Animal Crackers - Some are Smart... Some are not...

Howdy -

You think these three are a little sad? They know when we have shows.. as I start stacking things up for Hubby to load. Yesterday afternoon these three were all laying near my pile with long sad faces. You would think that we abandon them for days at a time... LOL They know we never leave them too long. Just not hear every second for them... hate to tell them I am working ahead now they think every time we go out the door that is it.. then as soon as I come back in, even if it is 5 minutes later they act as if I have been gone for a month! LOL Sweep puppies...

Hubby snapped this one a little while back and I don't think I shared it. This is Sweet Pea... She had a problem....

Only a couple of the goats wear collars.... and Sweet Pea isn't one of them. hmmmm...  So now how did she get it off one of the two older girls.. how did she get it around her neck... and how did she get her leg stuck as well? hmmm. Oh well Hubby saved her and took it off her. But as I have trained him well he snapped the photo first. :0)

Now the chickens have really been down on their egg productions lately... one to two a day is what we have been getting lately. Normally I get 6-9 a day. But yesterday I was dancing around happy when I went out to get the eggs...

One of my little heritage girls have now started to lay!!! Not sure which one, I tried to get someone to claim their little tiny egg... but they were just interested in the bag of lettuce in my hand. So happy... so the other girls should be right behind her! So excited!!! Should get some blue or greenish ones soon.

Now the reason my older girls productions numbers are down is one the heat... and they are really into their moulting time.. a few just are not their prettiest right now.

But we still love them...

One more ... not the best photo, a little grainy... but it was too cute to not show you.

You see when the moon is high and full the donkeys love to roam around in the moonlight. But then the days you need to crash and take naps. This was about 6pm when had just come home and were coming through our gate... all three standard donkeys. Cocoa, Teddy and Valentine were crashed out cold! Valentine actually was laying out flat when we first came through the gate but just as I snapped he raised his head up to make sure we were ok. As soon as he saw it was Mom and Dad he flopped back over. We aren't no big deal. LOL

Well today I am doing a Doll Show. Not many antique dealers attend this show. Maybe 1/4th of the dealers. I have done it a few times over the past couple of years. Not Hubby's cup of tea... LOL But Since I do the antique bisque dolls and antique doll furniture and the show is only 15 minutes from home I like doing it. Wish me luck! For selling and for finding a few goodies too! :0)

Hope you have a fun day planned!
Have a great one!

Animal Crackers - LOTS of Baby Gabrielle Photos :0)

 * Edited to Add: We need some prayers again here at Animal Crackers...... Gabrielle our baby has been pretty sick the past couple of days. Basically the heat and being a new born is too much for her this week. She is holding her own right now... praying that she gets stronger and eating more and can fight the heat and win!

This little donkey is definitely gonna be a Super Model! She is really getting into the posing for me! Love that! Gabrielle is stunning and looking like she may have her Mom's same pushy friendly personality - I hope so!

My new favorite photo....
I just love this photo!!!! The light, the angle? The way baby Gabrielle is coming over Mom Lacey's ear... I don't know... just love it!  But wait - close second this week...
Now you all know that we take traditional day one photos of "Dad" (Hubby) with the new baby. We have done this with every single baby born here. They are all similar, but the ones with Lacey... are always just too perfect! I swear she likes to smile and pose with them! She is even looking at the camera while posing up with the baby. It is too funny!
We were laughing at her and the way she poses for the camera when Hubby put the baby down and was loving on her. Well Mom Lacey wanted loving too!!! So she went in for her own hugs - Sweet photo isn't it. Oh my this one may have to be my new favorite.
LOL.... Lacey is a bit of an ox with her "loving hugs" and let me tell you she is strong as an ox too! Hubby nearly lost his head with this hug!! LOL
They are adorable - Mom and baby Gabrielle - I love them so!
One more close up! Isn't she pretty... even if all ears and legs at this point. Amazes me that when all these photos were taken she was only 7 hours old! Already making rounds around the pen and active. Just beautiful!

But as we left that pen... we found this across from us...
Little Yolanda - "HELLO.... I AM STILL ADORABLE TOO AREN'T I??"  Yes, Yolanda, a mess, shaggy and hot, but totally adorable! She needs more shedding brush done. It isn't good to remove the baby's fur even if hot - but we brush them a bit to try and remove the tangles of fur. Then she rolls around in the dirt and more are there. Once she loose her baby fur and can be cleaned up properly she is going to be a stunning little gal, with her dark face and markings. We still love you Yolanda... no worries there baby!
Turned towards the house and the dog yard, and goat pen I found Rhett like this...... Is there any more grain??? This one seems to be empty now. Don't worry... we have a few bowls on the ground for the little ones to eat out of so we don't make them eat on their tippy toes :0)
Now that both puppies are gone, Libbie has gotten real playful again. Her and Chica really have been tearing it up lately - loudly too I might add - They were running in circles here jumping at each other. Just a Mom and her oldest daughter having some fun!

And then there is my boy -

Just how darn handsome is he???  Stunning boy when clean and brushed. Shame he gets so dirty so fast. It has been quite windy here in the evenings - he has that blowing hair cover of a romance novel look here doesn't he?? Snort.... snort! :0)

Well hope you enjoyed today's Animal Crackers! We have more babies coming through out the next month or so! I just can't wait!!!

Animal Crackers - Little Miha has found a new home....... ;0(

I showed this photo during the week.. but thought I would share it again for those that missed it. Cuz it is the last one of our little Miha -
Yes.. you read that right. Yesterday I got a phone call from a gentleman looking for a little girl. I was so torn, I really didn't want to sell her, as I have gotten so attached. But I know that we just can't keep all our babies. And she will bring love and joy to another family. We are very sad, but feel good about her going. Pout Pout

Autie and Chica are really going to miss her, but they do have each other. And honestly Chica has been a little down with the attention that the puppies were getting.
So Chica goes back to being my baby...

Got a cute photo of Gato our cat - She LOVES to watch out side from her Bed Lounge. Enjoying the birds, and goats from the comfort of a cushy bed and air conditioning.
I took this photo from outside - :0) Love that you can see the bottom of her little foot pressing on the window.

NO we didn't forget to get a photo of Miss. Libbie - she is in her skinny stage from the babies. I think she was about ready for the last one to leave. She still would tend to her, but wasn't letting her nurse anymore.
She is such a super model. Now she can go back to just being the leader of the three - running the house and no worries of babies.

Do you love this photo I got of Bo or what!!! I leaned over the fence to talk to him. Now mind you he is one of the skittish ones and normally would bolt to talk to me from a safer distance.
But instead he just stood there looking straight up at me with those gorgeous baby blues! Sad he has to go off to the sale barn soon.... I hope he will go somewhere that he can pass on those gorgeous eyes.

The Girls pen was having dinner when I got to them. I just love that Juliet has bonded so much to these girls. We really wanted her to run with the other standards, but we just are not pushing her, she loves her "little" friends.

Lydia is her bestest friend - she is ALWAYS by her side. Actually Juliet is by Lydia's side, as Lydia all though smaller is the leader -

Lydia's Mom is getting really close to having another baby!! I just hope she will wait until evening, or early morning. Her last two she has had in the middle of the day and it is just too hot for that now.
As long as they are both healthy - we are happy. Lacey is a great Mom and has really given us some pretty girls. Well Raffie technically supplied the girl part right? But Lacey has done her part on good friendly babies!

Here is our wonderful spot Jack Raffie - many know him as my "smiling donkey" But he is a working guy here... and has given us many great SMALL babies. Most of which have been girls.
I just had to share one more... it was tooooo darn cute!

Hubby was getting hay to feed the goats. We don't use big round bales in with them. Well Raffie and his three girls here really was hoping that they were going to get some too.... Here they were just keeping a close eye on "Dad" But when he went the other way with they hay they let out a few "Over here - we want some too" yells for him. Then they went off to their round bale and had dinner. LOL

Hope you enjoyed today's Animal Crackers - And we hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Animal Crackers - Bye Bye Sweetie Bye Bye

Yep... one of the puppies has been sold. Sweetie, or Puppy 2. Now she isn't physically gone yet, she still has two weeks or so before she is old enough to go. But I am already missing her! I adore both of the girls, really I do. But Chunk "a fondly used nickname", Chunk and I have a bond. :0)

I took some great photos of the girls yesterday, they had their first real outdoor playtime. It was too funny watching them in the grass. But first a few face shots while held by "Dad".

Sweetie first -
Gorgeous huh? And sold.. pout pout... I know I can't keep them all... my house shows that!

Precious now...
OH my... you think it is going to take long to find another person that wants her? She is the calmer of the two... LOVES to be held.

And then I had to show their big Sister, Chica.... she was having fun just watching them in the grass here... She is a stunning girl herself! But she is all ours... she isn't going anywhere :0)
Here is Precious after a few minutes outside... it was already hot and it wasn't even 9:30 in the morning... she wanted back in to the air conditioning!! She was hiding in the shade of a bucket here
Her face looks so skinny here... LOL maybe it was all that panting!
But Sweetie was hiding at that same time in my shade...
Yep... she was hiding next to my foot in my shade - Man ... look at that tongue! They learned about the outside water bowl after these photos. You would think we had them out there for hours! It was about 20 minutes, again it was already in the mid 90's.

Got a great Goat photo... of Belle -
Those eyes just kill me! The see your deepest thoughts! Really I think they do! LOL

Went for some donkey photos then. And already they were all in the shade. We love our huge Oak Tree... so do the donkeys -
This tree gives off tons of shade for this pen, and they take full advantage of it!

Jolene actually braved the sun to come for some lovin' She is so stunning when she sheds out. That shiny dark hair, and face. And yes... she is pretty pregnant here - We "think" a couple of months. But with Jolene, she can just deliver and surprise us with no warning signs.
Then we went to the little girls pen. Here Gloria and Lina were wanting the first lovings -
They are all just too sweet. I just adore each and every one of them! Selling any of them just kill me - but I keep telling my self they will spread the love and someone else will have the joy I do.

Hope you enjoyed Animal Crackers today - I got a few good shots this week. The heat just doesn't help with playful happy animals.... or photographers!! We all like it better when it is cooler.

Animal Crackers - Stunning!

Well - The babies are all growing fast - and we are having a ton of fun watching them bounce around.. the puppies are "walking" wobbly but walking, and the puppy pen has now been brought out. But first I wanted to show off our sheared stunning donkeys!

First up Pepita - Holy Cow! She is totally stunning! Shaved off all of her long tangled baby fur.. and this stunning black little girl appeared!  Gorgeous!
Felicia was up next in the girls pen - we thought she was going to be one of the easiest ones... but nope... she put up a bit of a struggle.....

Totally worth it! She had some really long hair, despite that her baby fur was cut last year. I think she is going to be like her Dad Black Jack, and grow out long every winter. REALLY Long!

The boys really look sharp too...
Jorge... out littlest guy, really shows off how small he actually is now, and totally handsome I might say... Felipe is just as handsome, he put up a bit of a fight with us, I know he is happier now. Paco... he didn't get a hair cut - we didn't cut any of the spotted donkeys, with as hot as it is, way to scary that they would sunburn. But with them being Raffie's kids, they have that very short hair like him, so once we brush off the baby fur, they are cool! In more ways than one -

Juliet is doing good - she was our standard girl that I showed you us getting sheared last week. She is doing great... much happier, she is also smart... with shorter hair, she stays in the shade more. She doesn't want to sunburn either!
..... She went in for a close up on her own.... love that Juliet!!

While out taking photos, we got 6 inches of rain!!! Ok... the drops fell 6 inches apart and lasted about 3 minutes! But that was all Paintbrush needed to run for cover!

This girl HATES to get wet! LOL She is getting really wide... Can't wait to see what her babies look like - her last litter was gorgeous!

Here is Daisy Duke - I have been really working hard on making sure she is sweet.... here she was enjoying some sweet milk... YOU GOT MILK?

Love those little milk lips! LOL

I know PUPPY PHOTOS...

Here I caught Chica Puppy Sitting... Too Too Adorable!

Not a great photo, had to move quick and used my phone... but still adorable. She really loves the puppies, and she loves to help clean and love on them. If Libbie is on a Mommy break, Chica takes over... Too Too Adorable!

Dad takes a bit of a turn as well.

It amazes me how totally wonderful he is with the puppies. Totally patient and calm with them. They crawl all over him, across him, and under him.... and he just watches them and loves on them.

Such good Animals I have huh? Gotta Love them!

Libbie HAD HER PUPPIES!!

Yes ... Libbie had her puppies!!! Two adorable little girls that look like their Daddy :0)

Puppy one was born about 10:15PM... on me!! I was holding Libbie talking to her on our bed, she had been in labor for a couple of hours. And then BAM.... she had her! Guess Libbie feels safe with me huh?

Puppy One is a wiggler! She would not hold still for her first photo... She weighs in at 8oz!

Puppy Two seems a bit more calm. Must be that she was born just before 11:30PM and was tired from the long night. She has much more white on her face. She is a little chubbier - weighing in at almost 10oz!
I didn't take any photos of Libbie... she is a bit of a mess this morning, but is cleaning up well. And she is a super Mom!

I did snap a couple of other cute photos though.....

How is this for the concerned Big Sister? LOL Chica was so quiet and calm... standing up on the edge of the bed watching... totally adorable!
And of course Autie was the Proud Papa! He ran all around the bed barking and watching over Libbie. He even ran the cat off when she came in the room. Libbie was fine during ti all and was ok with them in the room - but we moved her crate up on the bed when she got close so the other two dogs wouldn't bother her, but could watch from a safe distance.

The whole family is doing great. We even talked Libbie into a really fast potty run this morning. She will not leave the puppies hardly at all.... the potty run was a must, and now she is bonding and loving on her two girls.

I'll snap more photos during the week :0)
