High Hopes Stamps - I've Got the Moosic in me!!

Howdy -

Hope you all had an amazing Christmas! Now we are all gearing up for the New Year - and I thought that High Hopes Party Cow was just perfect to end 2015 and bring in 2016!

"I've got the moosic in me!" Now that is a Party Cow!! I colored with my Copics and then found some perfect paper from Farm House Paper. Some older Bazzil Navy blue dotted swiss card stock and cream card stock just matched up well. I matted the cow with the dotted swiss card stock, and found a corner punch in my drawer to hold the cow in place. You know those Party Cows they will try and Mooooove around! (I know really bad huh?) While digging in my punch drawer I found a Fiskars punch with music notes... wow didn't remember I had that one and it was perfect for the embellishments. The High Hope sentiment "I've got the moosic in me!" is just the perfect match for the Party Cow.

Inside more of the same papers and musically note punches.

Animal Crackers - Merry Christmas

Howdy-

And Very Merry Christmas from all of us here ...

I thought I would first share this years Christmas Card. Now I will admit this is the latest that I have ever done my cards. I was mailing them out just a few days before Christmas this year. Now next year I really need to get them going earlier and out much earlier!

I do hope that you all had a wonderful day - Libbie enjoyed her Christmas present....

All three doggies got new beds for Christmas, and Chica and Autie have used their beds too... just not like Miss Libbie, she LOVES it!

Now everyone else has been a bit lazy this week. Warm weather and they have been really enjoying it.

Sandy was out cold snoozing....

Well until she heard me and then she popped up and was up and calling out for attention and scratching.

Guineas were still eating but was still being a bit lazy....

The boy goats were really were lounging in their new pen, but by the time I got to them to snap... they were up and running.

Hank is such a sweetheart. Love that guy.

Not too many photos this week. Holiday and all... but looking forward to a New Year coming up and LOTS more Animal Crackers to share!

High Hopes Stamps - Christmas Cookies

Howdy -

Wanted to get one more Christmas Card in for the year! And one with cookies would make the best to end with right?

This is High Hopes Stamps "Mr. & Mrs. Claus" and it looks like Mrs. Claus has been doing some baking. She is ahead of me Still have that to do on my list this week.

Do you think they know that little elf is swiping a cookie? I colored with my Copics and added lots of Rangers Diamond stickles for some sparkle. I sewed all the layers down on some scrap Christmas papers on my desk. All the layers are matted on Green or red card stock.

For the sentiment I found another great High Hopes! "Celebrate the Magic of Christmas"

The inside of my card is more of the same papers -

And my Copic colors used -

Your Next Stamp - Winter

Howdy -

Today is my last project as Guest DT with Your Next Stamp (YNS) - I have had so much fun playing with a few of their great stamp sets. And now have a very serious addiction to their Gumdrops! (placed my order to make sure I have plenty!) LOL

Now the feature day today has the theme of winter. Now I wasn't sure how to play with winter, but then decided that with the new Java Geek stamp set and some winter colors I went for it.

I stamped out three of the coffee cups and colored with my Copics (colors below) Matched up with some papers from Kaisercraft's Madame Boutique collection. I sewed down the layers with a zig zag stitch and straight stitch. Then I found a white ribbon to use as a band... now I know it isn't white here. I colored it with one of the Copic's to match! Love doing that. For my die cut sentiment I used YNS's Scripty Words Die Set. Really fabulous set with 5 great useful dies.  Then a few more of those yummy Gumdrops!

Inside more of the same papers.

I really had a lot of fun with the Your Next Stamp team and want to thank all of them for letting me join in!

Animal Crackers - Celebrating Eleanore!

Howdy -

This week we have been celebrating Eleanore this week!! Doing the happy dance each evening when going out to get the eggs.

Our girl has started laying eggs again! It has been months since she layed even one egg. And this week we have gotten 5!! So proud of her. Now if the other gals will follow her lead maybe we will get back on track and I will not have to purchase eggs much longer!

When coming home the other day we drove past the boys pen and decided that they just needed some Lovin' and  scratching!

Hubby has really done wonders with out little cautious boy Flavio. He is very friendly now with us. Still a little nervous with strangers, but doing great. And then there is Diego. My very first baby all those years ago... he knows NO strangers and is always friendly! Pushy friendly!

Speaking of friendly... Love my boy Autie -

Those big brown eyes just melts my heart! Love this guy so much.

As well as Miss Libbie -

She is doing pretty good. Learned how to cope with her vision issues. Still beautiful. Still a love.

Gracie is pretty wide. And spends most of the day lounging in the sun. And that is ok, as long as I get those gorgeous babies Gracie!!

So anxious for those babies with her! Third time working to get her pregnant, so third time has to be the charm!

Now I just don't have any words for this one of Jackie....

Snapped her photo just in that perfect moment I guess. I don't think my little girl would purposely stick her tongue out at me.. I don't think... LOL

Sweet Pea was peeking over one of the huts...

I think she is getting really tired of checking to see if she is showing any signs of all of having her baby.. I do hope she took. Pretty little one, little skittish, but beautiful.

Hope you got a smile this week. And hope that you have a wonderful week here before Christmas. Man it has come so fast this year! Me... off to mail those late Christmas cards and a few errands. Hope the crowds aren't too bad!

YNS - Sketch Color Challenge!! HANG ON!

Howdy -

Today I am joining in on the Your Next Stamp (YNS) Sketch / Color Challenge - Now for the challenge you can join in on one or the other.. sketch or color. I was trying to pull of both. Not to sure if I accomplished it but it was fun trying!

For my image I went with a few more stamps from the Word Critters Collection.  There are SO MANY stamps in this collection. These two little kitties really gave me a grin. And that sentiment is just perfect with the cats. I colored with my Copics (colors below). Papers from Graphic 45 with card stock to match the challenge. I sewed down the layers and kept it all simple like the sketch.

Inside more of the same papers and another sentiment from the collection.

Copic colors used -

High Hopes Stamps - Santa Claus is Coming to Town!

Howdy -

Well Christmas is coming up really fast! And Santa is changing his mode of transportation this year!

This is "Flyin' High Santa" One of my favorite Santa images! I colored with my Copics (colors below) and then found some papers in my scraps to use with him. I found a great pattern paper from I think DCWV has lots of glitter to it. I loved the tree pattern paper but it was just too many trees and too busy with my image, so I cut out a few trees and added them to my card. Then a sentiment "Santa Claus is Coming to town!" works great with this Santa. Sewed down all the layers.

Inside I did the same as the front -

Animal Crackers - Can you say no to those smiling faces?

Howdy -

How can you not get a little evening treat out when those faces are calling out to you?

Yesterday evening Hubby and I were out talking while I was snapping photos. We were discussing the chickens.... sigh... more about that in a minute. But while we were trying to talk we had LOTS of noise. And LOTS of eyes glaring at us. Here are five of the girls trying to get Hubby's attention as they were HUNGRY! LOL ok they probably weren't starving but really just wanted some treats. They are too funny and as they know Hubby so well... they ended up getting a treat of some feed last night cuz they were so cute.

We are still on standby waiting for babies... Chloe is probably going to be first of my pregnant ladies to have her kids. She is actually the only one to show any signs of getting close to delivering. All though Gracie and Sweat Pea are first time Mom's so they may not show hardly any signs. But Chloe, she is getting pretty large and her milk bag is getting pretty full!

She always has such beautiful babies, one of the reasons we haven't ever sold her despite her cautious unfriendly personality. I will say though Hubby has really been working with her and she is getting much sweeter and actually will allow some head scratching at her discretion of course. I am flipping out waiting for babies though! Hurry up Chloe!

Ted E. Bear found us outside and that means there is a chance for a peppermint and at least some scratching behind those adorable ears. No peppermints in our pockets this time Ted. Just lovin' besides it isn't good to always have the mints... too much sugar and too pushy of donkey isn't good!

Cocoa just stood back and watch from a distance. She might have made her way to us for the mint, but if no mint she was just heading to the barn for a little afternoon nap before she made the rounds after the sun goes down. She has her regular routine to keep -

Cocoa lady is starting to get a little grey isn't she. Still stunning and loved - :0)

Now back to those chickens. We need lots of egg chants out there!!!

You see Hubby is starting to get really frustrated with the girls.

We went from 1-2 eggs a day to NOTHING for the last week! NOTHING ZERO ZIP~!! He says they will be coming to dinner if they don't start laying. I just don't understand it. We have hung lights, coops have been all cleaned, Oyster Shell out for them, molting is all done... WHAT IS THE PROBLEM??? And we have been checking the coops at all time of day to watch for snakes and.. so that isn't it either. The older 5 chickens I have put up with their not laying for a while, but the 7 younger girls were just getting going and then now suddenly nothing! I know the shorter days thing... that is why we hung the lights. I do hope they start laying soon. I can't and won't let Hubby "invite" them to dinner but also can't spend what I am feeding them just as pets... what am I saying we have tons of pets... but you know what I mean.

I asked him what about his "buddy" Leon.....

He said Leon was perfectly safe as he doesn't lay eggs he is a "dude" and safe from dinner.  What??? If anything he is the largest thing to roast out there in the coops... but nope his bud is "too cool" to even think about that. Well my girls are just as cool and we just need to figure out why they have decided to stop production around here!!!

Hope you have some fun planned for your weekend. Rainy weekend is forecasting here again, I am thinking a day inside finishing up my Christmas cards is a must.

Have a blessed weekend!
