Dust It Off Sunday - Penny Johnson's Sweet Dreams -

For today's Dust If Off Sunday - I dusted off an image that I colored so long ago I don't remember coloring it. Possibly after CHA last year? Maybe.. Yea I think so. That is when I was in a chalk mood, and using them a lot of backgrounds and coloring.  Here is Stampavie's Penny Johnson "Sweet Dreams".

I wanted to make a card for today and try and not think it through to much. Sometimes I think I over complicate the layouts and spend too much time on them. One reason I love sketches so much! So for today's card I wanted to just go for it and try and make a card in under 30 minutes. (Not including coloring time)
So this one is a 28 minute card! And I really am happy with how it came out. The papers are all DCWV "At Home" collection. I wanted pattern paper with tans browns and blues to go with the image, and came across this collection. The glittered clock paper just made me chuckle with my personal challenge to do the card in under 30! So I cut out a few patterns, distressed the edges of everything and sewed down it all - again with out thinking to much I just laid out the papers quickly.

I tied a satin ribbon around the middle, and the found a sentiment from Hero Arts that I liked. Then found a Buttercup Liquid Pearls to high light the moon and stars. As well as the candle.

Happy! And I really do think I over think so many cards/projects that I work on. Sometimes, I really wish I could just push it all out of my mind and go with it. Maybe time limits is my way? Well that is the only way my Mother could get me to clean my room as a kid... so maybe this is my way :0) LOL

Have a wonderful Sunday - Hope the weather is nice where you are. Spring has started to show here, and it is really wonderful to see all the trees coming to life and the grass growing so quickly - ugh... then I think about the fact that mowing will have to start up again! HA! Oh well gotta take the bad with the good sometimes.
HUGS and-

This is so cute Michelle, so you can definately easily make a gorgeous card in a short time, so maybe you are right? But I know, what it´s like, as I´m the same myself. I also thinks too much about each one and is always afraid, it wount be good enoug, but sometimes, you just have to forget and just go with the first thought you got, I think, then it gets the best, and this is absolutely gorgeous, and I just love it.

What a nice card in such short time. Sometimes I manage to do it as well quick, but another time I am just not getting it the way I have it in mind. I guess we all struggle with this. By the way I forgot to tell you in my comment of yesterday that your cherry tree looks gorgeous. I am waiting for my pear tree to start to blossom, but guess I have to wait a little longer. Hugs from Holland.
