Howdy -
Well this week we finally got our Goat Wrangling done. Between Work, Shows and weather everything was coming up, but now we have places set. So last week Frank went to live with all the ladies, he is very happy and settled in well. So in his pen went our future "daddy" Waylon and our oops "daddy" Domino.
They will still be pen mates for now while we are not sure when or who we will be breeding Waylon with at this time.
All though Domino says he did give us a great baby in Penelope... so he is good to go if we are ready for more babies from him too... LOL love this guy!
So that freed up the boys pen to move Abigail and Penelope into, a bit bigger and more running and bouncing room for our gorgeous younger kid. I finally got a photo showing off more of her colors... Such a pretty little girl... And yes.. he is loving the running room and taking full advantage of it!
Sooooo that freed up the small Momma/Baby pen to move Thelma into...
We left Alice and Mary in with Alvin for now so Thelma has some private time. She is the only one really showing and her milk bag has gotten really large. By my dates we are sometime within the next couple of weeks give or take... Hopefully Alice and Mary are not far behind and will have their time in the Momma pen soon.
Thelma wasn't to happy about moving. She never is and she is always vocal in her resistance. Then yells about it for days every time she sees us. We are SO looking forward to happy healthy and GORGEOUS babies from her and Alvin!
Speaking of babies... Things have gotten quiet in Black Jacks pen for now. Very calm so we are hoping that means babies are in the works...
Peaceful right? Spring lots of green and all are happy. Caught Bella and Black Jack together grazing under the trees. So peaceful!
As I came inside from visiting all my fur kids. I found Gato enjoying the front of the refrigerator. She loves this spot. I thought it was cute her on my old rag rug, with "Chica's Flea"... yep when we are outside with the dogs in the yard. Gato gets a bit lonely, even if just a few minutes. She always finds Chica's toy Flea and drags it around the house til someone is back inside. If we leave even just one of the dogs inside she is fine... but the moment everyone is just feet out the door... she needs someone to comfort her I suppose. Silly kitty...
Hubby's big job this week has been his veggie garden. He started off last week with a few Tomatoes and Peppers in pots. And yes.. he always sticks in some flowers of some sort, just cuz he can.
This this week he has been working on the big in ground vegetable garden - not much to see yet. And well it was muddy out there and I did't want to get my shoes all nasty.. so I didn't go out there for a photo. Soon we should have More Tomatoes, Peppers, Squash, Zucchini, Watermelon, and a couple others I can't think of now...
Pulling out some of my favorite recipes and getting ready!
Hope you have a blessed weekend - hug a furry friend!

High Hopes Stamps - Goat Your Back
Howdy -
Now We have a little "GOAT watch" going on here... With three pregnant goats and one of them ready to pop any minute the High Hopes Stamps "Goat Your Back" was just too perfect for me to color up this week! LOVE this STAMP!
Now with this image I went with some very colorful goats... hoping for a few multi colored kids - So with my copics (colors below) I went with a bunch of blacks, greys and reds. I found some papers from Paper Studios that seemed to feel good with the image. The sentiment "Hoping your Day"seemed Special for this trio of goats. I sewed all the layers down with a zig zag stitch and then found a ribbon that somehow just matched perfectly.
Copic colors used -
Getting so excited for baby goats ... or more baby goats!! They are coming soon!
Have a wonderfully blessed day -

Whimsy Stamps - Bird Swing
Howdy -
Happy Easter!
Had some fun coloring some cute little birdies on a swing. This is Whimsy Stamps - "Bird Swing" by Sylvia Zet. Love playing with Whimsy Stamps Digital Stamps - instant versatile and easy storage!
Such a sweet image... now I started to go with light pastel colors, and then somehow I found a piece of paper from Paper Studios Petals and Blooms collection and those bright fun bold colors well I just had to go pink and black with this one! Fun right? I colored with Copics (colors below) and then cut out with a oval die cut and used an older Spellbinders mat. Layered up the papers with black card stock and pink card stock base, then sewed all the layers down with a zig zag stitch. Found a black and white gingham ribbon.. now it just didn't pop enough. So I colored it with my Copic - so it matched up to the bright pink and black! Love that!
For my sentiment I used the Whimsy Stamps Thanks Word and Shadow Die set. I LOVE these dies sets! They really make a statement on your cards! They POP! A retired vine die for the leaves and then some mulberry roses cuz every vine needs some roses to match that paper and image!
I had so much fun with this one, just made me feel happy.
Copics used -
I hope you have a wonderfully blessed Sunday - Enjoy your family and friends on this blessed day!

Animal Crackers - Gorgeous
Howdy -
This little Girl is just too Gorgeous!
She really is a sweet baby - she loves to get her close ups... sometimes a bit too close...
Humor is for sure in this girls personality! Love her!!
I guess the big news this week has been step one in moving around and getting the pens ready for the Moms in the goat pen. So step one Frankie has retired into the larger pen with all the ladies. I was a little nervous at first, I didn't want our old man to get hurt trying to "be a man" and run around and hurt himself.
But he was released and after he ran around for a few minutes to smell and rub his own smell on a few huts and plants... he was bored and ate a bit then claimed one of the best huts as his new Man Hut. Old man is happy and calm... So I am happy and calm!
Love that grin on his face... Happy Happy Happy!
Crissy... she decided to stay clear and watch it all from one of the igloo's. This girl is such a sweetie -
It was a beautiful sunny afternoon yesterday - We had some pretty loud storms come through a few nights ago. Takes the kids a while to get back to normal after long stormy nights. So an afternoon nap under a shady tree was just what was needed.
Irene was totally asleep when I first went out, but then she yawned and then gave me that look like I had interrupted her nice rest. One snap then I moved on so she could get back to sleep. Pretty Lady!
As I made my way back to the house - I found Autie and Chica on the porch ready to go back in. They love to be outside, running from each side of the yard, checking on their goats, donkeys and chickens. And then barking at all the dangers.. you know Moxie, butterflies, cars on the road... But then after all the things are checked off the list... they are ready to head back in and get to the air conditioning, and their cushy beds. Not that my children are lazy and spoiled... nope.
Chica was a bit in the sun on the porch, but still a pretty shot. Still blows me away how grey she is going! She is my baby!
Autie.. he had the shady section, fair though, he has 10 times thicker hair so the sun gets to much for him to deal with and even in the shade he was hot and ready to head back inside to comfort!
Love my fur babies! They bring such joy and happiness!
I hope you all have a wonderfully blessed Easter weekend - Time with family and friends and hugs from those furry kids too!

Highi Hopes Stamps - Like two peas in a pod
Howdy -
While having some fun strolling through my High Hopes Stamps these two little cuties just were begging to be colored and put on a card. "Two Peas In a Pod" - adorable!
Cute right? I colored with my Copics (colors below) and matched it up with the perfect sentiment "Like two peas in a pod". I found some pretty papers from Authentique Cuddle Baby Boy pattern papers. Such pretty blue and green patterns. Then I thought a pea pod needed a leafy mat - Spellbinders die cut mat in green. I sewed the layers down and then added three enamel dots for a pop of fun. Such a cute image!

Animal Crackers - Peaceful Furry Family
Howdy -
This week has been a bit of re-coop for us. Hubby came home from our antique show with a "cold" and he needed a slow time, we both were exhausted so when you come home and drive into our gate the peaceful view makes you just feel good and feel happy.
Feel it? Nothing can calm me and lower anyone's blood pressure like sitting and watching the donkeys graze in fresh green grass. Hubby and I sometimes drive through the gate, close up and sit and just watch. Peaceful...
I have spent lots of time loving on little Miss Penelope. She is now going thru her teenage attitude.. LOL
She loves to bop around act all grown up and then take off at a million miles an hour. This week she will come to me when I have grass in my hands. She either eats it, or plays with it. In certain moods she loves lots of scratches and rubs. Then out of nowhere bam.. she bops off again legs kicking all directions.
I thought this photo showed off how happy our old man Black Jack has been.
This happy trot towards me And if you look really close I think he is even smiling. He is happy with his Ladies living in his pen with him. He may be our old man, but he is young at heart and happy with life right now.
Bitsy was enjoying a little afternoon sun and stayed still for a close up.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder I suppose. But I think she is beautiful. And a sweetheart!
We said bye - bye to Willie this week. Was sad but happy he was going to home to be a pet with another little goat for a family. He will be spoiled I am sure.
I didn't snap a photo of him before he left, he was a shy guy, but handsome for sure!
We will miss him... but we have too many boys here and some have to go to new homes to be happy.
Hope you have a wonderful blessed weekend, Hubby and I are sticking close to home and doing some spring cleaning outdoors possibly. Time to get the goats moved around and get ready for more babies coming soon. I can hardly wait!!!

Whimsy Stamps - Party Kitty
Howdy -
This is one super cute Birthday image! This is CCDesigns "Party Kitty"
Sweet right? I colored with my Copics (colors below) and then cut it out with the Whimsy Basic Stitched Ovals Die Set. I cut out the one balloon to pop off the oval. My pattern papers are from First Edition Floral Pavilon collection. The layers are sewn down and then for my favorite part... The Whimsy Chipboard Elements "happy birthday" oh so adore these sentiments! I color with my matching copics and then add to the card! For a little added sparkle I added some clear Nuvo to the balloons. Balloons do have to shine right?

Animal Crackers - Enjoy the little things
Howdy -
OHHH those dirt baths feel sooo good! Life is about enjoying the little things. Darlene was really enjoying that warm sun and rolling around and scratching around in the dirt.
You have to excuse all the weeds. Part of Springtime.. grass grows so fast, and weeds.even faster. At least when you have rain. LOL That is what we always worry about is enough rain. But at this moment.. all the fur babies are loving the green and those great dirt baths!
Chloe stopped by to flash her beautiful blue eyes at me. Was it that or looking for a treat? Oh it was just me I am sure... ha!
Lacey came over to me for the head scratches. Oh she is a hog for treats but she also is all about attention. You know I thank God all the time for us getting this girl years back. For those that haven't gotten the story in the past...
Lacey was a bonus baby we bought. We were looking for some young girls to buy way back, and found out about Victoria...
Who we adore as well. Victoria has a pedigree that is top of the charts. Her Daddy and her Grandfather were both champion blue ribbon donkeys, her coloring is beautiful white with dark brown and black spots. Her eyes are a green coloring so we were very excited about purchasing her... But you see Victoria had a BFF that was born the same day and they had not be apart ever. When we harnessed up Victoria to lead her out of the pen, well both her and Lacey were not happy. And as most young girls do when upset they threw a temper tantrum. The breeder asked if we would consider buying Lacey at a "good price" so we could keep the two together. Well I love a good sale.. and I LOVE Lacey. So it was a true blessing! And the girls have never been apart in all these years. We even breed them at the same time so they don't ever have to be apart. That is really great BFFs for sure!
And since I know you were missing your shot of Penelope ... I decided a good face shot was needed to make you smile!
Gorgeous huh? And common.. I know you smiled right?
Hope you have a wonderfully blessed weekend -

High Hopes Stamps - Sick Bird
Howdy -
Another new image from High Hopes Stamps Get Well Soon collection. This is "Sick Bird"
Poor little guy is really "feeling under the weather". Maybe it is sinuses? They are really really bad around here right now... I KNOW! I colored with my Copics (colors below) and then added a little clear NUVO for the rain drops and running down the umbrella. I found some cute papers from Kaisercraft that are all sewn together with a zig zag stitch. Then I used the fun sentiment "sorry you're feeling under the weather" Then two die cut corners for some fun.
Such a sweet image and perfect to pick up the spirits of someone special that is feeling a bit poorly.
