Dust It Off Sunday - 3 - HANGLAR!!

Dust It Off Sunday #3!! And this week, I pulled out my Misc. Box of unmounted stamps - and found my Hanglars... I SO love the very few Hanglars I have, but to be honest, they have not seen any ink in a VERY long time. I have had such a hard time getting the ones I have - and thanks so much to the wonderful friends that have helped me get them. So before I get LOTS of emails asking where and how I got them here in the US... Internet Friends :0) Otherwise I would have none.

This is one of my Winter Favorites -
They are just so cute looking, and heck wouldn't you just love anyone offering cookies and a warm refreshment? I would like to think it is cocoa... as I am really not a hot tea lover, but hey you can pretend it is whatever you like. :0)  I colored with my Copics, and then high lighted with a white gel pen. The corners were rounded and then matted with a piece of Basic Grey Joval pattern paper cut with a Nestie Laced Square.  And that is where I stopped for a few days - LOL I never color and mat an image with out knowing anything about my card. But this Dust It off thing has me just having fun inking and coloring old favorites.

A few days later I came back to my image, smiled, and decided to go with more Basic Grey papers - this time from the Wassail Paper Pad. The two patterns match the colors from my image, and have that holiday winter feel. I matted and sewed together. I used the stripe as a band across the card - with a Martha Stewart Border Punch, I think this is called double loops? Maybe?... need to find out. The sentiment is brand new, found it in the dollar section at Michaels. Love the font and the "Warm Wishes" Goes well with that warm drink they are offering. LOL I then found deep in my stash of stuff some Cloud Nine epoxy stickers that match the pattern paper, and were the perfect small embellishment for this card.

I hope you are inspired to DUST OFF a few of your older stamps - make sure to share yours with me so I can visit you! Just leave me a link here so I can find you. I am already coloring next weeks image ;0)
