A Spoon for a Child... and Baby photos!

Hello and Good Tuesday. It is time for A Spoon Full of Sugar Challenge! And this week as I said is just about some fun cards. The Challenge this week we would love you to make a card for a child and we have a fab prize this week which has very kindly been donated by Summer from
Roses on paper . Now that is just plain fun. Kids cards are all about fun and color right?

Well my card I decided to use a Rachelle Anne Miller image "Playtime". I love these turtles! And one main reason I wanted to use this image is to say CONGRATS to Rachelle Anne herself! I don't know if you have heard but she gave birth to a gorgeous baby boy last week! You can see photos of her, her husband, Brad and beautiful baby Isaac Alexander on her blog HERE.

My card is all done in greens and blues in honor of the baby Isaac. I love the glitter papers from DCWV Nursery Baby Boy. I chose three patterns... you ask where are three? Well the stripe, dots and then that scallop with the "ribbon" that matches the dot paper, well that is a section from the third pattern, I just cut it down! I sewed down everything with a light green thread.

I colored Playtime with my Copic Markers and white gel pen, then cut it with my oval Nestibilities die. I layered a scalloped cut die behind that and gel pen stitched it down. I stamped the Happy Birthday from Papertrey Ink.. I think... directly onto the image. Now how much do you love those felt buttons? I thought they were perfect for a kids cards. They are from Buttons Galore & More I found them at the Expo I went to last month, and they came in lots of colors. I tied a glitter ribbon through each one and then stuck them down with glue dots.

Now at this point I thought my card was all done... but then remembered I had purchased some new glitter glue last week was the exact color of the paper. This glue is from Studio G.... I was not impressed! Very sticky, won't let go of the bottle. But I got all my dots on each scallop and things looked good. I set the card aside, when I picked the card up a couple of hours later... I nearly cried! The dots ran, and just look horrible. But it was too late to do anything about it. So I will probably by giving that stuff to the kids to play with! So sad.... Other than that I hope you like my card.

And make sure to run over to the Spoon Full of Sugar Challenge blog and see the other DT cards, oh my they are really cute!

Now for a couple of baby photos - I went out this morning and took 24 photos of Freddie.... these were the only two that 1/2 way came out. This little guy is going to be a blurr! Always moving, jumping, jerking his head in excitement... and putting his ears back and running to me. Very difficult to photograph, but a pure joy to be around!

Doc came out yesterday and gave both him and Momma a clean bill of health and loved all over them. He is amazed as we are over all of the stripes on his legs. I am telling you they are just gorgeous! He said he had never seen anything like that on a Donkey before, and his father bred donkeys for decades. I keep calling him "FRED my Zonkey"... and yes there is a such thing, they cross donkeys with Zebras....

One more thing today. If you could please add a special prayer for my 6 year old nephew, Tagen. He is having surgery on both legs/ankles today to correct some tendon, muscle and bone problems. He has a rare form of CP.. no I can't spell that out. He has had lots of medical issues, but this kid is an amazing child, he really is an inspiration to keep on going and smile the entire time. He is a pure blessing to all of us, but today he is really going through something tough, and it will be a long 3 or 4 months of full leg cast to regular cast, to braces... and then hopefully no braces and walking normally. So please say a prayer for him, and my sister and her husband during this time.

Thanks so much -

I hope you have a great Tuesday and have some time to get inky-
HUGS and-
