High Hopes Stamps- Snowman Sled

Howdy -

This week for High Hopes Stamps I felt a little country for a Seasons Greetings - This is Snowman Sled

Love how warm this Snowman is! Can a Snowman be warm? Well he is! I colored with my Copics (colors below) and then added some dots of Nuvo White for some depth. And then Nuvo sparkle for the dots on the sled.

I used papers from MOD that had that warm winter feeling, and sewed down all the layers onto a kraft card stock base. A Brown and White gingham ribbon around the middle and then the new High Hopes Sentiment "Seasons Greetings" is perfect for my country feeling card!

Animal Crackers - Enjoying the Sun!

Howdy -

Enjoying the sun! We have had so much cloudy drizzle rainy weather that when the sun came out the last couple of days... well my fur kids have taken advantage of it and really enjoyed it!

First up my old lady goat Paintbrush..

She was chillin' up on her private deck - I really think she was smiling while I was talking to her. She is such a sweet lady. A total love! And really enjoying the sun here! And she is smiling right?

I found Crissy out finishing up some left over hay from breakfast...

She is so pretty.. even if she was chewing with her mouth open... sigh.. not lady like there Crissy!

Alice was laying up on top of one of the huts.

The perfect place for some sun bathing... all though I think she was pretty much asleep when I go there...

Darlene seemed to be pretty comfortable as well.. in her "bed" of breakfast hay.

She stretched out her legs, rolled a bit, yawned and then got up and wanted back into the large pen with all her girlfriends. Private time is so nice, but having someone there to scratch your back is really nice too.....

She went through the gate and straight up to Macie and I heard a .. Hey BFF you scratch my back I'll scratch yours.... Love these Donkey Hugs!!!

Irene... she found a stick to help out with her itch it seems...

oh... yea.. that must have been the perfect spot there and felt really good!

Found Willie and Waylan chillin' a bit... my sweet boys... now they have become stinky "men"

Well teenagers.. but same thing. STINKY! LOL

One last photo... Nature!

Now my Hubby is a super man - takes care of me and all our fur and feathered children... My Superman has one Kryptonite.....

He really really really dislikes Walking Sticks. Saves every bug and spider he finds wouldn't hurt a fly... but a Walking Stick... HE NO LIKEY! LOL This little cute guy was on the wall on our back porch... I am so proud... Hubby got around it and made it inside safely and left him to live. He is such a sweet guy! LOL

Whimsy Stamp - Blessings

Howdy -

I needed a simple and fast card for someone - I have a hard time doing simple, but wanted something not cute if that makes sense, and it had to mail easily.

So I went with some Whimsy die cuts and digital papers.

First I used the Whimsy Digital Paper from the Christmas Azure Paper Collection. Love the winter feel and the blue colors. I matted it with the Whimsy Double Scallop die, love this retired die. Then the Doodled Doily die Circle. And then for the sentiment "Blessings" from the "Peaceful" Word Set. LOVE these word dies!

I added some puffy doodled stitches around the edge. Not sure about that.. but there it is. Love how the digital and dies make things fast.. and that was what I needed.

Have a blessed weekend.

Howdy -

Today I pulled out a ole' favorite for Christmas Cards - How can you not fall in love with Santa on a Motor Bike? This is Motorin' by Santa ...

First I colored with my Copics (colors below) and then for all that fur and beard I added some Marvy Snow Marker and heated it up to puff! I think I have been become addicted.. LOL I found papers from Paper Studio and Red and Black cardstock to layer up . I sewed all the layers together. Then for a sentiment I pulled out "Here comes Santa Claus!" from High Hopes Stamps.. PERFECT!

Close up of the fur and beard with the Marvy Snow Marker!

Animal Crackers - Head Over Heels in Love...

Howdy -

We are Head Over Heels in Love with ALVIN!!! Our newest family member and the new Buck on the property!

Now we have been talking about a new blood line here with the goats for awhile. Peso does give us adorable babies.. but well... mostly boys. And Waylan will be a future Buck here soon. But when a friend called and asked if we could rehome a Buck... well it didn't take us long to decided we needed to hurry and build a new Buck pen and find a way to bring this guy home. Now we worries some when bringing an adult furry family member here. You really don't know what kind of personality you will be getting. And with a Buck that can bring some worries. But I was assured that not only is he gorgeous but super sweet. And I don't think that really goes far enough to tell you about Alvin.

This guy is a LOVE. He reminds me SO much of Frankie.. just in Red and White instead of Black and White. He is super friendly and just loves attention, even if you don't have treats in your pocket! A real looker too don't you think?

He love close ups.. which is a challenge when trying to get good photos! But oh my he is so wonderful. And I can't wait to see what future babies he gives us! Now we won't leave Peso out this fall... but Alvin... well he will be seeing a few ladies real soon!

Even Raffie has taken to Alvin!

These two neighbors get along great and have even shared some hay between their fences.

And as for Alvin and his new Bachelors Pad...

The Man Loves it... Especially with all the nasty rain and drizzle this last week. That porch on the front of his private quarters has become his favorite spot to hang out. He lays up there and can see over to the girls pen. He chats and talks all the time to them ... I can hear it.. "Hey Baby.. check out my top floor pad here... " WE are SO in Love with Alvin! Thank you Susan... he will be adored and cared for forever here! And will see lots of girls to entertain and provide us with adorable babies in the future!!

One more shot this week I just had to share... to funny to not. Hubby and I did a little shopping this week. And when we came home and were taking items out of the bag... well someone decided we were not paying enough attention to her.

Gato jumped in the bag and stuck her head through the handle! Sat down and just made herself comfortable. Now Bags are not Toys... it says so right on the bottom of the bag. So before she was told that this was not a suitable place to take up her cuteness.. I just had to snap a photo... Kitty Gato does keep us on our toes !

Hope you have a wonderfully blessed weekend - Hug a furry or feathered friend!

Whimsy Stamps - Jack

Howdy -

Today for Whimsy digital stamps I am playing with a new image "JACK" from CC Designs. Now when I make a Halloween card I go more silly and cheerful. And with these new images available in the Whimsy Stamp Digital Store  it is instant fun!

This is Jack -

Isn't he cute? I colored with my Copics (colors below) and then found some fun colorful papers from My Minds Eye that have LOTS of glitter and sparkle to them. I layered up papers and then cut out an oval with the Whimsy  Basic Stitched Ovals Die set. Love the detail these dies have around the edges. I then layered the image up with the oval and then for a sentiment I went with more fun.. A Whimsy word die "Smiles" cuz how can you not have smiles with a giant Jack-o-lantern on your head?
Then for just a bit more fun I dotted the corners with Nuvo Black for a little pin looking embellishment.

High Hopes Stamps - North Pole Penguin

Howdy -

Another new release image from High Hopes Stamps! This cutie is "North Pole Penguin" and he looks like he has a few Christmas packages all wrapped up for his gifts this season.

I colored with my Copics (colors below) and then that Marvy Snow marker was sitting on my desk and it was just crying out for some puffy snow of this card! Love this stuff! I found a piece of red and white striped paper from Paper Studio for that candy cane look and decided that it matched up perfectly with the gift and the pole... so I went with it. Kept things simple with a few dots of Nuvo Black in the corners and left it at that.

High Hopes Stamp - New Release! Bear and Mountain

Howdy -

There is a new release today at High Hopes Stamps! The Woodsy Christmas Release! And for my first card I decided to play with two of the stamps... Bear and Mountains! Creates a fun scene don't you think?

Now when I first saw this bear ... I was thinking brown bear... but then with the Mountains as a background and feeling a bit chilly I decided this was for sure a polar bear... Right? LOL I colored up the mountains, and cut out the paper to fill the card. Then I colored the polar bear and cut him out, and pop dotted him on the card with a piece of patterned paper from My Minds Eye. Then for the fun. To play with some snow! I LOVE Marvy Snow Markers! I added it and then heated up to puff up the snow!

For the sentiment I used the new "Hello Winter" perfect for this card and perfect timing here in my area! First cold front of the year! Hello Winter!!!

Close up of the snow and the popped up bear!

Animal Crackers - What are You Smiling At?

Howdy -

ok... the first photo today is just to make you grin big time!

Our little Bantam Rooster Red - So little and yet so big and tough! How can I love and hate something so much? I love this little guy, but most of the time he keeps me from going into the large chicken pen due to fear of an attack. LOL I am kidding. But lets just say no one ever goes in wearing shorts, or flip flops! He is just so fierce! At least he thinks... LOL He is in reality hysterical!!

And now look at this face... Miss Belle. Is that a sly grin or what?

My simple Belle. She always looks at me with that grin and those front teeth showing.

And speaking of grins..

Miss Chica - I adore that face. A bit pycho.. but pure love. Sweet little Chica has had her allergies kick up again this last week. I hate that Chica and Libbie have skin allergies... We have narrowed it down and think it is certain times of the year with grasses. Not a good thing when you are so low to the ground. So Chica has a smelly medicine lotion on her back in this photo. Seems to be making her feel better with that smile. Then again she is pretty much happy all the time. And if not.. just say "Cookie" or "Green Beans" and she is grinning from ear to ear!

While roaming around I had a shadow part of the time. Old Lady Darlene was in her private area around the chicken coops. She loves her private alone area... and calls out when ready to come into it or join her girlfriends in the larger pen. And she has a very loud long moaning call out!

Sometimes it is a couple of hours after finishing her "old donkey" feed. And others she is happy for a couple of days. Depends on the grass growing, how much she has to tell the goats, chickens and Black Jack, who all neighbor her private area. I love this old lady so much! 26 years really isn't an old lady though...

Now is there anything better than a really good dirt bath?

Oh yea... roll around really good and get that dirt in all those feathers!

Some of the other chickens were just enjoying the breeze and a nice afternoon chillin'

Such lazy ladies! But that is ok most of the time they are just so busy!

One last photo....

Hubby has been working on a new hut... Something... or Someone new is coming.... he he he You will have to wait until next week to find out who...

Hope you have a wonderful weekend - Hug a furry or feather friend!

Whimsy Digital Stamps - Pretty Girl Happy Mail

Howdy -

Today for Whimsy Stamps I had some fun coloring up "Pretty Girl Happy Mail" Don't you love when all the mail is happy mail? Christmas time is especially wonderful to receive all those wonderful Holiday wishes!

I colored up this Pretty Girl with my Copics (colors below) and then because every winter coat and hat needs a little bling on the hat and coat I added Nuvo glitter. My background of this pretty girl is printed in with the image! I LOVE using digital images and doing this!

My pattern papers are all from My Minds Eye - I sewed down the layers with a zig zag stitch. A background die cut from Spellbinders add some pretty scrolling behind don't you think? Then for the sentiment I used the Whimsy Stamps word die "Heartfelt" from the "Sympathy Heartfelt Condolences" set. Great size to these three words in this set!

My copic colors used -

High Hopes Stamps - Cool Claude - Too Cool!

Howdy -

Today for High Hopes Stamps I pulled out Cool Claude for some fun! He is just TOO COOL! LOL

I thinks he pulls of the Cool Guy... perfectly! I colored Claude with my Copics (colors below) and then added some Marvy Snow Marker for some realistic snow and then some Nubo Clear for his glasses and ear muffs. He is just too cute don't you think? I found papers in my stash and matted everything in black card stock.

The layers are sewn together and then dots of Black Nuvo for the corners.

Close up of that fabulous "snow"

I just love this guy!
