High Hopes Stamps - Angel Bear Clown

Howdy

This week for High Hopes Stamps I went with one of the really "cute" halloween image. This adorable guy is "Angel Bear Clown" And I think he is going to fill up with candy as cute as he is!

Cute right? I colored with my Copics and then went back with Viva Decor Glitter pen and Ranger Stickles for lots of dimension and bling on his costume. And of course those wings! Papers in my stash from Fancy Pants that just had fun fall colors are cut and then sewn down with straight and zig zag stitches. The sentiment is also from High Hopes Stamps "Happy Halloween" love the cursive font! Then for just a little more fun I added a few small enamel dots. I just love enamel dots don't you?

Copic colors used -

Animal Crackers - Procrastination

Howdy -

Procrastinating - most of the time I can do a bit of procrastinating and still work things out and get things done... but yesterday well... all morning I need to go out and take photos. Kept working, switch laundry, work some more, get lost in sorting cool old items to sell... I need to go out and take photos... Mom calls... No problem I will go out as soon as we talk. We Talk ... We Talk... We talk... why is it getting so dark? Oh my is that thunder... uh Mom it is pour down rain! LOL That is a pop up thunderstorm. Darn it ... photos are going to not be good! Everyone will be hiding or soaking wet! LOL OH well it cooled it off and we never complain about rain right? So after the rain paused for a bit I ran out to see if I could find anyone to pose for me.

First I headed over to Big Al... Big Al ALWAYS will come for lovings! He is now living in one of the big boy pens. Lots of room to run around and lots of grass! He is LOVING it! So much so that even during the thunderstorm he refused to come in! He was soaked!

Normally during the rain he is in the hut, nice and dry. He would pay no attention to me and was happily munching and pulling weeds. Now the Standards, the three stooges were not far from the side of his pen, and I think it made him feel all grown up to be out grazing with the "big" donkeys. LOL Yeah.. I won't take offense and get sad that he wouldn't come to me, right? Teenagers...

Now Black Jack has moved into the smaller pen for a while. Good for Big Al to spread out and even better for Black Jack as he is needing a bit more geriatric care and feeding lately. He is an old man and some days it really shows on how he gets around.

Now yesterday he was having a pretty good day... so much so that he was following me around nudging me and letting me know that the bowl on the ground... you see it... yes that one there... uh it is empty. Maybe you can get me more of that super yummy "old people food". Sorry Black Jack one bowl in the morning one bowl at night. It must really be good he normally isn't one to beg for food. Happy with hay or grass. But this stuff ... mmmmm. Doesn't look that yummy to me but he loves it! LOL

Just about then I heard Spec take a short flight up to the top of her hut. She is getting up in age for a chicken, but still stunning and has lots of personality.

She is one of the only chickens that "Dad" will let come out of the coop while he is feeding. She doesn't go far and as soon as the feed hits the ground she is back in, but she is trusted. The others are total bird brains and you never know where they are going! ha!

Went over to check on the girl goats after that. There was still the occasional rain drop and it was still thundering. So there was really no one in sight. Then from around one of the huts came old lady Chloe.

She made her way all the way over to me and gave me this sweet look. I think that was a so nice to see you I love you Mom how about some head scratches. yes that is it. I loved all over her. So sweet... when I walked away she grunted and gave me a look... Yeah I know you really wanted some fresh dry hay. What she had was wet... Sorry girl loving is all I have for you, even though those eyes just melt me.

Speaking of eyes that melt... I had come inside and this was waiting just inside the back door.

Chica LOVES to go outside - run, bark at everything, see if the outdoor cats have left any cat food to sneak.. then run and bark again. UNLESS... it is raining. Girl hates to go out when it is raining. Autie... he doesn't care he will march out and take his time no matter what. But this little girl hates it. Well she had to go out. I knew she had to go and I made her. She got a tiny bit wet... oh my she wasn't happy with me. Look at her just so sad she had to get wet. She was fine as soon as I rubbed all over her including her wet belly. She was happier then. Then I said one word.. "Cookie" and all is forgiven and she was doing her pogo stick jumps and all happy again. Love this silly girl.

Here is another girl we love - I took early yesterday morning out the back window. That fence is from the backyard to the rest of the property. Where Cocoa has the run of things. This is her every morning spot... as soon as the sun comes up she positions herself right in front of the gate.

You see if you are in front of the gate you will not get missed for breakfast. You have to be fed first just to get you out of the way. LOL - SMART! But seriously "Dad" has never forgotten you Cocoa.

One last photo - I have named this pretty creature "Satellite" -

This is a golden orb - very common here they are all over the property. And they are master web spinners. And I guess you can figure out where this one has spun her trap? She has an elaborate structure from the house to the satellite dish - huge and impressive. Even if you don't like spiders you have to give them credit for all the work they do and their talent. They have their job in nature and they take it seriously. Just glad I am a little higher on the food chain and not the object of that web!

Hope you enjoyed this week - got a smile even if it is a little rained on.
Have a very blessed weekend

High Hopes Stamps - Witchy Ride

Howdy -

This week I am flying in with another great Halloween image from High Hopes Stamps! No this isn't me on the broom - LOL This is "Witchy Ride" and I think she is just too cute.

She must be a really good "flyer" on that broom! Carrying her kitty, a bird, pumpkin and a BAT! WOW! I colored with my Copics (colors below) and found some fun Making Memories papers in purple and green colors. And then matted and put on a black card stock. Sewing down the image with a crazy zig zag stitch. She was really fun to color. And then for her background I used a circle nestie to color a "moon" and then the dark night sky. The sentiment is PERFECT for the image it is High Hopes Stamps "Take Flight" - I punched out with an EK Success punch and then colored around with a black copic for a faux mat look. Then just for some fun I found some bright green enamel dots - just love enamel dots !

Copic colors used -

Animal Crackers - Beards blowing in the Breeze

Howdy -

AJ was really trying hard to get attention and get some head scratches or maybe he was just wanting to be the lead photo this week? Whatever I was more than happy to oblige with the head scratches of course. He is just so handsome. This guy has become a copy of his Dad Alvin  - personality and looks.

Funny how different his twin brother Chipmunk is from him. Oh he is friendly and just a handsome, but totally different in coloring. He is dark and dapper - LOL

I think he knows just how good looking he is - And that beard is just stunning in the wind.

Now Louise and I tried to have a conversation about her beard. I just don't think it is lady like to drag your beard in the dirt, now is it?

She was paying no attention to me at all... kept on eating. Just not lady like at all!

Now this isn't a perfect picture cuz I had to do some major zooming here.. but it was just too cute to not try and capture!

Kitten "Shadow" was taking an afternoon nap in the shadows! This is his favorite place to nap... yep around the leg of the goat hut. Most of the time all you can see is his tiny hiney and back legs, but this time I got a little look of this cute face too!

Speaking of cute face.. my poor sweet baby boy Autie. Can you tell he isn't feeling 100% here?

My baby boy was bad this week and got in the trash... and that went horribly wrong. He found a sharp cat food lid and cut himself. Normally they can't even get into the trash with our safety lid but somehow they pulled it over. Oh my was so scary and stressed me to the limit. And we won't even go into the horror he trailed all around the house. Took me a while to get him calmed down and the bleeding to stop. But finally he was laying at my feet and sleeping.... with his fur a mess and big tears dried on his face. And mine too... I was so upset that he was scared and hurting. He is about 90% back to himself now, he actually was sniffing at the garbage again the next day if you can believe that. Thats my boy... But no more getting in the garbage can!

Thought I should show off one of Hubby's pots of flowers - he does have a green thumb -

These are Vincas - and are going strong. The are so brilliant and bright. So pretty -

Last photo is just too cool -

Now don't mind the construction  - it is a never ending thing in our area. Hubby and I were heading home one evening this week and saw this amazing rain storm... it appeared to have just come across our area... we didn't get as much as we were hoping out of it as hard as it looked like but it was a nice shower. And really impressive to watch move across the horizon.

I hope you enjoyed this week - Had a lot of things going on but always love to show off my fur babies -

High Hopes Stamps - Angel Bear Pumpkin

Howdy -

This month is all about fall cards at High Hopes Stamps - If only we could color up some cooler fall weather! But do love working with the fall colors - Today I colored Angel Bear Pumpkin  He is so cute!

I found a few fall papers in my scraps and colored up Angel Bear with Copics (colors below) and then cut out with an oval stitched die. Sewing all the layers down with my sewing machine and then topped off with the High Hopes Stamps sentiment "If Friends Were Pumpkins" I think Angel Bear matches up perfect with that! For embellishment I added Nuvo Glitter Pen for the wings.

Copic colors used -

A sweet Fall card to send to a Friend! For more great fall images pop over to the High Hopes Stamps website HERE

Animal Crackers - Blind but Beautiful!

Howdy,

She may be blind but she is still totally beautiful. My old lady Libbie -

She has had some tummy issues the last week - She was lying on the floor totally taking in all the sounds and I got down to discuss things with her and tell her how sorry I was she wasn't feeling well. Not sure if she got into something or just her sensitive stomach, but whatever its been tough keeping food down. She is doing better so hopefully it is all out of her system now. Totally blind but she still is the one in control of our household! She has control of my heart for sure! Beautiful!

Spent early one morning this week out with the girls. Well some of the girls. With all the green grass in the back pasture about 1/2 of them had made their way out early to do some morning grazing. But for my slower ladies I got some loving time and took a few photos while out there. They are just so beautiful  -

Ellie Mae was hanging out finishing up some hay they had for breakfast. Her eyes are so pretty, and she has long slender ears. But she is more famous around here for her voice. She is my screamer - some have thought she sounds more like a screaming toddler than a donkey - I love it. I hear her while in the house and I know exactly who is out there talking.

Miss Irene - She is one of my bigger miniature donkeys - in size and attitude. LOL oh she is a sweetheart - just a bit pushy with some of the other girls.

She is named after my Grandma - I know she would have gotten a huge giggle out it. Especially that she is so pretty -

And speaking of pretty.. beautiful.. and sweet. Old Macie. Her eyes just melt me. She is so loving!

While out there she was really following me around and wanting attention. She is much more aggressive about attention when most of the other ladies are not around. Slow and Timid and gorgeous!

Did you say gorgeous??? Juliet thinks she is all that!

Heck I know Juliet... you have your own fan club so you MUST be special! he he... She is -  we all know it. Right?

As I was making my way back to the house I saw Miss Crissy napping. Ok... she was totally out!

Goats have very very flexible necks. And at times scare me they positions they "relax" in. This was a semi-normal position, not to scary. She was really sound asleep. I called out, banged on the fence -  nothing. Good to know she has no worries and can get her rest without any worries, stress, anxiety or hormones... yeah that one I can relate to and understand! HA - if only I could get a night sleep like Miss Crissy... what a dream! Oh but Crissy - love her.

Hope you have a smile and enjoyed this weeks photos. They sure enjoy visiting you each week!

High Hopes Stamps - Bat Friends

Howdy -

This week for High Hopes Stamps another great Fall/Halloween image! This guy is just so dapper! This is "Bat Friends" -

He is just hanging around with some of his friends - I colored with my Copics (colors below) I went very "dark" with this one. Figured that is what he would like. A black card stock base, with pattern papers from my scrap papers. I found some scroll dies from Spellbinders that I punched out of black card stock and then backed with some matching red papers. The sentiment "Have a boo-tiful day!" is a fun Halloween sentiment to put with so many "scary" images.

Animal Crackers - Hello help Mom

Hello-

While going to check on the kids yesterday I was approached by my boy Sergio... "Uh Hello Mom,  Can you help me please?"

Of course Sergio!! Poor boy had a small piece of cactus stuck on him. Not sure where he got it from, as I don't see any in his pen, but maybe he had his head sticking way far out from his pen trying to reach the girls. Yep that is my bet! LOL He is all good now.

Then not too far from Sergio I found Chipmunk "smiling" for me. Me? Or the lady goats? Any bets on that one? Yep the ladies for sure!

That is his "I'm Sexy" smile... I don't know about that but I do think he is one handsome young man goat!

Mallory?? Uh I don't think she is interested at all -  "Uh no not in the least!"

This alfalfa that Dad gave me is much much more interesting and quite tasty! But then Vera thought it was pretty comfortable -

That is a real goat thing - I know I show lots of photos of them lounging in their hay. It is their way of having "breakfast as a bed" Shame we can't all get away with that... Ha! ok maybe not.

Chickens were really very very very busy. Now they dig in and scratch their breakfast!

Very Very Busy.... cluck cluck cluck. They are so fun to watch!

I then had a chat with Old Mama Cat -

OH my she is really getting old. I was trying to add it up and I can't tie it down exactly. But over 10 I think. And for an outside kitty... she is getting up there. She has gotten very sweet and we will love her! Well as much as she will let us love her. I personally only have chats and meaningful talks with her. Hubby gets much closer and has "contact" with her. LOL Feral Cats are very cautious and that is pretty good for her!

I hope you have a smile this week again - My fur children all have such warm personalities - some sweet, some funny, some pushy, all loved!

Have a blessed weekend!

High Hopes Stamps - Sitting Witchy Poo

Howdy -

This month for High Hopes Stamps we are showing off Fall/ Halloween stamps! It's Coming Fast! And for my card I went with Sitting Witchy Poo.. a sweet clown happy witch. At least I am thinking that :0)

I went with my new challenge of non traditional colors - normally I would have gone black green oranges. So I found some scrap papers in fall colors and went with it. Purple Blueish, Golden Yellow and Green. I sewed down the layers and then went to coloring with my Copics. (colors below)

Then I sewed the image down to the layers - now total honesty... sigh. Was suppose to be a cute zig zag stitch and my sewing machine went a bit nuts and was totally messing up my stitches. I was upset at first and thought I had to start all over, but I looked at it and liked it with the Witch. I mean a witch would have a bit of sketchy stitching right? LOL

For my sentiment I went with "Happy Halloween" from High Hopes - love how I can color in the letters with matching colors.

Copic colors -
