Me and My Space - The T has been freed! And a few Dolls...

Hello - Oops... missed posting this morning didn't I? We flew out of here so early, and in such a tizzy that I forgot a few other things too..

So I am just doing a new post for today and sharing our excitement of the day. The Model T has finally been freed from the Trailer and is sitting in its new garage. Ok, so the door has not been hung on the garage yet, but that is "suppose" to happen tomorrow. And we had family here today to help Hubby roll, push and pull and get it in its new home.

Here is Hubby... his first time actually behind the wheel.

It was really exciting to see it come down the ramp and out of the box trailer.

Thank you to Hubby's Brother and Brother in Law for all the help. I don't move fast enough any more to get out the way if it were to "get away". And knowing my track record I would probably fall and break something. More than likely something on me...

It is so pretty... The red is not correct... one day we will do the total restoration... but for now we will just get it running and enjoy it.

Sad thing is that we are so crazy busy getting ready for the Antique Show next weekend that Hubby really has no time to "play" with it this week. But I am sure he will find a few minutes here and there to tinker with it... after all he has been waiting over a month to even sit in it! BTW... the color is not correct, but pretty much everything else is totally original 1913. Now the top is not on it here, and now that I look at the photo... the front bumper is not attached in the right position it is just sitting up on the bars... but I think we all can still see how beautiful it is.

Ok... thought I would also show you something I was so thrilled to find for the show.... My plan was to maybe sell two and keep one... LOL But we will see.

These are stuffed dolls from Fabric Art Mills. They were produced around 1900. I love them. They are large, I think the two in the back are like 28 inches. Each of them have very old clothes on them. But they are printed with nice "under garmets" as well.  I will take all three to the show. And see if anyone else shares my love for them. When I showed them to Hubby... he said wow cool... And then said you are selling all three right? I told him I wanted to keep one maybe. He said.. "Well I kinda think they are creepy..."  Really??? Creepy????  I love them. What do you think? LOL

Have a wonderful evening...

Animal Crackers - Who Me?

oops... this week got by me pretty quick. What was I doing? Not too much, I have been cleaning out cabinets, drawers and such trying to get together more stock for my ebay sales. We took a day and went hunting  for  goodies as well. I am pretty close I think to opening a ebay store I think. I didn't end up doing a few weeks ago because I just didn't have enough "stock" but we have been finding quite a bit around here and out and about so I may just go for it. Then again we have been talking about a booth somewhere. One day at a time I suppose, then I will have a for sure plan. I had my monthly Doctor's appointment to get my check up for my weight loss. I have a 37 pound loss so far. SLLLLOOOOOWLY it is coming off. But I know that is how I need to do it, and as long as each week it is some sort of loss and no gains I am ok with it. My goal was 100 pounds in a year. It may take me a little longer than that... but hey took me a lifetime to put it on so if it take a year and a half or even two years and I have trained myself how to eat better and live healthier It is all good.

How about a few photos I have taken the past week - First up... Mr. Tuco.... So the dogs were accidentally let out the other evening while the sprinkler was going in the back yard. Before we had the rain we were trying to save the grass in the back yard... If it dies out too soon then the dogs have just dead grass in spots and dirt, and then they play in it, and then the back yard ends up in my house... seriously I sweep up and just put it back out in the yard sometime cuz it is nothing but dirt. Anyway we forgot the sprinkler was going, the other three dogs stayed on the other side of the yard, but Tuco... well he decided that it was really way too much to try and contain himself. Now you have to remember, that Tuco is one of the dogs that WILL NOT go outside if it is raining... but a sprinkler, that is totally different. He ran barked and his fresh pretty fur from his bath a couple of days before - well now he was a smelly wet dog. And more than that he then went and found some dirt and played in it.  "Tuco.. are you the one that tracked all the water and mud in my house" He tried to go and hide. "Come here Tuco... Did you track all this in?"  And that face was all I got back. I seriously think that is his "Who Me?, Not me I am really cute and always innocent."look,   he gets away with a lot with that face.

I thought I should update you all on Patti. She is all better. At least she acts and looks all better. She is eating and has put back on most all the weight she had lost. She is roaming with all the other Ladies and I am so thrilled.

All the test finally came back in. And pretty much told us... well not much. All they could say for sure is that it seemed that it was some sort of Toxin. That could mean something bit her that was poisonous, or something that she was highly allergic too. After finding the Copperhead snake very close to her barn, we all agree that was more than likely the cause. I am just glad our gal Patti is back to herself again.

Speaking of eating... I cannot even express to you how thrilling it has been the past couple of weeks to look across our pen into our neighbors and see all our Ladies grazing... all day.... and all night. LOL they have really needed fresh grass. Their pen never got a chance to really grow much after last years drought. They would eat up every blade of grass as it would sprout. Now they are getting spoiled with overload of grass. But that is ok.

Goats... haven't shown many photos of them recently have I? They are all growing and getting so big. The little girls are nearing "full size" They will still fill out as they age, but their height is about there. The older Mom's well they are getting bigger too. But theirs is WIDE. WOA we have some really big Mommas. I have them dated for November births. But seriously, there are a couple that I wonder if one of the Young Boys were.. ahem... active early. Will have to keep a close eye on them.  I will try and get some good photos of them this week so you can see yourselves just how huge they are. I really love all our goats, but I still think Gracie is my favorite to photograph.

Even with my phone.. she takes great photos. It is almost like she stares through the camera at you. She is for sure a Super Model Goat.

OH.. wanted to also share one of about 40 photos I took early in the week after the rains. Hubby called me outside and said hurry you don't see this too often. Most of the time one of the animals is doing something really stupid, or he has found some "rare" bug for me to see. But this time it was something really beautiful.

I had a horrible time getting photos of it. But we had an amazing view of a full rainbow. I just couldn't get a photograph of it at all. We could see it from the ground on both ends! It was so bright and vibrant,  and the longer we stayed out and watched it the bolder it became. And you can barely see it in this photo, but soon there was a second rainbow appearing! It wasn't nearly as bold, but it was there. But then as fast as it was there, the sun started setting and it was gone. And before I got a chance to look for the pot of gold!!

And last today.. wanted to show you the "garage".  I am sure you think we have totally forgotten about that gorgeous 1913 Model T Ford we got a few weeks ago. No we open up the trailer and sigh and stare at it almost daily. But it can't come out for us to play with until there is a safe storage for it. Safe from - Bugs (wood wheels can't be stored on dirt or gravel) .. and then Donkeys, Dogs and varmints. The Concrete Slab is all done...

Has the pipe for a sink in the corner, and electrical box up front. A ramp for a 16 foot roll up door in the front, and then a small door across the back for ventilation when working in it. Well now as of last night I can report that the building has arrived to the property. Flat and on a trailer, but technically it is here. Yesterday Hubby drove the near 2 hours and took down the building from the friend we purchased it from. It is a "model" garage for his business. We got it for a good price, but Hubby had to take it down and bring it home. Now it is just a matter of putting it back together. I think Hubby will take a day or two to rest, then he will be going like crazy to get it up and completed. It is killing him not getting to start working on the "T". But a couple days rest after getting the 20 x 24 building apart, down, and loaded onto a trailer just him and one other guy, in less than a day... that was not an easy job.  He was showing me that he can fit at least two cars, maybe three in this garage ... one car at a time babe... LOL

ok.. time to get things going. I really hope to get things in order today, and house all clean and sorted. Making me nuts having stuff sitting around everywhere!! So what are you working on this weekend? Have fun plans? Share... I would like to hear about some fun!

Have a great one... I'll see you tomorrow for Me and My Space. (It is scheduled again... lets see if it works this week!)

Animal Crackers - Baby its Hot Out There!

Howdy - Saturday and Animal Crackers - Today's photos are a hodge podge of the week. A few new friends, new project, and some hot animals!

I don't know what the weather is like where you are, but here... IT IS HOT! I don't do hot. I use to handle short times outside, but lately... 15 minutes and I am OVER DONE! I feel bad as I really would like to help Hubby more, I even tried yesterday and he sent me back inside. I get totally red in the face in just minutes. Side effect of a medicine... and totally not use to it. But lately, it is really hot. Even Hubby gave it in yesterday afternoon, came in and said that is it - too hot. Wish I could bring everyone inside... sigh...

Hank stays in the shade during the day -

Now there are three other boys in "Hank's Pen". They should have been sold already. My fault. I needed to run another ad and things just got nuts and I never got it going again. I may try next week one last time. If they don't go with that ad they will have to go to auction. We have way to many "guys" around here. Hank though, he is a loner, a private dude, a bit of a rebel. Oh he will get in the middle and play with the guys - but he is also totally content just sitting back and watching everything around him. But with the heat... instead of his normal spot up onto of the benches, he has taken up residency in the oldest goat shed. That front door has a good view of the girls pen, and the dogs back yard... nice spot in the shade.  Still lovin' that hairdo Hank!

Just like Hank... Cleatus does not move around too much in the middle of the day -

Can you see him? Can't miss those horns.. it is Cleatus. Normally you will hear Cleat and Peso banging their heads back and forth on the fence/wall between their pens. You will hear them yelling out at everyone to make sure every ear with in a mile knows that they are the best looking, and strongest Buck. You will hear scratching and rubbing of their horns on the edge of everything in their pen. But this last week... those noises are only early in the morning, and late in the evening. Daytime... It is best to just blend into the shade and stay still.

Speaking of blending in -

Went out to water earlier in the week. Yes, buckets are being filled at least twice a day. I went out and was missing two donkeys in the boys Frat pen. As I got closer I found them. They were trying to hide in the darkest shade they could find right up against the barn. They were hot too... But as soon as the sun started setting they were out there rough housing and running - just not during the middle of the day  - too hot.

I got over to the Girls Sorority pen next...

Found Juliet and Marissa standing under the shade of the tree. They looked odd.. then I saw the water buckets and all the "mud" around the bucket. Seems that these two girls cooled off by splashing in the water. Can't blame them, I probably would climb in one if I needed to cool off.

Late one afternoon while out feeding... Darlene had an itch -

Wish I had it set on video.. she had that entire length of fence shaking, her head was going up and down a million miles an hour. It had to have felt good she looked like she was enjoying it.  You have to be creative when it comes to scratching I guess...

We have a new member of Animal Crackers - a new little friend.

This is Puss in Boots ( hey we just saw the movie last week ok ) I guess he heard the news that Hubby is a totally sap when it comes to cats. Every morning and every evening he is out hiding around the "cat house"... he has figured out our feeding times, and know we go in and out of the house to visit the cats and check their food and water. Yep.. Hubby now has a special place to feed Puss in Boots, but we have to watch over him and make sure he eats and when he is done pick up his bowl. We sort of guard him while he has his meals, otherwise... the 3 outside dogs or the 3 large donkeys will try and run him off to eat his food. Not that they don't have plenty of their own... they just like the new cat food. Each week we can get a bit closer to this guy. I am about 5 or 6 feet from friendship, Hubby is about 3 feet. We NEEDED another kitty you know...

Hubby called me out one day to see another new friend... Got a GREAT photo of him!

Hubby really has to help me spot them when they are hidden in the trees. Darn depth perception! But when they get out in a open area - Wow! He sure was a busy little woodpecker - And very handsome too!

Last photo this week - the start of a new project!

With the "new" toy I showed you Thursday.. we had to step up our priority list of projects. Things moved a little quicker than we planed for our Model T. So we are now in high speed to get our 1913 T a new home. And you can't park a wood wheeled car on gravel or dirt like all our other barns. So we called a friend who put us in touch with a great local man that does concrete work. Yesterday was day one - Next Monday they will finish the form, spread the gravel and then the plan is for Tuesday the trucks to come out and they spread the concrete! We have also purchased a great building that will make one fabulous Car Barn! It is killing us that the car has to stay in the trailer until we have things finished... so things are being done as fast as possible! Hopefully next Saturday I can show you a building up!

I think I am going to go and get some more ice water - I really do hope it isn't this hot where you are. Weather says it is going to cool down under 100 next week! Woo Hoo! That will be wonderful!

Have a great Saturday  - see you tomorrow for Me and My Space :0)

Home with our "NEW" toy -

Well just before dark last night Hubby got home with our "NEW" toy!!! We are both so excited, we have talked about getting one of these for years. Sadly I couldn't get any great photos of it.. as it is all safe and sound in the trailer.

Wanna See???

How cool is that??? It is a 1913 Model T Ford with all Brass!! It will be a little while before we can take off down the road... Needs just a bit of tune up, and a few little things before it is ready to go. And Hubby and I will have to do some practice driving around the property before we are ready to take on the world in it!

:0)   We are both like little kids we are so thrilled it is really ours!

Have a great day... we may be out staring at our new car all day -
