Whimsy Stamps - Garden Chair

Howdy -

Lovin' the new images at Whimsy Stamps! The new DoveArt images are so so so... country! And you do know I love that! This week I colored "Garden Chair"

Just yummy right? And I had so much fun playing with the new Whimsy Background stamp Farmhouse Shiplap... swoooooning over this one!  And then I decided to stamp it on a piece of core'dinations card stock and do some sanding... OH MY! How fabulous does that look? Just like reclaimed wood! This was the dark grey card stock and when I sanded the light grey background showed through fabulously. I colored the Garden Chair with my Copics (colors below) a light pink card stock for my card base and then a pink and white gingham ribbon is just so country! For my sentiment I die cut the Whimsy word dies Happy and Wishes from the "Birthday Wishes Magical" Set and the "Smiles Happy Celebrate" Set. Simple but love it!

High Hopes Stamps - Busy Mama

Howdy

Having some fun with another great older High Hopes image. The perfect image for Mother's Day or any card to cheer up the "Busy Mama" in your life!

Yes this is one "Busy Mama" - 3 little hares would make any Mama busy don't you think? I colored with my copics and then found an older pattern paper in my stash from Sassafras. I adore that those scallops at the bottom are a printed part of the paper and cut out! I sewed down the layers with a pink card stock mat and used a cream colored card stock for my card. The sentiment "hare raising" is so perfect with the image!

Ok... seriously in love with the fact that Whimsy Stamps is now selling DoveArt images!! So many artistic gorgeous images! And for this release this month it was so hard to decide what to use first! And then I saw the pick up truck in the new "Gone Fishing" image... perfect for a much needed manly birthday card!

Gorgeous right? I colored with my Copics, colors below, and then inked the edges with Ranger's Distress ink. Now am swooning over the new background stamp!! So many ways to use this new stamp!  Farmhouse Shiplap... love!

My sentiment is the Whimsy Stamps dies "happy" from the smiles happy die set and "birthday' from the birthday wishes dies set. Favorite sets for sure for those quick sentiments! Then again those  enamel dots!

Animal Crackers - Queen of the Mountain?

Howdy -

I hope you aren't getting tired of seeing Miss Moxie laying in her Hay Bed.

She is just sooo funny that she has started this sleeping in the hay... but this last week she had Hubby just cracking up. You see he was bringing in new Hay bales and had just unloaded a new bale for the girls in the back. He got off the tractor turned around and found her....

Yep up on the hay bale!

She was actually running around in circles on the hay bale, but when he pulled out his phone to snap a photo for me to see... she laid down and posed for him! I don't think she has spent much time since on this bale as the girl donkeys don't really like her near them. And since they rarely leave the bale, Moxie will be back up to the three standard donkeys bale I am sure. But man.. she is cute!

And since we said cute...

Frankie wanted to stick his head out and say hi. Now common that face just has to make you grin right? His official name is "Frank Sinatra" Any guesses why we named him that? Love this old man! We had a nice long chat and I scratched around all over his head. He loves the attention.

I turned and went to talk to Black Jack. Uh... Black Jack......

Sorry folks, couldn't get him to come and chat at all! Sun was out for a couple of days in a week and the grass has started growing like crazy... must be good grass!

A very nice friend gave us a few chickens last week. Lets just say she went a bit chicken crazy and had a few extra... She had one injured chicken with a bit of a bum leg. We took her to give her some time and see if she would heal up and walk ok. She is doing great! And she just happens to be gorgeous!

She is a Spotted Sussex I believe. Hubby has named her Speck. I was calling her Limpy, but he didn't like that. So Speck it is. Gorgeous isn't she? She is living in with Itsy in a quiet pen right now. They are getting along pretty good and it is nice and calm. Perfect for some healing time.

And how about just adorable to end up today?

That face melts my heart. She is a bit of a nut of excitement, about 95% of the time. But that rare 5% she is a sweet girl. And always beautiful!

Hope you have a wonderful weekend planned. Hug someone furry or feathered!

High Hopes Stamps - Good Clean Fun!

Howdy -

Another fun image from High Hopes Stamps. Good Clean Fun! That is! How can you not just adore pigs in a bubble bath?

So cute - I used a piece of paper from my stash from The Girl's Paperie - Jubilee collection. Some pink card stock for a base and then a border punched with a Martha Stewart border punch. I sewed down things with my sewing machine. The sentiment is a High Hopes favorite of mine "Hog Wash!" Then just because you know I had too, I added lots of Rangers Stickles for all those bubbles!

Close up!

Animal Crackers - Handsome

Howdy -

The weather has been just plain nasty. If it would rain and move on that would be great, but cold drizzle nasty is just not fun to be out in. But I got a few photographs of the animals. And despite being a little wet and having some left over hay hanging from the side of his head... This guy is just simply Handsome!

Teddy or officially Ted E. Bear, is our standard donkey is our greeter. He likes to meet you when you drive up and not only just say hi.. but also make sure you didn't bring him some sort of treat. You know carrots.. peppermints, whatever you have on the dash or cup holder. Love this big silly boy.

Speaking of boys...

Our men in the front pen are cleaning up. Meaning that no more hay bale until they have really had a chance to clean up the smaller piles of hay. So "Dad" moves the hay ring out of the way and gives them a few days to basically clean their plate. Bales cost too much to let them waste too much. They have also started grazing more which is wonderful! Healthy and cost less! LOL They will get more hay... in a day or two.

All though if you zoom in... Miguel isn't going to go back to that old hay until he makes sure we aren't bringing in a new round bale....

As you can see he doesn't miss too many meals... "HE" looks pregnant he is so fat! LOL I tell him it is just an optical illusion due to his legs being so short it makes him look heavier... Sounds good right?

Love this one of Miss Annie - who BTW has become a bit of a spoiled brat!

She was at the fence in our back yard begging for a bit more alfalfa... now she hadn't actually finished breakfast serving yet, but since we are here maybe she could get another serving? She looks a bit like a she is making a silly grin with her eyes closed begging... Sweet but Spoiled!

Now Hubby doesn't know I snapped this one. This is my view each evening. Hubby reading his IPad in his recliner while Gato is getting comfortable in his lap. She plants herself in his lap each evening and doesn't move until made to move.

Love the look on her face... you better not ask him to go do something! I am here and getting ready to settle in for the evening!

I hope you have a wonderfully blessed weekend! Plan some furry or feathered time! Its good for your health and happiness!
