Today I am showing off some of my older Papertrey Ink Stamps for my Dust It Off Sunday post. And while doing so I decided to play in their Make It Monday Challenge that they have on their blog. This last week it was to use the Cracked Glass Technique. I love this, and it has been forever since I have done any of this.. heck forever since I used my UTEE!
This card was really fun to put together. Again not my normal thing... but that I think is why I had so much fun doing it! I started out by stamping the blocks for my quilt from Quilt Sampler Set. And I guess the thread, scissors and the sentiment are from that set too..LOL I then colored the with my Copics and worked the Cracked Glass Technique over the quilt, and inked over the cracks with Distressed inks. I then cut out the thread and scissors and matted them. For the back ground paper - I went with kraft paper and one of the flowers from the Year of Flowers set - and the Vintage Cream ink - love the look of the soft flowers as the background.
Maybe you can see them better here? The sentiment is stamped directly onto the kraft paper. A Papertrey Ink Satin ribbon is tied around the middle.
So what do you think?
Well - Hope you have a wonderful Sunday - have anything fun planned? I am not sure what is on our list today. Maybe one of those play it by ear days -

Great card. I like how you positioned your scissors and thread together. I will have to try that.
