Trick or Treat!!! Do you have any Milk Bones?

Today I am starting off with Libbie....

Trick or Treat

Now first off... she isn't being punished, she isn't hurt, she isn't scared... ok maybe a little freaked out.. But come on she is cute isn't she - and it only lasted a couple of minutes so I could take the photographs!

I couldn't resist dressing her up for Halloween, this little bumble bee costume was just to cute! Can you believe this is a medium! For a 12 lb. dog - glad I didn't get the small! Here you can almost hear what she is saying..... "If you don't make that cat stop laughing I am going to loose it!" The cat was standing up on the chair to see what we were doing... I tried to get a photo of that, but I was laughing to hard and Libbie was loosing her patience with me! LOL

A side view so you can see the wings, legs and stinger on the back. It has little holes on the top for her ears to come out - but her ears are so floppy and wide that just wasn't going to happen - I don't think I am going to leave the costume out.. she just might shred it to pieces! LOL

I dressed Diego up as Eeyore this year!! LOL he is my Eeyore year round - slow, sweet and calm. My big boy.

Here is a good photo I got of Cali - I set the camera down close to the ground... she looks so grown up here - well really she is can you believe it is time to wean her and put her in with last years babies in the youth pen? I am going to wait just a few more weeks until Mirta is old enough too - that way they can move together and it isn't quite a stressful for them. You can see Mom Lacey in the background.

Here is another from the ground shot I got - Lola and Lina with their heads through the fence - grass is always greener on the other side you know! Lola really is a carbon copy of her Mom Cheyenne - who we miss really bad... Lola was on our for sale list.... but when we lost Cheyenne, we decided we had to keep her only little girl.

Speaking of "For Sale" - Hubby came home yesterday from work and announced that he thinks Pavo and Freddie are sold - Yes... I know it kills me to sell any of them, but the boys really do have to go as I just can't keep them all - unless I start a feed the donkeys fund! We have 35 now.. and that really pushes they cost of hay off the budget! LOL

And look how sweet the babies are... can you believe they are getting so big? Now we have decided that Felicia will stay - she is really small and will be a good future breeder. Sergio... well I think we all know that he should be sold - but well... he is my little orphan and I have spent unknown amount of hours with the little guy 24/7 with his feedings and I (and Hubby) just don't think we will be able to let go of him. Carlos... he is on the For Sale list - darn that hurts.... he is such a cutie - this "business" is hard!!!

Well I hope you all have a wonderful Saturday - and enjoyed Donkey/Libbie Day :0) Libbie really did look funny huh? Happy Halloween!

Just Magnolias - Monochrome!

Well it is all one shade! Well I take it as what the theme Monochrome means - and of course white doesn't count right? LOL oh well what ever you take the word to mean - Monochrome is the challenge at Just Magnolias this week and we want you to come a play with us!

I started off this week with the pattern papers - to make sure I stuck to the one shade thing, I pulled out a Papertrey Ink Pink Paper collection. Figured they were meant to go together and match so I would be safe to not stray to far off the target.

After I picked out a few of the pattern papers I decided that the paper patterns were perfect to paper piece a dress for Tilda - I dug back into my Magnolia box and found one of my old favorites that I have paper pieced in the past - her dress is perfect for cutting out and working well. I colored the "rest of " Tilda with my Copics.
I sewed down the different pattern papers with a shiny white thread. And then also used a Papertrey Ink ribbon as a band across the bottom. I didn't put a sentiment on this one... wasn't for sure what it would be a good card for, and thought maybe to just send a note to someone.

So now what color are you thinking of using? I do hope you will pop over and visit the Just Magnolia challenge site and join us! Another great prize again this week and of course fabulous cards from the rest of the DT -

HUGS and Happy Friday - see you tomorrow for Donkey and a special Libbie day :0)

Mo's Digital Challenge #4!!! Fancy Folds -

Wow!! It has been a month since Mo's Digital Challenge started up? Seriously! Time has just flown by this month! Well Sandy the October DT host has asked up to make fancy folds - anything other than the normal folding A2 card -

Now, somewhere is all of this mess - I have a pattern for some really neat folded cards. Since I found out about this challenge I just knew that was what my plan was - when I got a chance to sit down and work on my card - well I can't find it in any of the stacks.. boxes or piles of craft stuff! So I just had to wing something and I know this isn't very creative - but well... my MOJO seems to also be packed up!!

For my image I was so excited to use one of Mo's newest images. This is Friday's Child. Have you seen her children of the week images? Oh they are all wonderful! But this one just really jumped out to me - isn't she beautiful! I adore her dress - really fun to color. I used my Copics - and then Spica Glitter Pens.. hard to see in the photo I know, but she has a sparkle to her dress!

Now for the "folds"... I started with a standard 6x6 card stock base, then a second just the same and flipped in over so one opened to the left and one to the right. Does that make sense? I then cut out Friday's Child and attached her to the left fold. I then found a piece of cloud paper and attached it to the right fold. Both sides were cut out around the shapes.

On the clouds I used the Greeting Farms sentiment Whimsical Wishes - I doodled around the edges with a Spica Glitter pen and stickled the clouds.

For the inside of the card I used some new Cosmo Cricket papers - Earth Love. Really pretty collection, I got the 6x6 pad - may have to get another! I doodled the edge of it, added some buttons at the top, and the corner rounded the sentiment mats - and that sentiment....

Again from Greeting farm - I love it!

Now pop on over to Mo's Digital Challenge and see some really GREAT folded cards! Oh and in case you missed my post yesterday - there are links to some great free Mo's images!

Have a wonderful Thursday - me... we are suppose have lots of rain today - but Hubby and I are suppose to be inside working on the addition so we will be inside dry - I can see an light at the end of tunnel!!! This addition is going to be really wonderful in a very short time! I know I have been saying that for a while now.. but you know how these things go... :0)

Bella is hoppin ! Want Mo's Freebies???

Yep... at the end of this post there are links to free Mo images! But first a card....

Hi... this is such a fun image from Mo's Digital Pencil - Hoppin Happy I love working with all of Mo's images, and Bella and Bronte are just a small part of the wonderful images there -

I colored with my copics. Then her tutu was just calling out for some bling - so out came the stickles and I glittered it! Really sparkles in person.
For my card - I kept it simple - I loved the vibrant colors in the image and wanted it to pop on the card. And well.. I don't have a lot of my embellishments out where they are easy to work with! LOL still packed up so much waiting for the move. I used a white card stock as the base and then found more scraps from my stash. You know when you papers are all over the house and not around to use.. the scrap box become very useful! I took a piece of the white card stock and punched the edge - I took one of the patterns and cut it with my circle cutter - found it while moving stuff around - I am sure I will be using tools I haven't seen in over a year now! For a sentiment I just couldn't find the right size or saying. Then I remembered some Martha Stewart Ribbons I got on clearance, the green Congratulations was perfect - I ran it through the center of the image, and around the edge of the pattern paper.

So how many of Mo's images do you have now? Want some??? for free???? here is some info for you!!!

A Spoon Full of Sugar in the Kitchen!

This week Spoon Full of Sugar has a wonderfully fun challenge - a kitchen or cooking card. This gave me a chance to mix up some of my stamps! I knew I just had to use the stove from Alota Rubber Stamps, I just love it! I have so much fun coloring it. And just makes my "kitchen" card! Then I wanted to mix things up and pulled out one of the new Stampavie Sarah Kay Noel collection - very vintage and perfect match with the beautiful old stove. This is Noel Treats - and I thought she with her pretty little table full of presents and plates of yummie foods went well with the stove.

So I colored each of them with my Copics and then cut them out every so carefully. Now both of my pattern papers are scraps.. aren't you proud of me :0) Then again I don't know the name of the scraps.. but I am using up lots of scraps! I inked the edges, and then added a EK Success border punch across the bottom.
Then I added the sentiment from Greeting Farms - punched with the SU word window punch, and inked again. It needed just a bit of a home feel to it... so I used some off white twine and hand sewed some cross stitching on each side.

I like the old fashioned feel of this one - and now I can't wait to pop over to A Spoon Full of Sugar and see the rest of the DT cards and see what they "COOKED" up! LOL

Have a wonderful day - busy busy busy here... trying to get this room done is really getting to be a chore and things keep coming up that pushes everything off - we will get this done though!

Alota #21 Birgit's Clean And Simple Challenge

HI - happy Monday! I am trying remain positive here that the weekend is over already... LOL How about a Santa card? Alota Rubber Stamps has a brand new Santa.. that is just wonderful - and also a grand chair for him - along with children to sit in his lap and Mrs. Claus! But today I decided to just show off Santa - perfect for the Alota#21 challenge at PCP. Now this was a challenge to me - to make a "Clean and Simple" challenge - hmmmm no fluff.. no bling... no flowers... ok... this might hurt! LOL

I decided to go with a deep red card stock as my base - and then found a royal looking purple - love that color combo. That is how I went with my coloring of the chair - even though Hubby thought the chair should be green for Christmas. So I colored with my Copics to make everything have a deep dark rich look. After coloring I decided that Santa needed some fur for his coat. I don't have "white" Flower Soft, but I have off white - I don't think it looks too bad... white would have been better but had to work with what I had. So I glued on my "off white" Flower Soft and let it dry. Then I pop dotted Santa onto the chair to give him some depth.
Then I "ho ho ho" doodled around the edge of the image , matted on black card stock, then my layer of purple. It needed just a bit more... I know I know .. Clean and Simple - but really I just had to add at least one ribbon :0) so I found a purple that seemed to work and ran it as a band across the middle. ok... I guess.... It still had so much open space... Now this is where I heard myself telling a friend of mine, Tracey, who really had a hard time with lots of open space on her scrapbook pages... "it is ok... make peace with the open space" and then would all laugh... and here I sat staring at that open space and it was driving me nuts! So I doodled the edge with a white gel pen the same as I did around the image. Darn... wish I had just left it! It looked better as open space!! Oh well Tracey will probably call me down and tell me to do as I say! LOL!

So here sits Santa with a lot of Ho Ho Ho's - now how about you visiting the Alota Rubber Stamp PCP site and joining in on this "Clean and Simple" challenge. Great stamps up for grabs as the prize!! And let me tell you ... you join in a few weeks in a row and your chances go up for winning.. wink wink!

Have a great Day.. we are suppose to have some heavy rain today - good day to stay inside and work on sorting my craft stuff and cleaning out so it will all fit in my room -

A few Quick Donkey Day photos -

Hello and Happy Saturday - today I just have few quick photos I took the other day - I got home to late last night to take any others - and this morning Hubby put new hay bales in to feed - so all I would have gotten today was rear end views around the hay eating! LOL

First here is Gloria - grass is always greener on the other side of the fence. Also... you can see how long her hair fur is getting... I think it is going to be cold this winter! She is such a pretty dark brown girl!

Then Josie.. our tiniest little girl. Almost full grown and still 1/3 smaller than the rest of the youth her age. And sweet... OH if only you could hear her sweet little Hee Haw.. just melts my heart it is so high pitched and tiny sounding!
Then Ellie Mae - She is one of our first donkeys. The one that we have waited over 4 years for her to get pregnant. We still don't know if she is this year - some days we just think she is she has a "look" about her.. then other she doesn't - time will tell. And speaking of Hee Haws.. if I could tape one for you to hear this would be it - she is a screamer - seriously - sounds like a little girl screaming at the top of her lungs - no Heeing and Hawing - just a LOUD long scream! LOL Oh and the look of concentration... the neighbors dog was out side. And you have to keep a close eye on all dogs you know!

Patti - I call her "Patti Belle" .. Hubby calls her "Pitter Pat" they all have nick names, but Patti's we can't agree on! LOL She was grazing and I called her name, yes they know their names.. well when they want to know their names. Like children and Husbands - they only hear when they want to hear. I love the sun setting and the light on them. In the back ground you can see Diego and Lacey scratching each others backs. :0)
Now there isn't a Libbie photo this week - we had a bit of a messy dog this morning and she had to have a very early bath.... But you are just going to have to come back next Saturday!!!! I have something really special planned for Libbie's photo next week - YOU WILL NOT WANT TO MISS IT!!!!! ;0)

Hugs and have a wonderful weekend! Me... a little laundry, a little cleaning and sorting through my piles of stuff to start putting it into the craft room... It was suppose to be done by this weekend, but with Hubby being sick most of the week we are just a couple of days behind and today he had to work! Darn it! So hopefully this coming week he can get a few more days off and it will be all done!

Hugs again!

A wonderful Sketch for Just Magnolias Day!

Just Magnolia time! Friday already... whew! And today's Just Magnolia Challenge is a BEAUTIFUL sketch by DT member Martine. I fell in love with it as soon as I saw it - loved all the details.

While moving stuff around getting way to excited to move into my new craft room - I found a small collection of papers by Fiskars/Heidi Grace - and just loved how they went together. I planned the whole card around them and then went to look for a good Magnolia image. I just love her crocheted hat in this one - and she hasn't been inked up in a while so... she was my choice this week.

Colored her with my Copics and high lighted her with white gel pen, then cut her out with my Nesties along with a pink card stock mat. Then doodled the edges. I then used ribbon for the band on the left, and my sentiment is from The Greeting Farm - And then.. the mulberry roses.....

I have seriously gone overboard with these.. I just love them... I blame Bev my fellow Just Magnolias DT member, I adore her work - and just had to have some of them after drooling over hers on her cards - order LOTS of them in LOTS of colors, even the little rose buds here... But I will admit - they do make it hard to mail these cards don't they? LOL Oh well they go in boxes well!

Hope you enjoyed my card today - And do pop over and visit the Just Magnolia's Challenge and see all the other DT's wonderful cards with Martines fabulous sketch!

HUGS and happy Friday!

Mo's Digital Challenge with NO CARDS!

OH my I get so excited on Thursdays now! It is MO's Digital Challenge day! I have fallen head over heals in love with Mo's stuff - have you been there to see her stuff! I am sure you have... but if not pop over HERE and take a look and see... bet you go nuts too!

Now to this week's challenge - we were asked to make anything but a card! Now sometimes that really stumps me. As I am just the last couple of months learning how to do 3-d things and make things other than a "normal" card. Well I went through my MO's digital folder to decide which image I wanted to use... I have just started my collection... so I don't have a whole bunch. Folder is growing though! Well my first and one of my favorites images called out - Sumpin's Wrong. Is this just the cutest baby or what?

Now one of the great things about Digital's I am finding is that you can make it the size you need. And I went large on this one. (And colored with my Copics)

This is a gift bag. A chipboard bag that I purchased a few weeks ago. I liked that it is hard sided. I covered it with some of my favorite papers.. DCWV Nanna's baby boy Nursery. I sanded and inked the edges with purple ink. And then ran ribbon across the two patterns of paper, then lace across the top. I untied the handles and added large eyelets - looked more finished. Then I added three mulberry purple roses and some Martha Stewart frond leaf punches.
I added some gift bag filler into the bag - loved how it picked up all the purple cuz it is clear. And you can see.. perfect size for bottles as gifts :0)

Now please do visit the Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge and see the wonderful items that the DT came up with!!! And join us with our fun! If you don't have any of MO's images... it is instant gratification to purchase them... you can be coloring in minutes!

Craft room update!!!! The flooring went in yesterday!!!! It is so gorgeous! Hubby really has spoiled me! Now just the walls and a bit of trim work and I am in!!! Have a wonderful Thursday!

A spooky MichJay Challenge this month!

Time for the Monthly MichJay Challenge! Every month on the 20th my Buddy JayJay and I take turns challenging each other to make a 3-D item - out of the box by making some sort of box you may say! This month was JayJay's turn - and she went all Spooky and Halloween on me :0) She asked me to make a coffin!

She sent me a template she found a while back on the Internet for free.. I don't know where from sorry - Maybe JayJay will let us know.. LOL I cut it out and put it all together.. wow.. it really looks like a coffin! I used a dark brown ink and roughed it up a bit. The top needed just a bit more.. so I found a piece of Basic Grey paper that had spider web pattern, and tore the edges to fit on top of the "coffin". For the image I knew I just had to use one of Alota Rubber Stamps new Halloween Trick or Treats they are a really cute set of kids.. and the Dracula that was just perfect!

I found three very old Prima flowers that looked pretty Halloween-ish to me - I centered them with sugared brads and then added some Martha Stewart black card stock branch punches, and then a Happy Halloween ribbon.

Are you brave enough to look inside of the coffin???

mmm Candy Corn... well Hubby says mmm - I can take them or leave them not one of my favorite candies.

Don't forget to visit my Buddy JayJay - I can't wait to see what her "Coffin" looks like! And if you would like to join in on our personal challenge please shout out and let me know I would love to see your stuff too!

Hope you have a wonderful Wednesday!!

A sweet image for Spoon full of Challenge!

Tuesdays are for A Spoon Full of Sugar Challenge!

This weeks sponsor is Elizabeth - Soft pencil digital stamps and she shared some of her digital stamps with us to play with this week!

I chose this cute little girl on the cupcake - colored with my copics and used stickles to bling the frosting! I doodled around the edge of the image -

For the card we have a sketch by Dt member Debbie - cute sketch and perfect for these images.

I used again the Core'dinations Vintage card stock - been on a roll with them lately. I then used a piece of DCWV heavy pattern paper with lots of glitter sparkle to it! Scraps of yellow card stock were used as mats - The sentiment is from Hero Arts, punched the bottom of it with EK Success Zig Zag border.

There are some really adorable cards this week at Spoon Full of Sugar Challenge! Make sure to visit us and play! Lots of wonderful prizes!

Ok.. wow that was a long post today - hope you enjoyed it... totally different challenges projects huh?

Have a wonderful Tuesday! Me... working around the house and on a few projects! oh and taking care of a sick Hubby.. why is it men with colds are such babies? :0)

Stampavie Challenge goes Spooky!

Hello - it is time for the Stampavie DT Blog challenge! And this week JayJay has asked us to create a Halloween card with any Stampavie image. hmmm now that is a challenge! At least it was for me. :0) I really stressed on this one!

I went through every image... and really was stumped for a while, then I decided to create a background with an Alota Rubberstamp image - The Spooky house was perfect - then I found the Sarah Kay Time for Apple Pie - now for this card I am thinking she is out trick or treating and has gathered a bunch of candied apples... hey it is my imagination, and that is where it was going.. LOL But it needed something more - so I pulled out Rachelle Anne Miller's Hoo Hoo There image! Owls watching down on her was perfect! I colored everything with my Copics.. cut out the Sarah Kay and the RAM Owls and went to work on the card.

I used a Core'dinations Vintage orange card stock for the base. With a black card stock on that that I sewed with orange thread. A scrap of the new Basic Grey Halloween paper was perfect to mat the house image with.
I pop dotted the SK and the RAM images on the card - and then added some Martha Stewart branch punches to the owls. Instead of a sentiment I used some of the last of some Happy Halloween ribbon. I actually was pretty happy with how it turned out - especially for how much I stressed about it for days! Whew... a harder challenge, but really fun!

Do pop over and see the other DT creations! Imaginations were really used here and they all came out so fun and wonderful! Then pull out your Stampavie images and give this a go yourself! REALLY do try - cuz the "secret prizes" have been wonderful! You just have to win to see for yourselves!

Gotta run.. Hubby is sick.. sigh - so lots of whining, and taking care of him. And also my craft room with just have to be put on hold until he is feeling better.. poor guy just doesn't do sick well at all... but I don't really know a man that does! LOL!
