Whimsy Inspirations - Friends like you are priceless!

Howdy -

Made this card up as a Thank You for a friend -  then I forgot to show it off here! Loved how it turned out, but I am always a little over the moon about Crissy Armstrong images!

This is from Crissy's Whimsy Stamps - "The Gang's All Here"

I made an easel card - Colored with my Copics (colors below) I matched it up with lots of dies - mainly the Double Scallop Square Die  creates such a great mat background don't you think? Then I used Vine and flower dies to fill in lots! Love that -

Don't you love making cards for someone that really appreciates them? They don't say.. "Oh how cute" and then just toss it out. This friend is that kind of special person that makes you feel good when you make them a handmade card - so I enjoy making them for them!

Here are the Copic colors used -

Hope you are having a great day -

Whimsy Inspirations - YOU and ME

Howdy-

This week I was going through some of my favorite Whimsy Digital Images. I came across LiaStampz "You and Me" this is such a great image for anniversary card don't you think?

Sweet couple - I colored with my Copics (colors below) then went back with my pencils to shade. Seemed like a cool fall day with the image so I added some fluffy clouds. I then inked the edges of the images as it just seemed to bright with the papers. The papers are Prima Marketing Cigar Box - love the vintage feel - I added two die cuts from Whimsy's Double Scallop Border Die such a great die. I found a silky ribbon and created a band with a bow. Then six dots of my Viva Decor Paper Pen to create faux pearls.

Inside I used scraps of the papers.

Copic colors used -

Had fun with this one  - was so nice to work off a clean desk. It has been months since I saw the entire top of the desk! LOL Now to find the rest of the craft room... another day as I am having fun coloring right now.

Hope you have some fun today -

Whimsy Stamps Inspiration - Floppy Hatted Pig

Howdy  -

Last night I went through more of my favorite older Whimsy Digital images. I needed another birthday card for a friend and this little piggie is just right....

This is "Floppy Hatted Pig" from Crissy's Digis -  just too cute don't you think?

I colored with my Copics (colors below) and then went to work on my card -

My papers are from Pink Paislee - I sewed down the layers, die cut a doiley, then found a Whimsy sentiment, Celebrations Circle Pennants - not used as traditional used.. but I wanted to also use the circle Slider Die 2... so I made them work for me. LOL I colored a satin seam binding ribbon with a copic and then dotted them with Viva Decor Pearl Pen.

Inside my scraps -

I found a piece of ribbon for a bow. Then found a Whimsy Digital sentiment that went well.

Inside the card I used the scraps -

Whimsy Stamps - Pin the Tail on the Donkey

Howdy -

You ever have one of those weeks and you just need some "me time" therapy. That is coloring a favorite image for me. I love working on all the images I have, but there are those few that really do just make me hum and feel good working with them. And this one is that for sure!

Crissy's Digitals - "Pin the Tail on the Donkey"

See I bet you are smiling! Just a beautiful donkey isn't she? I say she cuz a bow like that and those eye lashes.. she has to be a she. I colored with my Copics - (colors are normally below... but sorry I could have sworn I took a photo of them and they were not on the camera. So it is my brain or the digital camera... I am blaming the camera ok? )  Punched the border with a Martha Stewart punch, papers are from Pink Paisley called "Hope Chest". Then added some punched branches and leaves with mulberry flowers.

Here is the inside with the scraps of paper -

Really made me feel so much better after a rough week to work with this image. Don't you have an image that does that for you? If not... or if you just want another... you need this one! Order it from Whimsy as a Digital image HERE . Make sure to tell them that Michelle said you had to have it as it is a favorite!!!

Have a great day! We cleaned out an Antique Booth at a mall.... sigh, just wasn't working out for us. So now I have find somewhere to put all this inventory until I can sell them on eBay or take to our next show.

Whimsy Inspiration - Grumpy Cat

Howdy -

I had this card scheduled for last week, and something in computer land went wrong. Imagine that - So here is my inspiration card for Whimsy Stamps -

This little kitty cracks me up - His name is "Grumpy Cat" by Miss Rach's Digital Collection.

He is just too cute! I colored with my Copics (colors below)  I wanted a simple card to mail easy as a "Missing You" type of card. Don't he look like he is sad and missing someone?

Papers are from my scraps - I found a black ribbon with white stitching. White was way way too white, so I colored it with the same copics as the back ground of the kitty. Dotted some Viva Decor Paper Pen on the top right corner then added a sentiment "Miss You" from Miss You collection   Wonderful digital Sentiment Collection to have LOTS of good choices.

Inside of the card same papers -

Copics used -

This one was fun to do - Things are so busy around here that these fun more simple cards are working well for me.... and I love that they are so much easier to put into an envelope. Hate the look that postal lady gives me when my envelopes are big and lumpy. I love lots on cards, and big lumpy... but well... these are just really nice to work with too.

Need to get my chores done early today... I am spending lots of time out with the little chicks in their new pen. They seem to be really enjoying the room and running all around!

Have a wonderful day -

Whimsy Inspiration - This little dog reminded me...

Howdy -
Now when I was looking for an image I ran across this sweet little guy from Crissy's Digi's.

He is from the Scottish Terrier Set -  well he reminded me so much of a friends dog that I just had to color him up and send it to him! Yes I addressed the card to the dog... They are part of the family too!
It isn't very easy to color a dog to match the real thing. But I think he looks close. I mailed it off earlier in the week, I so hope they already got it and I am not spoiling the surprise here.

I colored with my Copics (colors below) and then cut with an oval nestie. The papers are from Farm House - Kountry Kitchen collection. Love these papers - I used dark red and black card stock, then die cut out a lace border from MFT. Then a vintage black and cream colored ribbon tied in a bow.  The papers are all sewn in a zig zag stitch. Viva Decor Black Pen for the dots. The sentiment is also from Whimsy and is part of one of my favorite collections - Cute and Cuddly Sentiments.

Inside the card is left over papers to match -

Copic Colors used -

Hope they like it and it gives them a smile - I just got to know their furry child really... and he is a sweetheart! They are lucky to have found such a great little guy and he is pretty darn lucky to have such a great family that love him.

Have a wonderful day -

Happy Easter Card!

Howdy -

Today I have an Easter Card! This image just made me smile when I saw it. Whimsy Stamps artist LiaStampz Digi's are a favorite for me, and "Bunny Costume" is just a cutie don't you think?

Colored with my Copics (colors below) I went with some bold coloring and just a tiny bit of shading for the costume. Easter Bunnies need to be white right? Used up some scrap papers on my desk from My Minds Eye. Added a satin green ribbon, lots of mulberry flowers with leaf punches. Then I printed out a Whimsy Digital Sentiment "Easter Sentiments" This is a wonderful collection of sentiments! And a great deal too!

Inside are the same papers -

Copics used -

I am having so much fun with all these spring fun images! And there are so many new ones at Whimsy! And you can have them so fast and do so much with Digitals! Change the size - add together - print in different colors.. Have you tried Digital Images yet? Head over to Whimsy Stamps Digital Images and see all that there is to offer! Digital Sentiments are a must!! Go ahead and give it a go...

Hopefully the weather is going to be nice today. Hoping to do some Spring cleaning outside and then a bit inside as well today. Yesterday the sun never came out and it drizzled all day... very yucky depressing feeling. I love the rain don't get me wrong but love that Spring Sun when I am outside!

Hope you have the sun where you are!
