Cute Card Thursday - I am all a Flutter as this months Guest DT :0)

He He He... Yes I am having a ball as a Guest DT this month at Cute Card Thursday Challenge! And this week the challenge is a tweet or flutter - I went with a flutter :0)
For My card I use Stampavie's Penny Johnson's Butterfly Bear, just love this little guy - I colored with my Copics. The base is a pretty chocolate brown Bazzil card stock, and do you just adore that pattern paper or what??? OH my - it is part of the new Tim Holtz stack. The colors are just gorgeous. I love that this stack has full 12x12 of the patterns, then 6x6, the tiny squares then bands - of all the same papers so you can really coordinate your papers! I sewed everything together, then I wanted to use the new EK Success trellis jumbo chain punch and the new Butterfly chain - but the two together just didn't work like I thought... and then one of the "negative" butterflies dropped onto the trellis - - ta da!! Love this!!

And here is a close up of my little butterflies :0)
I added some adhesive bling, and some gold stickles.

Hope you will go and see all the Cute Cards - at Cute Card Challenge! Love all the birds and butterflies this week!

OH and my blog candy I hinted about earlier in the week.. I haven't forgotten - but I want to add a few things and thought I would pick up some special things at the CK Convention this Friday :0) Shopping for you - not that I need to go for me.. LOL

Have a wonderful Thursday - HUGS and-

Spoon Full of Sugar - Feeling like Fall?

Hello - Time for A Spoon Full of Sugar - This week it is feeling like Fall! Ok, so not really here where I am but I can see that it is getting slightly cooler in the near future :0) We went from mid 90's to this next week high 80's - I'll take it!  But it is fun to color pretending it is cooler!

For my card I played with one of the new Stampavie Sarah Kay images! Loving these new Sarah Kay girls!

This is "ChloĆ© watching the trees in the autumn wind"  Long name, I know, I just call her ChloĆ©.
I think she is so pretty - can't you feel the breeze? I colored with my Copics - then cut with Nesties and inked the edges.

For the pattern papers I went with K&Company Tim Coffy papers - love the feel of these papers, they feel textured, and warm. Sewed down simply with a straight stitch, oh and everything inked. The border across the bottom is from Martha Stewart, and banded with a dot ribbon. Stampin Up punch for the sentiment. And the sentiment.. uh well it is MIA! I hope it is just buried in my stash, and didn't get pitched in a cleaning frenzy... LOL sorry - the idea of me having a cleaning frenzy... HA! Point being I don't know who made it cuz I can't find it  - :0(

So does it feel like Fall where you are? I am so ready -

Have a wonderful Tuesday and Make sure to pop over to Spoon Full of Sugar :0)

Getting a bit nuts with Templates and Tutorials

Surfing the net can be so inspiring and well.. waste lots of time too :0) One of my favorite things to do is to go to a few of my favorite blogs - then surf off from their links. I can end up 20 or more links away from my start sometimes! This week I have been having fun following links to people and places that do templates and tutorials for 3-D fun.

One of my favorite places is My Time Made Easy - I just love Lauren's stuff - Gorgeous! My latest was her teapot.

But on one of my trips through blog land last week, I ran across a new blogger for me. Becky Roberts from Inking Idaho. And I just loved her templates too! Really cute! And was a perfect solution for one of my desk top needs!

You see I keep all of the latest release from Stampavie on my desk, they are used so much, just no need to put them away :0) - But well... those little slippery acrylic folders are well... slippery and hard to keep stacked up. Well one of Becky's templates is a "mini" magazine holder! OH too perfect and too cute!
This is the first one I made up - Now don't look too close, as I have a couple of little boo boo's I had to cover up and hide, but oh I love it on my desk!
It was really easy to put together, and again, the perfect size to hold my Stampavie images!
Had so much fun making this one.. well... I made up another one for a gift... wink wink.. it is on its way hope she likes it!
I made her's a bit more country... love the deep red color with the kraft paper -

Really was fun ... now I can't wait to make the little drawers to match mine. But there are some really cute purse templates too! Visit Becky HERE if you want to see her templates. Hope she doesn't mind me spreading the news. Tell her I sent you from Donkey Smiles that should give her a giggle.. LOL

Have a wonderful Monday - - - OH and I am putting together some Blog Candy for later in the week so pop back and see

Animal Crackers - So ready for Fall...

I think it is unanimous we are all more than ready for Fall to come in. We had one day of a bit cooler (high 80's) and less humid weather. Then things heated back up and with all the rain this week - it is just plain yucky outside! We so needed the rain, but almost 9 inches is more than enough for a few days..
Felipe was having a little breakfast. He is growing so fast, and is SUPER friendly, you have to sneak up to get sweet photos like this, once he sees you he puts those ears down, and trots towards you :0)
Jorge was having breakfast too... but his mom was in one of her moods. As soon as she saw I was heading towards her to snap photos, she took him off in a hurry. This is one thing I just hate about Macie, she has always been so skittish. We have to really work to make sure her babies are not the same way.
Felicia is Macie's daughter from last summer, she is not like her Mom in the least. Very friendly - but like her Mom and her older sister Lina, she is short, and had those beautiful big eyes.
I thought this was a funny photo - don't you all lay in your breakfast? Goats are really weird. I just don't understand their fascination to lay and roll in their alfalfa. But Lucy is pretty sitting there isn't she?
What a handsome little man.. I just wish he was as well behaved as he looks.. sigh. Man we are going through a time here! I just hope he is going to out grow all of these bad habits... that or one of us will  not live through it! Seriously - I need to not let those big brown eyes get away with as much as he does... that face just melts me ;0)
Libbie is pretty well behaved - except for two things - barking outside, and well.. just ignoring us when she is outside and sees something that interest her. A donkey, A goat, A bird flying by, A grasshopper, A bumble bee, heck a breeze - doesn't matter - she lives in her own little world. Wasn't interested in a photo this week at all, I finally got her to come in with just one word - "COOKIE???"  Then I have her full attention and yes Mam what ever you need.

Hope you enjoyed Animal Crackers today - and that you have a wonderful weekend planned. How about hugging something furry for a smile :0)

Just Magnolias - a wonderful sketch!

It is Friday! WOW this week has been a weird long and fast week! The labor day holiday Monday really made a wonderful long weekend, but it has messed my whole week up - add on top of that a Tropical Storm (Hermine) coming right across the top of us, something that rarely happens here in central Texas - at least right on top of - Well we have been just floating this past week. We have had over 8 inches here, not nearly as bad as some in our area, but lets just say that the dry dirt.. is now really thick wet gooey mud! Then the sun comes out yesterday and whew.. HOT, HUMID and just plain YUCKY!

Well in all that rain - I did find some time to craft! Just Magnolias this week is a great sketch by fellow DT Dawn!
I loved working with this sketch, and with my new papers by GCD - Ella Blue collection! Really gave me a shabby feel - and this sketch was perfect to do some distressing with the papers, and it show off. I sewed down each layer to the sketch after distressing the edges. I was going to ink the edges as well, but decided I like the white showing - hmmm  what do you think?  My Tilda is colored with my Copics, stickles for the wings and sewed down to the same dark brown card mat on the cool blue base.

The sentiment, by Hero Arts, is stamped on a piece of scrap from the base, then punched with a Stampin Up punch. For some added embellishment there are four adhesive pearls.

This is really a fun sketch, hope you will give it a go - and join us at JUST MAGNOLIAS.

Now I have to run.. Wish me luck - practicing my driving today.. highway, and parking lots of the shopping center in town!! The reward is that at the end of the drive I am meeting my good buddy Tracey for a pedicure - :0) Oh and I am sure she will have to have Starbucks too, right Tracey? LOL

Have a wonderful Friday! See you for Animal Crackers tomorrow :0)

Guest at Cute Card Thursday - A Play on Words

I am having so much fun with the challenges as this months guest at Cute Card Thursday.  And this week the challenge is to make a card with a Play on words... a sentiment with a pun type of saying in it.

Now I will admit for a while I just didn't know what I could work with... then I found one of the new Christmas images from Stampavie Laurence Collection and the name of the stamp was right there.... A Purrfect Christmas - so I made up my card and typed out a sentiment to go along with it -
I colored with my Copics and then cut out with one of the Nesties Labels Dies. All of the papers are from Kaisercraft's Christmas Carnival Collection, layered with card stock colors to match and sewed together. There is also an EK Success border with a zig zag embossing. I felt it needed some bling - so I stickled the edges of the image and my computer generated sentiment. Was fun.. and punny to make!

Have to run now.. man the weather has really taken away my computer time the past three days! Due to Tropical Storm Hermine, we have had way over 8 inches of rain here and our power keeps going off and on, even when the sun is out! Anyway, I have left the computer off for a while to save it from doing damage. And man I miss it!

Hope you will pop over to Cute Card Thursday - it is a fabulous challenge site with an amazing DT that I have had a blast playing with!

Spoon Full of Sugar - Animals!

Spoon Full of Sugar this week has gone to the animals! Now how easy and fun is that - use animals on your card!

I was thrilled to ink up one of the new Stampavie Penny Johnson images ... Dearest Deer - love these two, perfect for a Christmas card!

I colored with my Copics (of course) with a chalk background. I then used some Martha Steward snow flock for the snow, then added just a bit of Lace Stickles for some shine. I inked the edges of them once cut out with my circle Nesties.
For the card I went with a standing easel card, the papers are all from My Minds Eye O'Christmas Tree Collection. REALLY love this Christmas stack - All the layers are sewed together with red and green card stock. And all the pattern papers are inked. For the sentiment I used a Cloud 9 epoxy sticker, on a card stock Sizzix fancy Tag die cut. Then to help hold my easel standing I found four red fabric brads in my stash.

Hope you will join the Spoon Challenge this week - we all have animal stamps! And the prize is always wonderful!

Suppose to get some really bad weather here today... a tropical storm moving across Texas. We SO NEED the rain... they are predicting 2-12 inches. The two I can handle.. the 12 would be just a bit much - Hope you have a wonderful Tuesday!
