Animal Crackers - Movement and Sound

Howdy - Something a little different for todays Animal Crackers post - I went out the other afternoon and just sat and watched the baby goats with their normal activity. I could sit and watch them forever. While sitting there I took out my phone and shot a little video for you -

Now hold back the doggies and kitties... cuz there is sound with this :0) So you will hear the babies talking to each other, but so it doesn't freak you out of your chair... the donkeys are screaming in the background. It was really close to dinner time and they were trying very hard to get our attention away from the goats. And before you ask... the loud scream among the donkey hee haws... that is a donkey. That is Ellie Mae and that was one of her lame screams, they are usually much longer and louder. OH and excuse the beep during the video... my phone was dying.

Totally loved Tuco coming over to the fence and sniffing two of the babies. Such a cutie! The head butting just cracks me up. The littlest ones get in there and take on them all!

Hope you enjoy... and don't worry I am out there taking more photos of them at play. Yesterday we enlarged the goat pen by more than double the size. So they are having a blast running and playing. :0) And most importantly... we separated the bucks more! I so hope it helps with the fighting between the fences.

Have a great Saturday!

This is Addie the Acrobat from Crissy Digi's - and I think he is just the absolutely cutest thing ever.... And I so feel like that during the holidays sometimes! Like you are just hanging on! ... LOL

I colored with my Copics (colors below), then cut out with an oval nestie - cutting out the candy canes first to have the pop out of the oval. My papers are from Graphic 45 and Core'dinations new Silk Glitter papers - love this!!  I sewed the layers down, then cut behind Addie and ran satin ribbon behind him. Added two bows - sort of looks like a present all wrapped up doesn't it? I didn't add a sentiment yet... feeling like this could be a fun "hang in there" type of card for a friend during the season.

Here are my Copic colors.

Me and My Space - Antique Mall Case

Howdy!

So we did go to the Antique Mall yesterday - you knew we would didn't you? I took a few photos of our display case and our booth - thought you might like to see :0) So today I thought I would show our display case - next week I'll do the booth.

The cases are great - they are 4ft x 8 ft with glass doors and lights, all along the wall up by the check out of the mall. This is a great place to put all those items with a little more value or that are so small they may be "misplaced".

We stuffed our case FULL!

You can see we love the toys. I hope others do too :0)

A few close ups...

Our Schoenhut Humpty Dumpty Circus Animals - Won't be sad if that Lion doesn't sell... it might have to come home. I took in a couple donkeys too - shocking I know, but I kept the two best ones at home.

Here is a sampling of some of my "breakables". Hubby isn't too impressed with the baby plates, but I love all the different patterns and shapes. The souvenir items in the center - from my collection years ago. Thinning out things and decided to sell a bunch. Our new passion... creamware, pearlware and children's dishes from the 18th and early 19th century. You can see two on the left. We are really trying to seek this older stuff down. Hubby has gone totally nuts for the creamware that is hand painted... not easy to find though - I'll try and show some of that off in a later post. That isn't in our for sale things though.

The dolls... oh yea I have lots of those for sale. I told you a while back that I purchased a collection of 80 dolls. Yep 80!  I have one shelf packed with dolls of all eras - Composition, wood, rubber, bisque and china- I guess they date from 1860's to 1950's I would say that is all eras wouldn't you?

And the other side of the shelf. I really love the Patsy like dolls (far left) And a few of the bisque German dolls were hard to price and sell - they are so pretty. I love the one in the hat and the one pointing. Going through all the bisque dolls, and finding the makers and dates from the marks on their necks was really interesting. The last month I have been really learning a ton about dolls.

That front one in the dot dress you may recognize.. Shirley Temple. And that sitting one in the front, the little composition baby - she is really gorgeous, and I love her bonnet with the wide dark red ribbon.

Another favorite of mine is the cast iron toys - and the pressed steel and tin toys - Those little cast iron toys in the front were a collection I purchased from one dealer, Kilgores - They are in amazing condition - I just hope that someone comes in and loves them as much I do... you can see I have a few of those! And the cast iron stove just amaze me. I had 6 of them in the beginning. Only two left. Most of the ones I had were Arcade and Hubley's. Both great makers of cast iron toys.

There is also a shelf with Yelloware, and more creamware, a few more tin toys and then the bottom shelf is Hubby's huge pressed steel trucks from Keystone and Buddy L - you know Man toys. They are pretty cool though. From the 1920's and they are very detailed. Water tank trucks actually spray water, dump trucks work and are great for imaginations and moving lots of dirt. And all the different Army Trucks - I once asked Hubby why the Army trucks are always so hard to find in good condition - he looked at me and said you never played war with trucks as a kid did you? Uh.. nope I was playing with dolls! LOL

The mall is having a big sale this weekend. All the booths are adding discounts for the weekend. So if you like antiques and happen to be in the Round Rock area (north Austin) - stop in the Antique Gallery a huge mall with LOTS of isles of booths filled with goodies.

Hope you liked seeing our first display case in the antique mall -

So what is your Sunday like? We are doing the ritual morning breakfast with the locals. Then we have some friends that want to come and see the baby goats. Then... those chores we skipped out on yesterday.. yuck! LOL

Have a wonderful day -

Animal Crackers - still at 14

Howdy -
We will are still holding at 14 kids here. Now when they are all out and playing it looks more like 44! We were trying to count them yesterday morning. I like to do that just to make sure no one is missing. And I bet we counted 10 - 15 times! They were everywhere! But man they are fun to watch.

We are now starting to see personalities. Love that. And it kills me when one of the boys is turning out to be stunning and has the friendliest personality. Cuz we all know I can't keep boys. Well except for Hank from last Spring... LOL.  But let me tell you... Hank has a brother now... His Mom Lucy had triplets this time, Charles, Lady Di and Camilla. And Charles - well I think he is gonna be just like Hank! He is adorable, super playful and looks like he is gonna be very friendly!

Kinda looks like he is smiling doesn't it? LOL Love the marking on him. Those red little horns just kill me! He is gonna be a hard one to loose! You think maybe I can talk Hubby into a "pet" goat? hmmmm

Here is a photo that just cracks me up! Almost two weeks old and the kids have already figured out the table. I could spend hours out there watching them play. Here Charles had figured out the top of the table for the first time yesterday morning. And he was oh so proud of himself! He was jumping, running and dancing from one end to the other. Anytime anyone else would make it to the top he would shove them to the edge and make them jump down to the seat again. It was as if he was putting on a show for everyone and wanted to keep everyone in the audience until he was done!

Told you... this guy has so much personality! LOL

I can't believe how fast they are changing though. Climbing already...

Learning to head butt (Being good at this will assure the highest status and ranking in the pen as an adult you know)

Laverne and Luke were really going at it yesterday morning. Luke is just a little bigger than Laverne, but she wasn't giving in at all! She may be a girl but in the goat world Girls can rule the pen!

They are already copying their Moms and picking up the hay and "eating"... ok carrying and chewing on.

Paul carried this one piece of hay around forever... until one of the other kids took it from him at least.

Here is just plain adorable. Shirley is the smallest of all the kids. She is a cuddlier too. She was my bonding bath baby if you remember last week.

She is just too cute for words. I think she will end up looking a lot like Sandy my bottle baby from Spring. Sandy is her Aunt... yes Aunt. Man it gets hard to get all the genealogy straight in my head sometimes. No worries though... I get it down on paper just in case.. LOL

Another one that is going to be just as sweet is ... well her name says it all. Sweet Pea -

Sweet Pea is the only surviving baby from Belle. Who by the way is doing much better now. We had a few really scary days there with her. I won't lie, for a little while I didn't think she was going to make it, physically and then mentally. But by the middle of the week she was more herself. Except for one thing. She isn't quite as skittish as she was. Belle is one of my pretty but don't touch goats. She never has let us love on her much at all. But now, if I talk to her and move really slow, she lets me rub on her and scratch around on her.  And her baby Sweet Pea, well I held that little one a whole lot those first couple of days. And take a look at her markings, she is gonna be a really striking girl. Darn it.. just wish she had gotten her Mom and Dad's blue eyes!!!!  Genetics just don't make any sense to me!

Tried to get some doggie photos for you this week too... Libbie gets so board with me and my camera now a days.

Is that a yawn or what??? Well it was just after 7 am when we were outside yesterday morning, and Libbie does enjoy her beauty rest -

This shot is a little better...

Now Tuco... I would tell you that he was sleepy too in this photo. But this guy he wakes up going 110 miles and hour. Full steam ahead. But by the time I got him to slow down outside and stand still for 2 seconds to snap a photograph. He was already worn out again. It is hard work keeping up with all three of the other dogs, "Dad", "Mom", Goats and the donkeys you know... but he tries!

This is his serious face. He has so many facial expressions and looks it cracks me up. But here is also a wet mess!  Autie, Chica and Tuco always come in a wet mess in the mornings. Libbie, hardly ever, she wouldn't allow herself to get messy I don't think.

Can you believe how grown up Tuco is? Doesn't seem that long ago that he was so tiny and weak I had to feed him with a syringe. And now... he is really close to Autie's size.  He is such a love - and handsome too!

Well better run... The Antique Mall we have a booth in is having a big sale today. They said many of the vendors come in and man their booths and help with the crowds. Hubby and I were going to work around the house, but we are talking and thinking it might be good to head into town and do a few hours there.... hmmmm cleaning, chores, computer work.... or Antique Mall and big sale.....
