Whiff of Joy Sketch

Snowmen aren't my thing usually. I think I have said this before, I mean hey I'm in Texas I've only seen Snow on the ground here like 3 or 4 times my entire life... But this new stamp from Whiff of Joy just struck me - I had to have it, just too cute! Maybe it is my odd humor I have and I loved that Herb was putting her head back on. "Herb in Love" is here now and when it arrived two days ago I pulled it out and was ready to do this weeks Whiff of Joy Challenge this week. I got more of the new images from the new collection, but Herb was going to be used first!

It is a great challenge this week it is another gorgeous sketch by Heather, and I love her sketches! So as soon as it was up yesterday I printed it out and went to work on my card. I stamped out Herb and his love and colored it with my Copics, Sakura Glaze Pens and Spica Glitter pens, love all the details on this image. I then used the pattern papers from K&Company Company Cheer collection, really beautiful papers. I cut my papers to fit the challenge and inked the edges with brown ink on everything. I then sewed down all the pieces to a sage green card stock. Matted the image on the same card stock and sewed it down. I ran a small satin ribbon across the middle with three Prima Poinsettias with copper jewelry spacers and brads. Then the image is pop dotted onto the card. Now the sentiment... I know odd huh? The sentiment is printed from my computer and well this is the card I would send to my Hubby for Christmas... and with my odd humor and the image it is the perfect card with love to him! Hope they like it at Whiff of Joy -

Today was suppose to be shopping day with MIL, but I have been grounded. Yes Darlene is really looking close to delivering, and we have a front coming in today. The temp is suppose to drop like 20-30 degrees in a couple of hours this afternoon. That would be when Darlene would love to deliver, girl like to have her babies during fronts! So it could be today, tonight or anytime this weekend. But it is coming soon! WE THINK - sigh -
Well off to get the day going and check on Darlene for the 10th time already today!
HUGS and-

I am on a snowman/snowwoman kick now and love them! This one always makes me laugh cause sometimes it makes me think of my hubby- he has to put my head back on me sometimes when I lose it! LOL! You did a fab job on the card (for a woman with no snow I mean!)

Fantastic card. I love the stitching you have done on it. I have ordred this image as I want to make it for my hubby for our anniversary in January. Since we got married on the coldest snowiest day of that year I think it is more than appropriate!
