Animal Crackers - Darlene

Howdy - 

Last Weekend was tough - We had to say Goodbye to Darlene. Now as sad as we are, you have to celebrate the lady. She had a great long life. She almost made it to 33 years old. In human years that translates to about 99! So she lived a good life! We were really hoping to have a party for that big day in May. But she was ready - 

 

 It is hard to believe that she been a member of our family for nearly 23 years... WOW. We laugh thinking back to that day when we bought her. She was "old" I mean really she was 10 years old! Should we buy her? But she was so amazingly sweet and I just feel in love with her the minute she walked up to me and shoved her head against me. I had to have her!

Over the years she has given us some wonderful babies. She was such an amazing Mom. So much so she occasionally tried to "borrow" some of the other babies from time to time when she didn't have any of her own. 

She Love Babies! LOL - We just said she liked to "babysit"!

Always a beautiful lady - She would slick off in the summer and be gorgeous. 

And then winter she would get so furry and adorable.

We are going to miss her like CRAZY! She was our first Miniature Donkey we picked out. Our matriarch - But we keep telling ourselves how blessed we were to have her and to have her 23 years!
