How cute is this new stamp from Alota Rubber Stamps? I fell in love with this little one as soon as I saw it! It is actually called "Super Baby" and is part of a new line at Alota Rubber stamps called "Little Kids" - they are all just adorable.
For my card I used this week Friday's Sketchers Challenge. Now the sketch is for a square card, and yes that is what I normally do, but my local scrapbook store The Scrapbook Corral just got in a bunch of American Crafts 5x7 card bases with envelopes. So I just had to pick a few of them in to give them a try. Was kind of nice to just grab the card and go and not spend forever going thru card stock to match colors. Too many choices and I take forever to decide.
So I started out with the pretty light blue base and then found two pattern papers that went
I sewed the background paper with a zig zag stitch, the gel pen stitched around the circles. Found a dotted red ribbon for the vertical bands, and Prima flowers for the embellishments. I used some of my last iron-on pearls for the centers. You can find these in the section of you craft store where they put the items to decorate denim. I will going back to see if I can find more of them real soon!
I think this card turned out just too fun! Make sure to go and check out the other new stamps from this Little Kid collection, and love them all!
Rosie update: She is 99% herself again... seems the meds did their job! This morning they are all out there covered in mud, we got a tiny bit of rain during the night, just enough to make the dirt moist. It must have felt good, and cooled them off, cuz they all seemed to roll around and enjoy it.
Hope you have a great Monday and take time to stamp something!
