card in pink and then send it to a friend that could use some tender loving care. Well I have a friend that I just want to send a "hug" too so this is perfect. For the layout I decided to give the Sketch Saturday Challenge Blog a try this week. Loved the sketch, and it was perfect for the image! The image was sent to me by Annie, one of the sweetest Blogging Buddies a person could have! If you haven't seen her blog, "Ink 'n' Rubba", you need to check it out she is awesome, and really is the sweetest! I think this is a Cuddly Buddly image, tell me if it isn't Annie... Isn't she adorable? I colored her with my Copics and gel pens. I found a My Minds Eye pink pattern paper, that had a wonderful shade of solid pink on the back, I chose a cream yellow for the card stock base and then followed the sketch. I double matted the image and doodled and stitched down the edges. The flowers and leaves are Creative Imaginations felt flowers with yellow brads, the sentiment is from Hero Arts and is punched out with a SU window punch. The ribbon is from Micheals. I like this one, sweet and simple.

Wow I just realized with out my Internet friends I wouldn't have had any images today! I love my Internet Buddies, Best Friends across the world!

Well better get going. I want to get a couple loads of laundry done before the workers down the road come and say the water is being turned off! They are replacing a pipe down our private dirt road, they just better get it done in one day, is all I have to say!

Run on over to Camilla's Blog... she has LOTS of Whiff of Joy to share! Yep stamps up for grabs in her blog candy! Go and take a look!

Oh and thank you all so much for the well wishes, I think I am better today. Hope you all have a great Tuesday, and have some time to get inky! (And don't forget tomorrow is my Blog Candy Donkey Give Away!)
HUGS and-
