High Hopes Stamps - Juggles

Howdy -

This week for High Hopes Stamps I went for fun and lots of colors! And can't get more fun and colorful than a clown! This is Juggles!

Gotta love a clown... well unless you have that thing about being scared of clowns I guess! Juggles is colored with my Copics (colors below) and then I found papers in my scrap pile that had lots of fun colors as well. And I love the banner paper. Everything is placed on red card stock base and mats. Then I noticed that the balls the clown is juggling... the exact same size as my brads! I just had to do that right?

The sentiment is also from High Hopes Stamps - "Just clowning around"

Love the fun. Perfect image for a child's card to just a lot of smiles for anyone!

Animal Crackers - Beautiful Sky for Photographs!

Howdy -

More photos from last weeks outing. It was such a gorgeous day and everyone was looking for their photo to be taken, and a stunning blue sky for background!

Alvin is such a handsome man to capture a photo of!

Stinky... dirty and all, but very sweet and friendly. Not like Domino who is rude, obnoxious and just mean most of the time! Alvin is calm and sweet. Getting old, but still a looker!

Darlene was right on my heels while out by Alvin's pen, She has a private pen that is right next to him. She wanted attention too. I payed lots of attention. Lots of rubs and scratches. But actually she was more interested in head butting and pushing me to tell "Dad" that is was past time for her Old Lady Feed! LOL I swear she can tell time!

And speaking of telling time... Little Dude is way off! Sunrise and Sunset. That is when he is suppose to scream. OH MY this little guy starts at like 4:30 in the morning - goes non stop until 8 or 9 am then starts up again about 5pm and goes until it is pitch dark. For a little guy he has a healthy set of lungs!

While out snapping the photo of Little Dude I tried to get a photo of the "chicks" that are now all grown up. And finally starting to lay a few eggs! I love that old lady Guinea is perfectly happy roaming all in with the chickens now. We have some really gorgeous colors in this last batch of chickens.

As I started back towards the house I found  Thelma chillin' in the shade just enjoying the weather. Pretty lady.

Then I saw on the other end of their pen Lizzie. Well I guess she needed extra shade for her head? LOL

That hut is up off the ground to keep the ants out of it, and to make it cooler. But under seems to work well too.

Libbie seemed to know I was coming.. sniffing the air, enjoying the sunshine. Blind and Deaf but still a beauty queen. I can't believe she is right at 15 years old.

Sat down at my computer to upload my photos... somebody was staring at me... with big eyes.

Such a gorgeous kitty cat. Her eyes always seem enormous! She has become so friendly and loves to cuddle more and more. Many evenings I have Bubba on one side of my lap and Ferrari on the other.

Hope you enjoyed again this week my fur children. And I do hope you have a big Animal Crackers smile!

Have a blessed weekend -

High Hopes Stamps - Valerie Nurse Angel

Howdy -

This week for High Hopes Stamps I needed a Get Well Soon card, and Valerie Nurse Angel is a favorite of mine!  She is just too adorable helping out her little Teddy Bear Friend!

I colored with my Copics (colors below) I then cut it out and went to find pattern papers. The Webster Pages gingham paper was just gorgeous! The papers are layered and then sewn together. A sentiment from High Hopes Stamps "Get Well Soon Script" is stamped then sewn on as a band across the corner.

Loved the pretty papers so much and how Valerie pops so I decided to not add too much more and only added Nuvo glitter to her wings and then Nuvo white pen dots in two of the corners.

A little simple but I love how it came out!

Animal Crackers... Oh No!

Howdy -

Ran errands the other day... One was a stop at the feed store. We go there more often that the grocery store! As we drove in the front gate we were greeted by the three stooges. The three standard donkeys that have full control of the property.

We were very blessed with a little bit of rain a couple of weeks ago... and then all this tiny green stuff started coming up everywhere. It had been too long since we saw any thing close to green! The donkeys are loving it! And for the first time in awhile Valentine, Cocoa and Teddy were up at the gate grazing. There was nothing but dirt up front so really no reason for them to venture up there... but now! Oh they are happy campers!

We drove up our dirt driveway and stop. Hubby says I am going to run in and change clothes and then unload all the chicken feed, and donkey feed. And out of nowhere in just minutes the Three Stooges magically appeared! And in a blink of an eye Valentine reached over the tailgate, and ripped a big ole' hole in the chicken feed bag and started grabbing large mouths full and chowing down. What he was dropping on the ground, Cocoa and Teddy were cleaning up as fast as it was hitting the dirt. I ran out and of course snapped a photo first and then told them to back off! They were not scared of me and decided they were hidden well behind the tailgate... LOL

Hubby went flying out arms waving and screaming NO bad Donkeys! And a few other things...

They took off running and acted like they had no clue why he was upset. US? Look how far away we are.... I stood out there while Hubby went in to finish putting on his shoes... and here they came towards me. Uh NOPE I am standing right here! BAD DONKEYS... funny but Bad!

Hubby brought in a couple of round bales this week. The forecast is predicting rain next week and he decided to get them in now just in case they are actually right.

Here Patricio and Flavio are more interested in the decoy hay thrown in to keep them off the truck and hay trailer. Otherwise they run all around while he is moving and it scares us both. Decoy hay works very well to keep them in one place away from the drop zone. And this was fresh cut this week decoy hay so I am sure it is much tastier than that round bale, but once it is gone guys... round bale is it!

Snapped a photo of Black Jack. He has been very very busy out grazing in his new green grass. Didn't see him at all when I first went out. Heart starts beating harder... Yell out... nothing, where is he? I go in his pen and start looking everywhere and slowly he starts making his way up to me. No biggie.. whats up Mom?

Some ear scratches and then his favorite loved rear end scratches and then he went on back to grazing.

As I made my way back to the porch, there was sweet little Chica just sitting on the edge of the porch waiting for me to let her back in.

She has been such a perfect little dog. Always minds. Never bad. Well other than trying to sneak the cat food from time to time. Just a sweet beautiful little girl. Love her so much!

Now I have in the past told you about the three boy "kittens" that were born months back in the barn and now living here. Its ok... they are boys - and they keep the mice away and are fun to watch playing outside. Their Momma disappeared a couple months after they were born. We thought something had happened to her. Months go by.... And guess what.. OH NO!

She showed up again. This time with FIVE little fur balls in tow. She has had them living in the garage, and on the back porch. Moving them back and forth every few days. Thankfully we have a family member that works with stray cats and she is going to help us trap and find them all homes. THANK YOU!!!

Is there some Cat radar out there that they send out a message saying travel a long way to these peoples farm and have your kitten there. They will feed you and take care of you cuz the man there is a bit nuts for cats. Ha! When he called me to see the little furry adorable things I said awe how cute.. .if you even think of bringing one inside you will be living in the barn for sure! Find them other homes! They are cute but we need to spread the love and cuddles elsewhere!

Hope you enjoyed this week - Have you AC Smile again!

High Hopes Stamps - Drive Thru

Howdy -

Been really busy lately - Wish I could get a little caffeine to help boost my energy. But darn it I gave it up! But this guy... he has his order at his favorite Coffee Drive-Thru! This is High Hopes Stamps "Drive Thru

He is just too cute and too fun to color! I used my Copics (colors below) and then found some papers from Prima Marketing En Francais collection. I thought the french papers were good for a french roast coffee card!

All my layers are sewn down with dark thread, and then placed on a dark brown card stock base. The sentiment is also from High Hopes Stamps "Coffee to Go". Punched out with an EK Success Ticket punch. Then faux matted the edges with a matching Copic marker.

Fun card for a friend!

Animal Crackers - A walk to visit the fur children!

Howdy

Went out for walk yesterday to see the fur children. The ladies were in the back of their pasture, so that gave me time to have some private time with my sweet boy Raffie, before walking all the way to the back.

His pen is next to the ladies pen, so usually I am swarmed by the girls when trying to love of Raffie... but it was nice calm and quiet. So we had plenty of time to get a rub down and chat. He is such a love! And a great logo for me too?? :0)

But then the ladies saw me and within minutes were all around me, before I even made it to the back.

Gotta love that they want to come see me though right?

Miss Patti was right up front, pushing and shoving. Such a sweet old lady. And loves attention.

Hannah is very friendly and always that pushy little girl. Very Very Pushy, she is a funny girl. Almost too pushy but you can't fault her for wanting to get lots of attention and having tons of personality. And she has an abundance!

Pepita... she is totally sweet. But on her terms and only when she wants to be. In fact many times she is just fine standing off watching and not getting involved. But yesterday she was right there! In fact she got in trouble....

She took a nibble on me! Bad Girl! It was a "love me next" type of nibble but still got my attention! Wowser! LOL I think I wasn't on guard for her to take a bite cuz it was just so unlike her! She was feeling good and feisty!

I decided that it was time to start making my way back up to the front of the pasture. The girls were getting a little much! You have no idea how hard it was to get a photo of Juliet. She was trotting after me and shoving me in the back. She was not ready for me to leave that pasture. Ha!

I stayed a little longer but then it started sprinkling and me and my new shoes were not wanting to get wet. So I made my way up to the front and towards the goat pen.

OH my Domino's pen. Wowser! He stinks! He is nuts, bad male goat attitude, dirty and stinks! LOL

Abigail agreed! ha! Actually she could have cared less... she was happy just minding her own business and munching on her left over breakfast.

I wish she was friendlier. Like her daughter Penelope. But no, she is super skittish and had no interest at all in getting petted. But she is beautiful .. right?

Hope you enjoyed this week.. and have a smile!

High Hopes Stamps - Wagon Full of Blessings

Howdy -

This week for High Hopes Stamps I worked with one of my favorite Fall images. "Wagon Full of Blessings" just warms my heart!

I found some pattern papers from Webster's Pages and Memory Box that I love. Coloring with my Copics (colors below)  to coordinate with the papers. I first was going to use a white card stock base, but then decided I liked the warmth of the dark brown.

The sentiment is also High Hopes Stamps "Happy Harvest" perfect! Those two cuties look pretty happy with the pumpkin they harvested!

All the layers are sewn down with black thread. A simple card but I like the warmth and... well Fall feeling of this one!

Animal Crackers - Random Shots

Howdy -

This week I thought I would share some random shots from my phone from the last few weeks. Hubby and I will snap things and send to each other that we find funny or just to capture things around the farm.

First up was a photo I took of Bubba trying to figure out who was banging on the window screen on the back porch. He kept looking at us like "Is that cat suppose to be outside?" And the young kitty outside was like "Hey dude come out and play"

Sorry Tangerine... Mom says no, inside kitties stay inside. They are not use to the dangers of the outside and well... Mom is really attached to Bubba her snuggle kitty. They played well in the window for a long while though.

Our chickens are not free range. They stay in their large chicken coop safe and sound. But our neighbors have gotten chickens and well... lets say they spend more time here than their property. And that is a good morning travel for them to get over to us.

And I'm not talking one or two chickens.... like all of their chickens. One morning last week I counted over a dozen... along with their rooster! Our chickens just ignore them for the most part. Well other than their rooster and ours "Little Dude" they get into a calling contest and it goes on for what seems like forever.. sigh.

This is a photo I took a couple of weeks ago and didn't share. But when looking back I thought what a great angle to show off just how long Gracie's horns are! Man I had an itch on my shoulder blade last week... this would have been so nice to reach it myself!

Felt like I needed to share a donkey this week too.... and this one of Irene didn't get shared I don't think.  She is such a sweet girl. A little chunky, but who am I to talk?

More cats.. sorry its what I snapped lately to share with Hubby. This one was just amazing. Not a great face shot of Grey Beard, one of the outside kittens. But it was a shot to show Hubby where he was.

We have a scraggly Texas Sage bush in the back yard. Long branches that really don't look like they would hold a butterfly's weight. But nope Grey Beard had climbed into the tree, pretty high up and was balancing and really doing a pretty good imitation of a High Wire Act! Was pretty awesome to watch just how good he was at it!

Then one more snap shot for "Dad" Momma Cat chilling on one of my inventory boxes.

She is such a wonderful success story for us. So skittish and well.. crazy! We couldn't get within 10 feet of her for months. And trapping her and getting her fixed was like trying to capture a wild lion. And it took us three attempts to finally trap her and keep her in a cage and get her to the vet. Within time after she was fixed she would come sit in the backyard and meow at us... closer and closer. Then one day Hubby sat on the back steps and she came up to him and let him touch her for half of a second. Then it was just slow movements for a few months and then she adored being petted and loved on. A few months later and when Hubby was freaked out over the coyotes screaming... she came inside. Reunited with her now adult kittens and we are all one big family. A little nuts yes, but happy. She now sleeps in our bed and loves living inside. Never even attempts to go out the back door.

Hope you enjoyed my snapshots this week... sometimes it is fun to see the not so pretty portraits and just see life -

Hugs and have a blessed weekend -

High Hopes Stamps - Sick Ollie

Howdy -

This week I went for a favorite Get Well Soon Image at High Hopes Stamps. This is "Sick Ollie"

Love this image to cheer up a friend that isn't feeling so well. I colored "Sick Ollie" with my Copics. Then dug deep into some of my favorite older pattern papers. These are older Sassafrass papers, love that scalloped border. Things are all sewn down with my sewing machine. Had a panic at first as I am out of white thread!! But then I decided to try some black thread. I kinda like it!

The sentiment is also from High Hopes Stamps "Get Well Soon Script". Love the fun font on this one.

Makes a fun card to put a smile on someone under the weather.
