Wading For You....

Hopefully with Hurricane Gustav coming into the Gulf that will not become a reality! Man Hurricanes this year really are coming in strong. We won't flood here, we could get wind and lots of rain, but I worry about the coastline. Watching Gustav closely... until then I here is my card for Cute Card Thursday!

This weeks challenge is "In the Water" I have so many stamps that qualified, but in honor of the the prize donated by Alota Rubber Stamps, "Lady in Water" and "Man Wading in Water", I made my card with the same stamps. I LOVE these images, I love that they aren't perfect. I colored them both with my Copic markers. Now I took some creative licence here... I made the guy have a what we call around here a "FARMER TAN". I love it! Ha!

I cut them both with the Nestibilities circles and then scallop circles with the orange of the card base. Now I just love DCWV Nanna's Nursery papers, especially the ones with the glitter or shimmer to them. Two patterns are used here, but you can barely see one of them. Actually I worked real hard to make 4 squares then stitched around them all... ooops circles covered that. =) I punched ribbon holes in the sides of the circles and ran ribbon thru them and attached, couldn't believe that my ribbon matched so well. Added two buttons and then the sentiment.

Well Hubby is home... that means my day is revolving around his. He says we are mowing today - we really need to get it done before it starts raining again. But the Mosquitoes are so bad and they really love my sweet blood... I hate to go out and feed them all day. We will see how much outside time I do today. I hope you have something fun planned for today and don't have to go out and mow! =)

The farmer tan is just the cutest and so true...I love the way you added the ribbon...had to read it twice to figure it out...so much more finished than what I would have done, which is glue it down!...that's why I follow your blog and read each entry...like a free daily tutorial.

Gorgeous card Michelle. I love the colours and the tan made me laugh. We call it a "squaddie tan". Most of the army get it, including DH.
