Bella and I would like you to meet....

FERNANDO! (I think I will be calling him Freddie)
Is this one handsome little dude or what?

Oh my he is soooo cute, LOL all of them are. I won't go into the details, but it was a long hard birth for poor Bella. And until just a few minutes ago I was thinking I was going to be staying home a lot more than normal... I thought I was going to have to bottle feed this one. Poor Bella was so sore, well is still so sore. That we had to tie her up to let him feed last night, and again this morning. But she is now letting him eat for short periods on his own now. Her milk bag was so full and hurt so bad it will take time for that to go away and things be normal, so we will still keep a close eye on Bella and Fernando. And Doc will be out sometime tomorrow to check on both of them.
Ok, so Daddy is our Spot Jack... my smiling donkey on the left. We have had three from this Jack... two dark browns and now a grey dun... so much for his spots passing down. But hey healthy is all that really matters!
Of course Dad has his photo taken with each baby the morning they are born. Bella was still a bit nervous, but she is such a sweet donkey it was all ok with her.
This photo is to show off Freddie's legs... I don't know how well you can see, but oh my! He has the most gorgeous bracelets on all four legs! Usually they may have a couple here and there, but this little guy has at least 7 or 8 on each leg!
I didn't show any of the photos from the middle of night birth... Hubby just doesn't like those... but I had to show off the gang at the Maternity Window. They were all so curious, and concerned about their friend Bella. I love Diego's head on Lacey's rear end on the far left.... Hey it was about 2:30am... he was tired... heck we were all tired!
Hope this brought a smile, I am grinning from ear to ear.... until I pass out! But first I am going to go out and check on things. Hope you have a great Sunday -
HUGS and-

Oh my goodness, he is adorable. My dh's name is Fernando. Wait until I tell him there is a donkey named Fernando. Hey, since we never had boys, I named a goat after him:-) Some of Fernando's (Anglo)friends called him Fred...I couldn't figure out where they got Fred from, so it's funny you are calling the little guy Freddie.
How do you get Fred out of Fernando?
Love your sight.

Like I said yesterday, there is nothing in the world cuter than a fuzzy baby mini donkey! Fernando is a cutie pie in the biggest way. I just adore the way their cute little foreheads are so fluffy fuzzy and he does have beautiful leg bars. Part of the reason I own the mule I do is because of her leg bars that are like his. Awwww, I wish I could pick him up and love on him. It’s been too long since I’ve snuggled my face into the sweet fuzzy forehead of a baby mini donkey. Congrats to you and Bella and may you all get the rest you deserve!

Michelle- OMG he is beautiful. I was so excited when I opened and saw this (been gone all day) that DH and my son had to come and see him. So we have some comments:
1. You have a cute little ass (LOL!)
2. Are the baby donkeys always born with the tuft of fur on the top of the head (almost a fashionable hairstyle I might add!)
3. How big is a newborn donkey?
Yeah I know, lots of questions from me... but hey, when you bring in the entire family and share then you gotta be in the know. Oh- and give Bella a hug for me, she did a beautiful job- glad to hear she is better. Thanks for sharing baby news!

Michelle you said you hoped it brought a smile....I was smileing so hard my cheeks hurt, all the while reading the blog and looking at the pictures. He is sooooo adorable. I love the fuzzy tuft, they all get! Love his name...Fernando.. I know a man with that name and the name he goes by is Sandy...so go figure!
Bella sweet Bella made it thru safely...thank goodness. Such a beautiful baby! Your husband looks so cute holding the babies always. I love how it gives a reference as to there real size. Love how all are waiting at the maternity window to make sure all is well also...it's just too darn cute! There is probably one in the group that would jump right in there and tell her how to do everything the right way too! LOL
Congratulations!!! Thanks for the sweet inspiration! Cynde
