While out the other day I found a Making Memories Pad with the prettiest shades of purple and greens. I had to have it! I then went thru and found a great image to color. (Thanks to my wonderful friend that spoiled me!)
This is my first time using Papilio Images... oh they are so cute and fun to color! Of course I colored them in shades of purple and green with my Copics, Sakura Glaze pens and white gel pens. All of the greens and purples are from the pad of papers, I cut and inked them following this Katharina's sketch for Papertake Weekly. I just love her sketches, and this one I will be adding to my collection to do again! The sentiment is from Rubberstamp Tapestry. I used a Doodlebug Purple ribbon for the vertical band, and the felt flower, leaves and glittered brad are all from Creative Impressions. I love these colors!
My second card is for one of my best friends Daughters wedding. Hope she isn't peeking here! Jen is getting married on Saturday. I can't believe it! I was so excited when I saw Alota Rubberstamp came out with this adorable wedding couple called "Mr. and Mrs. Wedding Couple".
The bridal couples colors are bright and fun so I knew I was safe by making the card bright as well. I colored this couple with my Copics and white gel pen. Cut with my Nestibilities Oval, and doodled the edges.
I wanted something different so I used my Scor-Pal and made the card as a gate fold opening. I double matted the Sassafrass Lass heart paper with hot pink card stock and white card stock and placed on each side. For behind the couple I cut a piece of hot pink and white card stock and wrapped two pieces of this lattice ribbon around the pink attaching only to the left side of the card.
I then cut two pieces for the inside of the card and stamped with a Studio G "Congratulations!" stamp. I love how it came out, and hope the happy couple like it too! I still can't believe she is getting married... I guess between the birthday last week and this I need to realize that I am getting older huh? =)
It is Wednesday already, and it looks like the sun is going to come out today. We have gotten just over 5 inches of rain the past three days - so needed! But I did enjoy seeing it bright this morning and the donkeys enjoying the cooler morning. Hope you have a great day -
