Happy Monday!! Yea Yea I know I just trying to be more upbeat and positive... LOL Man this weekend went fast! Time to get the week going and get done all that I didn't get done last week.
I got a chance on Saturday to make some cards! Shocking huh? The first I made was one of the new Tina Wenke images from Stampavie. Ok now these images are just too gorgeous. I am so in love with coloring them and making cards with them, just too cute! This one is Mouse in a Nutboat. How sweet is this for a baby card?
I colored with my Copics and then high lighted with white gel pen. And the back ground is chalk - love the soft look it gives to the backgrounds, so the image can pop.
For the card I started with a white card stock base, then pulled a few patterns from K&Company's Gypsy baby stack. (I think that is the name.. ) I created a "ribbon" or band across the middle with one of the patterns and two EK Success border punches. Everything is matted with the white card stock and sewed down. I couldn't decide which flowers I liked better with this card... the prima flowers or the Creative Inspirations felt flowers - so I used both! With a large button, jewelry spacers and mini brads, and Martha Stewart frond leaf and branch punches. The sentiment is from Hero Arts, punched out with a Stampin Up Word Window punch.
I hope you have found the new Tina Wenke stamps in your stores... if not ask them to get them in - they are just tooooo cute! Or you can shop at any of these links from the Stampavie Store Locator's page... ( just helping enable you!!!) Just click the location you would like to shop from, then you will see a listing with all the info for every store that has Stampavie images! Love the Google Map feature... you can print out a map for directions and even see the photos of some of the stores.. :0)

Better get my day going... Hubby is home working on my craft room... :0)

Moving Pictures on Donkey Day!
Now please.. my first time with the video camera... and my "objects" were really moving fast. I promise to work on my skills and bring you some better shots...
But for those that want to see how Sergio is doing....
I do have a few photos as well.... But seriously, seeing this little boy run and play so hard just makes my heart sing!!
This is Jazz... can't you hear her... "Now Son, if you eat right along the fence here you will get some of the best fresh grass.... Do like I do..."
This one is funny to me... Macey is a very protective Mom... this is just about as far as little Felicia is allowed to get.. unless she is running full steam and Mom just can't keep up that is... LOL
Same pen is Darlene and Bella... they have become a set of bookends, and really good pals. You scratch my back, I'll scratch yours..... Darlene is one of our oldest Donkeys and Bella one of the youngest Mom's.
And then I caught Sergio way out in the pen, I think he was trying to get Coffee and Toffee's attention, they were moved to their new owners this past week... sad I lost my boys - but as you can see they really didn't go very far... but my they were my biggest miniatures... now they just looks so tiny against her huge horses. But don't worry about them - Coffee already runs the pen.
Sorry no Libbie photo again this week... she just was to wild, too messy and well I just didn't get anything worth showing off... after a bath this week and me having a bit more sleep maybe next week will be better.
Hope you have a wonderful Saturday!

Just Magnolias - Ribbons and Bows
Hello and sorry I am so late today.. over slept, first time I took both feedings by myself last night and well... just didn't wake up like I always do. I am blaming Libbie - she always gets us up no later than 6:30am - I guess all of these night feedings have her schedule messed up too as she was still asleep to.. LOL
Anyway on to today's card-
The theme this week is Ribbons and Bows at Just Magnolia Challenge well that is something we all love!
I started out with one of my Tildas.. for some reason the Ladybug one just popped out at me. I colored her with my Copics and then cut her out with my Nesties. I then found a scrap of Papertrey Ink paper from one of my last cards sitting on my desk.... perfect for my Tilda don't you think? I cut a scalloped mat out of the red dots.My base is a white card stock, with a layer of red card stock then another of white. I then used the Fiskar's Threading Water border punch and ran Papertrey Ink Red Dot Satin ribbon through the holes, then tied a bow. Love how they match... all of their stuff matches so perfectly. I Doodled around the edge with a red Spica glitter pen, then decided it needed just a bit more so I punched out two corners and very carefully peeled up the corners on the bottom to add them.... yep I had already glued down the layers, but it worked and I like it.
I do hope you will pop over to the JUST MAGNOLIA Challenge and give the Ribbons and Bow a try and see all the other DT work... just gorgeous!
ALSO.... Today is the InStyle Blog HOP... I just fell so far behind this past week with Sergio I didn't get to join in today... but please do hop over to the DT's pages or the Blog and see all that they made... They really do such beautiful fun work, just made me sick I missed playing this time.
Thanks and see you tomorrow for Donkey Day....

Life is better when it is fun!
Now that is a good sentiment! And after the week we just went through it is time to have fun! Let me tell you there is nothing better than sitting out by the donkey pen at the end of the day and watching 3 little baby donkeys run and play. It really warms the heart. We have been parents to little Sergio a week now... told Hubby that this morning and he groaned and said "Is that all... feels like a year" But really we are getting use to it, and taking turns with the night shifts to help us each get more sleep. And Sergio is growing like a weed and doing really great! Lots of Donkey photos I am sure on Donkey Saturday!
So you want to see a card? LOL
I am now in code red.. this is one of my last "emergency" colored up images - the past week has used up all of my extra cards and emergency fill in cards, hopefully I will have a chance to get caught up this weekend and make a few ahead....
But I do love this new Summer image from Alota Rubber Stamps. Really what I would love to do after a day out side helping Hubby the past few days... whew it is hot? I think we are at day 58 of over 100 degrees in a row here... just nuts! This is "Sprinkler Bugs" I think they are wonderful and reminds me of summer as a kid... now they wouldn't let you do this, water conservation, and water restrictions here are horrible. I think my sister had some sort of flower sprinkler, but hers had things that waved around in the air and shot out water. Me.. just a plain old sprinkler.. oh but one year I did get a slip and slide! Man the bruises we got from that thing!!
My card is a pretty simple one today wanted the image to be the focus... I colored the sky and ground with chalk, then the bugs and details with my Copics... do you love those little flip flops or what? I then high lighted with white gel pen, stickles on the flying bugs wings and then clear dimensional glaze for the water... really looks cool in person.. I tried really hard to get a photo.
The papers... the card stock base is a Bazzil dark green, then the three patterns are all from Papertrey ink. I sewed down everything with my machine... trying to practice my random stitching.. so frustrating! I found a satin ribbon that I think is a Martha Stewart ribbon, that is the same color as the one pattern paper. A pre-made flower from my stash. Then that sentiment - from Cloud 9 - I thought it was just too perfect for this image, it is an epoxy sticker that I put on the green dotted paper and cut out.
So that is it... I hope to have a few minutes today to catch up on blog reading.. I have missed so much this week - Hope you have a wonderful Thursday!

mmmm can you smell the baked goods?
Hello - I needed some fun time last night... just down time of really playing with my stuff. And that is what I did! I pulled out a few of my newer Alota Rubberstamps images "Julia's Kitchen Set" How wonderful and fun is this?
I colored with my Copics and high lighted with Sakura glaze pens. Then they were all cut out. I colored the inside of the stove and then cut open the door and glued the pie into place. I just love how that came out....... you can almost smell it!For my card I used mostly scraps! A white card stock for the base. Then a piece of light brown Core'dinations that I sanded. I then found a scrap for the "wallpaper", it was two sided, so the back side became my base board and top border - punched with a EK Success wave punch and then a second one in a darker color laid behind the first to show off the dots and give it a band and the bottom. Then I thought it needed something more... so I pulled out an Alota wallpaper border and created a floral band at the top. Love my cozy kitchen ... don't you!
Then I was trying to figure out what sentiment I wanted this card for... and I found one more Alota Stamps "Let's Do Lunch" ... seemed just too perfect, so I used up the last of the scraps on the inside with it.
I pop dotted Julia off of the card so I think this one qualifies for the Paper Craft Planet Alota Group challenge that is going on right now to make a 3-D card - a stretch yes I know but hey she is popped off the card and the door to the stove opens so that is sort of 3-D. :0)
Hope you will visit the site and join the challenge... see you tomorrow :0)

A Spoon full of Halloween?
Hello - It is Tuesday and that means it is a Spoon Full of Sugar day! And this weeks challenge is a sketch by the very talented DT Member Sonja... great Sketch and very different for me - loved it.
My card was a chance to pull out one of the new ALOTA Rubber Stamps Halloween stamps - love how cute this one is... "Pumpkin Treat House" Cute huh? I colored with my copics as usual :0)
For the card I followed the sketch ... starting with a piece of Core'dinatons card stock that I sanded slightly. Then found four pattern papers from the DCWV Fall stack and scattered them on the page as per the sketch - LOL it was so hard to place them for me... I guess I just kept trying to keep them square and even... some times random isn't very easy for me.
I then matted the image with the same card stock and stamped out the sentiment Happy Halloween also from Alota and then tore the edges of the paper... great to do with the Core'dinations, I just forget how cool it looks. The edges of the card and image were doodled with a glaze pen. Then for fun... instead of flowers as per the sketch.. I used two spider buttons... and what would spiders be without some "webbing" so I used twine and wrapped around the card in a few places.. ok so a spider would have been more artistic about it and it would have been perfect... but me.. LOL...
Hope you like my Halloween card. You know I have never been a Halloween card person... but there are so many cute images (just wait until you see what is coming from Alota Rubber stamps... I can't wait!!!)
Better get busy... lots I would love to get done today.. long list thinking maybe I can get 1/2 of it done.. :0) the other 1/2 of the day will be out with Sergio and the other two babies! Such time wasters... and so worth it. Sergio is doing great!

Hi - its Monday... Stampavie DT Challenge time
I am running so late - I over slept... imagine that :0) First I know many will want to know how my orphan baby Sergio is doing.. the answer is GREAT! He is eating 2 cups of formula from a little pail every 2.5-3 hours... every last drop. He has started to fill out and looks wonderful. He has started running and playing with his brother and sister. It looks like the group is letting him hang with them and be a part of the herd. So other than sleep deprived.. I am thrilled and I do think he is going to be one strong little boy... and already I can say... I don't think this one is going anywhere... I am ( and I think Hubby is too) very attached to my baby.
Now my card - I am so late, I have to pick my Mom up in just a little bit to take her to have a root canal done.. So quickly - The info about the challenge is on the Stampavie DT Blog - again there is a GREAT PRIZE... so please play with us. It is a color challenge RED-YELLOW-ORANGE ... and then any Stampavie image... that is it. It runs until until September 6th 12:00 am (CEST).
I used one of the new Tina Wenke images... Mouse on Orange Daisy - so I of course colored the daisy orange :0)
For my card - quick here.. white card stock, scrap yellow and white gingham, and the flowers is a piece of Fabric! A stack from a quilt store.. gorgeous patterns and this one was perfect for the challenge - I sewed all together with yellow and orange multi thread.
I used my Nesties label die to cut out the image, then hand cut the two mats.. ran Papertrey Ink Dotted satin ribbon thru and then added the sentiment and Heidi Swapp chipboard Heart.
Please visit the Stampavie DT Blog to see the other cards and join in on our fun!
Sorry so quick... ACK... only 30 minutes til I need to leave and I am still in my PJ's!!!

Donkey Day - My life is all about Sergio Now...
As you may have read in my post yesterday - we lost Cheyenne Thursday night, it has been very sad around here - lots of tears, but my focus now is for her baby Sergio. He is my life now...
Cheyenne was one of the first three donkeys we purchased 7 years ago. She was a huge part of our family and very special as one of the first. Her death has been a shock to us and really taken a lot out of Hubby and myself. But we both know that the main priority now is her 11 day old baby... So the foal formula came out and I tried to start bottle feeding at 4 am yesterday... 3 hours I got 4 oz in him and just as much all over me. He did not like the bottle and fought me. Doc suggested that we just skip the bottle and go straight to a pail... I found a small stainless steel pail and mixed up 2 cups of formula.... after we got him to figure out to put his head down a bit instead of up and back... he drank the entire pail. Then every 2 - 2.5 hours he had gotten down 2 cups..
So now we have done this over 24 hours.. he already has learned that the silver pail means a meal and Hee Haws and comes towards us when we come out the back door. So for the next few days... every 2-3 hours I will be out with Sergio making sure he gets down his milk. He is already chewing on hay and roots, and drinking water a bit. So if we can get through the first week I think we will be in a safe area and he will make it. So now I guess all my days ... OH and nights will revolve around the alarm on my cell phone going off every 2.5 hours. Last night was hard, after being up all night with his Mom the night before and so tired already. Hubby was great he insisted on coming out with me each time, despite the fact he was totally worn out and had to go to work today... he is such a great guy and really is so attached to each of our babies. He is so funny ... he tells each of the now 34 of them.."Now don't tell anyone else but you are my favorite..." I am sure the night shift "feedings" will soon become my detail.. But I think he was just so worried about Sergio that he just had to go out with me.
So now that we have feeding down... and I will have to learn when to up the amounts of milk. My next worry is that he will find some comfort with the other donkeys and learn to socialize with them. He doesn't have the nuzzling that the Moms give their babies, and the learning and "do what I do" that the baby gets from Mom... I was hoping that one of the Mom's might take him in a bit... adopt him even if it wasn't to feed but just to help take care of - that we will watch over time and see... right now they don't push him away (they were in the beginning) they are allowing him to "hang" with them.. not to close but closer - and for the first time late last night he played with is 1/2 brother and 1/2 sister... funny too as he is the older one he should be the leader. But due to the fact he was off with his sick Mom... and not getting enough to eat, he just didn't have it in him to play with the others. I am sure in a few days he will be much stronger and playing with them much more.
So my life is in 2-3 hours increments. If I can't get somewhere and back in that time.. it is not possible. In a few weeks.. it will move to 3-4.. then a few weeks 4-5... that will get me past the 3 month mark and then he should be ok to only be fed milk 4-5 times in a 24 hours time.
Now... do you think I will be able to sell this little guy after all of this... I have already warned Hubby... our first big dollar hot stud to sell... and well he is going to be a Mommas boy and I am just going to have to wait and see... bets are being placed... most of the family is putting their money on "no sale".....

Just Magnolia - sketch by Rach!
Hello - today is Just Magnolia Friday~ and today the challenge is a wonderful sketch by DT member RACH!! A fabulous sketch!
I decided to go with some paper piecing on my Tilda this week - I found one of my older Tildas.. just love her party dress with that full slip showing. I stamped her out three times. One on Papertrey Ink Natural paper, then once on a piece of bright white card stock, then a third time on the DCWV La Creme pattern paper. I cut out the dress and the hair band from the pattern, and the collar and the slip from the bright white. I colored everything else on the Natural paper with my Copics. Then I played paper dolls and dressed my Tilda with the "clothes" I had cut out.
For the card my base is Bazzil Dotted Swiss, the from the DCWV La Creme stack I pulled out three pattens and followed the sketch. OH and this paper... has flocked papers, so those flowers are fuzzy soft. I sewed down the pieces with my sewing machine and black thread. I used a mulberry rose, and Martha Steward frond punch for the flower on the corner.
I hope you will pop over and see the other DT cards from Just Magnolias and play along with us.
Sorry I am a bit out of sorts - I have been very worried and out with the donkeys most of the day. I need some prayers from you again. You really did help me with Rosie when she was sick. Now is scarier though. Cheyenne is VERY sick, and it has hit her suddenly. She is one of my new Mom's.. Sergio's Mom. She stopped eating and drinking - the vet has come out and we are giving her everything we can. She has pneumonia. Stress pneumonia is what Doc is calling it, from the birth, the heat and such dry conditions during her birthing. He doesn't give us really any hope of her surviving. I don't want to loose her, she has been a part of our family for over 6 years. And I don't want Sergio to loose his Mom... only a week old and she isn't producing enough milk for him - so we are trying to bottle feed him. He doesn't like it. So I am asking for you help... prayers - I am trying hard to believe we can save her and she will make it through this, despite the Doc saying her prognosis is grave. Thanks..
EDITED: I wrote my post in the middle of the night. Cheyenne passed away shortly after. Now we need your prayers that her baby will take to the bottle and I can keep him healthy and alive.

Thanks..

MichJay Challenge #4!!!
YEA!! I cannot tell you how much I have started looking forward to the MichJay Challenge each month!!! Now some may ask, "What is the MichJay Challenge?" Well a few months back my good friend and fellow DT member JayJay and I were chatting and both were saying how much we needed to get out of the box.. the card only box and start doing more 3-D projects. So we challenged each other to make at least one 3-D item a month and post on our blogs on the 20th of the month and show what we made. We take turns finding templates to use, and it is so wonderful to see how different we each make the same template.
This month JayJay found a wonderful template from Lauren Meader (another fellow DT member) her templates are wonderful to play with and you can find them at Papertrey Ink - the one we chose to use is called "Pack a Picnic" ... really cute and only $5.00. (Some months we find free templates as well) But hey $5.00 is really pretty cheap - cuz you get all the template pieces plus a bunch of idea instructions as well.
Ok now I know this is called Pack a Picnic... but I saw a cute little porcelain jar when I made mine... funny huh? So I switched out the long strap handles and made a little loop handle for the top. I think it was the paper I chose, but I really love how it came out, even if I changed it up and went a different direction.I glue dotted the handle down and then poked tiny holes through to put the wires from the flower through. Do you love those flowers or what!!! OH my I just go my an order from Wildorchid Crafts... pretty huh? I just love them! (thanks Bev for enabling me....LOL)
I then added butterfly lace around the outside of the lid. Did I tell you what the paper is? I don't think I did... duh It is from American Crafts, wonderful heavy two sided paper. The heavy paper really does work best with folding and holding up to making a box.
Now for the front of the box. I used one of the new Stampavie Sarah Kay images "Can I tell you a Secret" I just love how sweet this image is - so precious. I cut it out with my Fiskar's large round squeeze punch, then added another Rose, three mini rose buds (also from Wildorchid Crafts) and two Martha Stewart Frond punched leaves.
I just love how this one came out.. I think I just may have too keep this to sit on my desk in my new craft room! LOL... Hubby just shakes his head when I am already decorating it...
NOW I just have to pop over to JayJay's Blog : http://www.stempelelfejayjay.blogspot.com/ I just can't wait to see what she has made... :0)
Have a wonderful Thursday!

New Noel Sarah Kay!
I am so excited about the new Noël Sarah Kay images coming to Stampavie! They are really gorgeous... very pretty and really artistic. This is Noël Joy - Do you love that hat or what??? I think Sarah Kay really has a hat thing - cuz she does the best hats out there.
I colored my image with my Copics and high lighted with white gel pen. The base of my card is a Bazzil Dotted Swiss card stock, then all of the pattern papers are SEI Alpine Frost papers, really pretty, I cut out the snow flakes from one of the patterns, and then added some really big bling to the centers. I found a rich dark red satin ribbon in my drawer that I used as a band across the middle. And do you love that stamp I used as and extra? A French postage mark - perfect for this image! It is from Stampabilities - wonderful stamp!
Sorry today's post is short.. oh my I running so late! I have to get to work, I have a long list today that HAS to get done. Plus Hubby is off today to work on the addition.. so I am sure I will need to go out and help him from time to time... I need an extra 6-8 hours today to get this list done... LOL
Hope you have a wonderful day! HUGS and I do hope you come back tomorrow I am very excited about the 4th MichJay Challenge post! I just love how my project came out and can't wait to see my friend JayJay's!

A Spoon Full of ... Vroom Vroom!
LOL... today's challenge at a Spoon Full of Sugar is travel. Now that can be taken a lot of ways and we leave it open to you... whether it is something you travel in or a place you travel too.
I decided it was time to make a "guy" card. And with all that I had put together for this card, it became a scene card and I had no room for any pattern paper.
I started off with my "travel"... this is"COOL CAR" from Alota Rubber stamps.. HOW cool is it? I just love it! And it is perfect for this Cool Edwin from Magnolia don't you think. Oh I can't tell you how much fun I had making this one.. it was so much like playing with paper dolls.
I also used the brick wall from Magnolia and the graffiti "Happy Birthday" - the clouds are a stamp I purchased a few years ago at a LSS Garage Sale, I don't know if I have ever used it. It says it is a Stampscape from KJN ... I used really light blue so it is hard to see in the photo, but looks perfect in person. Now I used one other stamp. It is from Clear Stamps I believe... it is the license plate ... How wonderful is it??
The only other things I used was an EK Success border punch, the forest. A piece of cork for the dirt road, and then for just some added fun... a giant bling for the head light on the car!! I just love that part.
I hope you like my "cool" scene - I had a lot of fun making it. And Hubby really likes this one -
Now I also hope that you will vroom on over to A Spoon Full of Sugar Challenge the DT traveled all over with their cards - and again this week there is a prize... so please join us!
Today is a special shopping day - MIL and I are meeting my Mom and Sister and the three kids to get each of them some new school clothes. This is a tradition I started way back when the oldest started kindergarten. Now years later... we still meet towards the end of the school year and get them a few fun outfits for school. We all have been so busy this year so it just kept getting put off each week.. I thought we had a few more weeks.. at least a couple. But uh no.. they start school next Monday!! Where did summer go? So today is the day... wish me luck...MIL, my MOM and three kids...
OH one more thing... I am so happy for my nephew and well the whole family. There is a non-profit organization that helps make wishes come true for kids that have special challenges in life. Like my nephew Tagen. Dream Factory... a wonderful group of people. Well Tagen was chosen as this years child to make a wish.. and his wish... to go to see Micky's Playhouse! Yes.. Dream factory is sending the whole family all five of them for a week to Disney World! And even better.. they leave on his birthday October 2nd! I am sooo happy for them! You can see a photo of Tagen and his Dad on the Dream Factory web site HERE
Have a wonderful Tuesday!

Alota PCP Challenge 17 - 3-D!
A new challenge has started up at the Alota Rubber Stamp Paper Craft Planet group! And this week it is hosted by none other than The boss lady herself, Helene! She asked us to go 3-D ... I have had a lot of these popping cards in the last week. Isn't it funny how all the challenges at once ask for the same time without knowing it...
But first I want to show off what Hubby came home with Saturday for my birthday!!! Aren't they gorgeous. Then he took me to a LSS for a garage sale and big shopping sale... and then he took me to dinner!!! OH and on the way home we stopped by the hardware store and got the windows for my Craft room... Yes I am very lucky... he is a keeper!
Now for my card...
I started with one of the new releases from Alota Rubber Stamps - This is "Celebrating Fall" Are they adorable or what? Love the look on the bug in the wheel barrow... I colored everything with my Copics... including a second image to have a few things to pop for the challenge!
You can see here I popped the raking bug and LOTS of the leaves... used foam dots.
For my card I picked a golden yellow color to go with the fall colors. The papers are all from the DCWV Fall stack. (Thanks HELENE!!) And that ribbon is just gorgeous isn't it.. from American Crafts I believe.
The sentiment is also from Alota Rubber Stamps..
I do hope you will pop over to the Alota Rubber Stamps PCP group site and join in on the fun! Helene give wonderful prizes and all you have to do is use an Alota image and what ever the challenge is to get in on the fun!
Better get busy.. have a bit of work to do, then have to clean house. Later today I have an old friend coming out to see the donkeys - love showing them off!

I'll wait three days to hear from Maria - if she doesn't claim the prize I'll pick a second name. If you know Maria... shout out and let her know she won!
Again thank you all for the wonderful comments and taking the time to visit my blog- as for the wonderful suggestions for craft room colors - they were wonderful and so fun to hear the colors of your actual craft rooms.. rooms of your dream... and beautiful rooms you have seen on the web and in magazines. I think I have made up my mind. But since at this point you can still see through the walls and it is currently just studs, I have time to change my mind a few million times.. LOL I am driving Hubby crazy already decorating a room that he is still building, that and having him measure these imaginary walls and he finds out I am placing furniture in my mind already... I am excited what can I say?
Off to Sunday breakfast with the locals - then home.. where I am sure many of the "gang" will follow us to see the new babies - Then Hubby and I will get to work on the addition!
Hope you have a wonderful Day!
