Whimsy Stamps - Penguin Loves Bunny

Howdy -

Whimsy Stamps has so many beautiful fun images... So many great artist. They are all favorites and so hard narrow down. This week I had a favorite of this Crissy Armstong's "Penguin Loves Bunny" image.

Too adorable, right? I colored up with Copics (colors below) and then cut out with a Spellbinders Nestie. Then I was able to put my circle in the Whimsy Shapeology Double Scallop Circle Die. (Hurry this die is on sale right now!) Then I used a white card stock base with black mats. My yummy papers are from Paper Studio Favorites collection. I sewed all they layers down. The sentiment is also from Whimsy Stamps "Vintage Sentiments Digital Collection"  Such a pretty collection of lots of sentiments!! Then for some added fun a few Enamel Dots!

High Hopes Stamps - Herbie

Howdy -

One more favorite older stamp from High Hopes Stamps! I have been having so much fun going through older stamps! "Herbie" is just too cute for words don't you think?

I have always loved all the country/farm images from High Hopes Stamps - and Herbie with his two blue ribbon chickens is just too cute! I colored with my Copics (colors below) and then cut and rounded the corners. My papers are from Paper Studio Mixer and Match collection, with Kraft card stock and cut a mat with an older Spellbinders die. I inked the edges of everything with Rangers Distress Ink. Sewed down the layers with a zig zag stitch and added a piece of lace. For some added embellishment I dug through the old stash and found four red brads and attached along with some jewelry spacers. Added High Hopes Stamps "Large Fancy Happy Birthday" for my sentiment.

Animal Crackers - Chick Chick Chick...

Howdy -

Last week were discussing moving Itsy and Bitsy outside. I was worried they were too young and thought we might wait another couple of weeks. Well then Hubby went to the feed store...

Now how can going to pick up hay and feed to bringing home more chicks? And I wasn't the one standing at them pouting for them! LOL

Our inside chick hut wasn't big enough for 6 new chicks with Itsy and Bitsy.  So the larger porch chick hut came out. We have 6 new family members and Itsy and Bitsy now live in the large hut with their new siblings.

I thought maybe they wouldn't like the new company when first introduced, I mean they have lived over a month just the two of them. But they seemed to bond up right away! Or maybe it was just necessary to become buddies right off to fend off the crazy lady poking her camera into their new home.

Aren't they adorable? So fuzzy!

Also new this week... Raffie has new Ladies in his pen.

Yes FINALLY!!! We have three girls in with Raffie to have babies next year!!! We planned four, but Irene was not being so cooperative in heading into the pen. Seems all the running kicking Heeing and Hawing from the others spooked her off a bit. We will work on her in a few days maybe, and now we will starting thinking about who will be visiting Black Jack for the season... :0) Even if we will have to wait a couple of weeks.

One last photo to "end" things this week.

Ha! Hubby brought in a load of hay this week... oops a part of a bale fell off the truck and made a little mess outside the hay barn... no worries the three standards, Valentine, Cocoa and Teddy made sure it was all cleaned up!

Hope you got a giggle and smile this week. And I hope you have a wonderfully blessed weekend!

Whimsy Stamps - Hello Spring Birds

Howdy -

Do you love Spring cards? I DO! And the new Whimsy Stamps "Hello Spring Birds" by Krista Heij-Barber is just too fun play with!

This is a fabulous clear set with lots to have fun with! I used two of the chick stamps for the image, and then one more for the sentiment! I colored with the Copics (colors below) then inked the edges with Ranger Distress Inks on the edges. Kraft card stock for the base, and then a pretty blue card stock with a piece of Paper Studio Country Roads paper, then a pretty Die'sire Doily Lattice that I colored the little flowers to match the ones in the image. All the layers sewed down, then three dots of Viva Decor pearl pen.

High Hopes Stamps - Brayden the Donkey!

Howdy -

High Hopes Stamps today and for March we have been looking through some of our past favorite stamps... and I couldn't revisit favorites without one of my very first High Hopes Stamps. And of course it is a DONKEY! This is Brayden... adore him!

Love Brayden!!! He has always reminded me of my first baby donkey Diego. :0) I colored with my copics (colors below) and then cut out with an oval Spellbinders Nestie. I then found an older Heartfelt Die to use as a mat. My papers are from Paper Studio's Country Road collection. I sewed all they layers down with a zig zag stitches. Then I used the a large mulberry flower and Martha Stewart leaves punch centered with "Just Because!"

Animal Crackers - Looking in ??

Howdy -

You ever get that feeling that someone is watching you? Staring at you? Maybe they are just trying to get your attention and want breakfast!!

Yep... walking through the dining room yesterday morning we found the three standard donkeys peeking inside to see just how close Hubby was to coming out to hand deliver breakfast to them. Cocoa is the most impatient... you know us girls when we are hungry!

But Teddy was right there too... LOL

Valentine was also there but at this moment he was scratching his head on the tree...

Now cute was Gato staring right back out to the donkeys.

It is safe inside to pretend you are tough and look face to face in a giant donkey! Isn't she pretty though?

And then speaking of breakfast... Pavo is missing a piece of his. Can you help him figure out where he put it??

Now Spartacus the goat wears his hay on his head... but now Pavo seems to think that saving some for later on his back is a good idea.

And now a little update on our two baby chicks. They are getting SOOO BIG! I have been calling them "Itsy and Bitsy" (have to keep the names neutral as we don't know if we have girls or boys yet... please be girls, please be girls!) And this week they have been going through their ugly chick faze. Oh they are still cute who am I kidding!

Their grown up feathers starting coming in first part of the week, their cones on their noses, and LOTS of feathers on those big feet!

We are thinking that it is now time to put them out into the larger chick outside on the porch. But it is still getting a little cool here at night and well... I like them being inside where I know they are safe. But soon... they will have to move out they are just growing up too fast!

Hope you have enjoyed this week. A little smile?

High Hopes Stamps - Thanks a Bunch!

Howdy -

Now I know there are many people that are still dealing with winter, but here in central Texas I am ready for Spring! So I colored up a few fun flowers to get me through until I can have some real ones blooming.

This is Basket of Love -

Who doesn't love a smiling basket of flowers? I colored with my Copics (colors below) and then found papers from Paper Studio to match up with, and for some frills I used a Whimsy Stamps Double Scallop Die as a mat. The sentiment "Thanks a bunch!" is perfect with this image. I added some Martha Stewart large punches and mulberry flowers with button centers.

Inside more of the same papers.

Animal Crackers - Ups and Downs

Howdy -

Ups and Downs. you see when you have nearly 100 "children" there is someone you are keeping a watch on or worrying over every week. Last week it was Black Jack. He is doing well and seems to be much happier now that he back in his larger pen and has heard the whispers that he will be getting a girlfriend or two soon. This week it has been Hank that we have been worrying over.

A bit of colic we think. Or Goat Bloat it is called. Painful, and can be fatal. But hopefully we caught it early enough and he will put back on some weight and get back to 100% -

It seems though that he felt with all that special attention he was a bit more special than everyone else and decided that he deserved to get out of his pen and roam around on his own. Took Hubby a while to figure out where this hidden door was ... Now as much as I would like to spoil him and allow this... the thought of the dangers out there, mainly coyotes this is just out of the question. But not once... not twice... but three times he did this. Caught a photo of him totally ignoring me and acting like things are all good... LOL Love this guy he is always so funny.

Now speaking of funny... check out the photo Hubby snapped one evening last week!

Now this may not look to odd to most. I mean it is perfectly normal to find Gato in the dog bed around here. And often she is in the bed with Chica... once in a while with Autie... but NEVER with Libbie. You see Libbie does not like Gato... could she be mellowing in her old age? Nah... I think maybe she has just not realized that Gato is there and not one of the other dogs....

One of my new favorite sights....

This is as you drive into our gate. The "Men" - Rico, Diego, Miguel and Sebastian are all living in their brand new pasture and loving it. And yes that is puddles of water standing in a few places... big rain storm the night before... water will stand here for a few days. But that will also cause it to stay greener in this pasture going into summer!

Big grassy pasture with a nice new large "house" that I made Hubby build a larger than normal  over hang porch for them. They will need that porch shade for the summer here!

I had been so nervous about putting Sebastian in with the men, but it actually has been smooth! Well after a few days of screaming for his Mom... but him getting along with the guys has been great. Rico has actually bonded up with him and the two loving playing!

It is so peaceful to drive up and sit and watch them... and boy are they are loving all that green grass!

One more view when you drive up to our gate...

My Yucca is blooming right now. So pretty when it does this. But it may be the last season for this Yucca. It has gotten pretty large and Hubby and I have grown tired of Yucca and cactus at the front of our gate... was great when we didn't have a water line up there. Now we have one put in for the donkeys new pen... that means now we can water plants up there! So I am trying to talk Hubby into some antique roses... wouldn't that be pretty??

Hope you have enjoyed...
Have a wonderfully blessed weekend!!

Whimsy Stamps - Frog Friend

Howdy -

Today I had some fun with a new "Frog Friend". I adore Whimsy Stamps and Crissy Armstrong images and this little guy and his frog friend are just too cute!

I colored with Copics ( colors below ) and then found some more boyish papers. Funny... I really had to dig ... seems I tend to buy more girlie papers... LOL  But I love this denim with a patch of camo. I sewed down the pattern paper to green card stock then placed on a base of kraft card stock for the card. Three vintage buttons on the side, then I used Whimsy Stamps Shapeology Large Happy Word die  and then Large Birthday word.  Favorite dies for birthday cards!

Inside more of the same papers.
