Whimsy Stamps- Espresso-ly Great

Howdy -

This week for Whimsy Stamps I played with one for the new fun Clear Sets by Krista Heij-Barber. "Espresso-ly Great" has so many fun projects that can be made with it! And perfect for those friends that live on their coffee fixes!

Aren't those little smiling cups cute? This is just a few of the stamps in this set - I lined up three of the cups and then used two of the sentiments - I colored with my Copics and then sewed down all the papers with straight and zig zag stitches. For some added dots of "coffee" I added a few enamel dots!

Copic colors used-

Fun set with lots of caffeine built in! LOL Now don't tell anyone... but I don't like Coffee..shh I know it is a horrible thing... just never liked the bitterness and I really don't enjoy hot drinks so it is one of those things I just live happily without. Its ok... Hubby drinks enough for both of us!

Now to get over to the set quick click the image of the stamps below and it will pop you over!

Whimsy Stamps - October Release - Dancing in the Snow

Howdy -

Have you been watching all the new releases at the Whimsy Stamps Blog? Such a fun release so many wonderful winter images. Today I am sharing "Dancing in the Snow" by Krista Heij-Barber.

Isn't he a cute little penguin? I colored with my Copics (colors below) and for some fluffy fun I added Marvy Snow Marker and heated it up so it would puff up. this stuff is so fun! My papers are from Paper Studios Christmas collection. I sewed down the layers on a white card stock. Then I used Whimsy Die words for my sentiment "Magical" and "Wishes" are both from the Birthday Wishes set.

Simple card but I love how the penguin is front and center and fills the card.

Howdy -

The new release at Whimsy Stamps is just too much fun to play with! And how can you not have fun coloring up this new image from Krista Heij-Barber called "Reindeer Kitty"

I know this look... happened to me the first time I but those same Reindeer horns on one of our dogs. Yep... they don't like them. LOL I colored with my  Copics and then tried something out of my box. I love how this image looks with the Clean and Simple look to it. HARD for me to do and pull off! But I tried. I doodled on the edges and placed with a piece of pattern paper from Paper Studio. I colored in the sentiment that comes with this great stamp and placed it on the top corner. So hard to not do more but I think I like it... I think. LOL

Whimsy Stamps - Mister Mummy

Howdy -

You have plans for you Halloween Treats? Well Whimsy Stamps has a few new images that are just perfect to say Trick or Treat!

This is Mister Mummy by Krista Heij-Barber

Simply Adorable right? Love this little mummy cutie. I colored with my Copics and then loosely cut around it. It comes with the fun sentiment as part of the image. The "bag" is a Sizzix Big Shot Pro Die that goes together really quickly. I used dark purple card stock, with a green and white pattern papers that I used a very old scallop scissors to cut the edges. A ribbon for a top. Was really quick to put together.

How cute would it be to make a bunch of these and hand them out to your favorite trick or treaters? Or what if you are a school teacher? You could make up one for each student and have them on the desk for the school party! Or gifts for office co-workers! Wow the list goes on an on. And these really do go together pretty fast so one evening while watching your favorite program and you would have the best treats!

Have a wonderfully blessed day - And have some fun coloring!

Whimsy Stamps - Lazy Days of Summer

Howdy -

Whimsy Stamps today and with the heat here in Texas this image by Krista Heij-Barber called "Lazy Days of Summer"

Now isn't she lovely.. chillin' in her polka dot bikini. LOL She just cracks me up! I colored with my Copics (colors below) It comes with the sentiment so I just colored that up too! With a kraft card stock base, white card stock mats and then Paper Studio's polka dot pattern paper, to match her bathing suit :0)

For the band across the middle I found a satin ribbon that matched and layered Martha Stewart Loop borders on each side. I used the matching corner punch to create corners at the top of the card with Enamel Dots. Fun card don't you think?

Howdy-

New Release time at Whimsy Stamps!!! This May Release has more wonderful new things as it all Whimsy Stamps products are!

For my first card I went for a fun childs or guy card. I just love the new "Sand Pail Creatures" by Krista Heij-Barber.

Now when I first started this card I was going pastels beachy... and some how things just ended up going bold and totally different! I think for starts I found my pencils... so I did a bit of Copics and then added more bold texture with my pencils. When the image went bold I guess the papers did as well. Red White and Black.. with a bit of table cloth looking pattern paper from Paper Studio. I sewed all the layers down and found a fun Birthday Sentiment from Whimsy Stamps Clear collections, "Happy Birthday to You final" Love this set! One of those must haves! for sure!

And then I just had to add lots of those Whimsy Stamps Enamel Dots! Adore those!

Whimsy Stamps New Release - Sunflower Smile

Howdy -

New Release time at Whimsy Stamps!! And I just love Spring stamps! Don't you?  For my first card this month I chose to work with a little set of stamps called "Sunflower Smile" by Krista Heij-Barber.

Now first yes, I know Sunflowers are suppose to be yellow.... but these looks a lot like Gerber Daisys to me. I LOVE Gerbers... So I colored up my happy flowers in red! (colored with my Copics, colors below) Then I cut them out with a small white border. So they would pop I placed them on some bold Paper Studio Papers, that I sewed together with a zig zag stitch. Placed on a kraft card stock base. I colored one of the sentiments that came with the set to match the flowers. I LOVE when I can color up the sentiment! And this set has great sentiments! Then to add just a bit of fun I added three Whimsy Stamps Enamel Dots. I am just going to have to order up more of these! They are so perfect and easy to stick and enjoy!

And then Copic colors used -

Kraft card stock for the base, and then a pretty blue card stock with a piece of Paper Studio Country Roads paper, then a pretty Die'sire Doily Lattice that I colored the little flowers to match the ones in the image. Whimsy Stamps - Count down to Christmas Day 23

Howdy -

Have you been enjoying the Count down to Christmas at Whimsy Stamps? Today is my turn again and it is Day 23. And this close to Christmas I thought it would be fun to remind you "Don't Peek" at those Christmas presents.

I colored with Copics (colors below) and of course I had to use lots of red and green. Green card stock base and red card stock for the mats and lots of papers from Graphic 45. For a little lace look I used the Whimsy Stamps Die "Double Scallop Doily". All the layers are sewn together and then the perfect sentiment "Don't Peek" that comes with the image!! Three red buttons to finish it off. Love the grin on this little elf's face!

Copic colors used -

This has been so much fun counting down the days with Whimsy! Be sure to pop back and visit for the last few days! See you tomorrow for Animal Crackers!

Whimsy Stamps - Warm Hugs Bird

Howdy -

Today I have been coloring up another new Whimsy Stamps image "Warm Hugs Bird" by Krista Heij-Barber

Just love these two birdies. I pulled out my copics to color and for some reason I went with blue... I wanted to do red, but then decided to go with non traditional blue and black for this card. I found papers from Authentique Bundle collection. I added Marvy Snow Marker for the snow on the branch and the tops to their hats.

I added some black vintage ribbon as a band and then used pop dots for the image so it had a little depth on the card. Three Viva Decor Charcoal Paint Pen dots in the corner to finish it off.

Inside the same papers.

Copic colors used -

Really enjoyed these little birds ... and there is so much more to see that is new this month at Whimsy Stamps. You can pop there quick HERE to see them all.

Hope you have a wonderfully blessed day - and see you tomorrow for Animal Crackers.

Whimsy Stamps - Give Thanks

Howdy -

This week for Whimsy Stamps I used the new images by Krista Heij-Barber called "Give Thanks". Great Fall set of images with a little "whimsy" to them!

Great fun set I colored and cut them apart to layer them. (copic colors below) I then used Ranger Tea Dye ink around the edges to cut the white of the paper. Love those little smiling faces. I then printed a piece of the new Whimsy Digital Paper! This great leaf paper is from the Fall Harvest 1 Set.  I layered the digital paper on a Core-dinations dark orange piece that I sanded. A Cream colored card stock all on a kraft card stock base. I used a zig zag stitch to put it all together. A vintage lace border then added a Whimsy Stamps Shapeology Double Scallop Doily Die cut that I cut in half. I added a little more ink to the edges to tone them down. Then for some odd reason I went a bit nuts with some vintage buttons.... not sure why - not sure I like it, but once they were glued down I had to run with it.

Copic colors used -

Fun different style for me! Like these images for some fun fall cards. They could be added to any other images as well and there are so many to choose from in the set.

Make sure to visit the Whimsy Stamps Store and see all the fun!! And speaking of fun... if you want a great time check your calendar and see about joining Whimsy for.....
